Very best intro to the Twin Otter on MSFS2020 and especially its AP-ILS-NAV functions, and I have watched more than a dozen. Bonus info: you fully explained the engine/power instrumentation before takeoff - something I have not been able to find anywhere else. Clear and very essential. I think too many "tutorials" flip through the dials and switches so fast one cannot understand what actions are being taken, and there's rarely an explanation of why things are important, example: your comments on the uses of bleed air. I did not know that it was connected to both cabin heat and de-icing. Thanks for staying on topic My experience is that a lot of videos, trying to be chatty, have so many "side comments" about unimportant things that one loses the main flow. Bottomline: This Twin Otter tutorial is the best one out by far.

BTW - today I tried a 2otter ILS landing at 10R KMRY. Same plane, same bad behavior. At 1 mile from touchdown it dropped off the glide path. No indication of why. Almost bought the farm.
So far I've noticed when the speed decreases it starts falling off the GP. If I keep the speed up to 120Kts it seem to do OK. In my opinion that is not modeled correctly.
Hi Bandit, As you may know two or three updates have been made available by Aerosoft, I know these updates are valid but it may depend which supplier the aircraft was purchased from, in other words I am not sure if the market place has made the same updates available as Aerosoft has, in my case my download was fro A/S I believe the issue re the navigation anomaly VOR beacons is now fixed, be great if you did another flight if you have these updates now. Btw, thanks to some perseverance from some of us in the community and refusing to acknowledge the autopilot issues were user error, we have found a few cfg tweaks that makes the autopilot work. On the official forums if you are interested. Love your videos as always.

Very good video! My first attempt at an ILS landing was a failure. This plane is a little different than the others. Full idle means that the propellers are used as speed brakes while flying. Flight idle is at around 10-15% thrust. I did not know that. Happy Landings! (Google Translator)
Thanks, It's not uncommon that going idle on a turboprop creates a lot of drag, most descents will be preformed with some power added as opposed to going idle as you would in most jet aircraft. Cheers!
Nice video. A vey neat plane but appears to still be in beta. Another reviewer who is a pilot found the same problem with the HSI and other things but liked the plane. I'm sure they'll update it soon. I like how you work around things while flying. Nice landing.
It's all very FSX! Have they just done a port over and excluded all the interactive checklists (Asobo can't do) and the failures(Asobo can't do)! What AS have done is highlight things Asobo can't do! Thanks. Btw. Sound is aweful! They mixed up external and internal! Aweful!

i had this offline/online/offline struggle too and it was due to a faulty LAN cable - didnt experience it again after replacing the cable

Thanks Gumper. Overall the plane should be pretty good, once they fix a few things . I cant believe they missed the HSI issue in testing though.

Also, the sound transitions such as selecting reverse are terrible.
