I'm in the market for a standon lawn mower. Great review Lopez. However, as for the height adjustment latch, I think the nodule on the height adjustment bar is suppose to slide below the "catch bar". The black "catch bar" act as a safety latch too. So the idea of the design was the have the user "intentionally" engage the adjustment bar. I get it, the "flaw" adds another manual step. Nevertheless, I agree, they need to redesign it to reduce the amount of "work" people need to do.
Great review. Always good to hear reviews from people who actually use this equipment every day and find the flaws. I currently have a tire that leaks and I believe the tweels are the way to go. Especially with the uneven mow height when a tire is low.
Try this stuff called flat out. I put new tires on my Bobcat 36" walk behind. With brand new tires back then. Caught a wire on the side wall. I plugged in the field & put a half bottle of Flat-Out. Still holding air in both tires. Slim eats the tire up after 1 year
If you were only going to run 2 stand one mowers which would you pick? (Thinking of putting together a 1-ton srw truck with the ramprack to do small commercial and residential properties with)
Toro forsure and I'm really lovin my ferris. One good thing about toro standers u can really shorten up with putting the foot stand up gives u alot of room
I believe Scag puts there controls under the operators handle to protect them when your mowing under low branches I don’t know about you but I’ve gone with my 36” and the tree branches manages to catch on the throttle and bring it down… that’s my guess not sure but definitely getting a 36” Scag stand on been hearing really good things about them cut and leaf pick up quality! we have a Bad Boy Maverick 54" 726 Kawasaki and its a great machine. leaves a really even cut quality. I am a bigger guy and the control arms have adjustments so they don't hit my belly.
Just saw this and I agree with you brotha on the badboy. It's really good and I also have the 36 scag vride 2 but love the scag more. I currently selling my badboy with very low hours almost new due to the fact that doesn't keep charge
Appreciate the details on all the mowers! What happened to your Gravely? I'm considering a prostance 36, but I have dealers for all these brands you're covering nearby, my first big commercial mower. I'm so torn. That deck height adjustment on the bad boy stand on really looks like a poor design like you pointed out. The toro brake coming disengaged kind of blows my mind! Thanks!
The gravely was a great mower biggest regret I did was selling it. I should have kept it. Yeah the 36 grandstand there brake sucks that mower is always moving all over the trailer
I’m looking at investing in a new commercial mower myself and was almost settled on an exmark then I was going to get bad boy ( actually 2 of em ) because of the price difference between the two but now that I have seen and touched a spartan mower the spartan stand on is outstanding and I believe it is the best option out there!!!!!!! Decisions decisions
scag my opinion hands down. there tanks n worth the lil extra money. your not getting the life outta the cheap mowers. especially if your running a business. scag
I thinks good to always try other equipment badboys are great mowers but I love my scag stander and very glad I brought it. This year instead of buying the cheetah 61in scag I'm getting another badboy renegade 61in sit down.

What is your favorite stander as of May 2023? And roughly how much do they cost? I currently have a 58 inch bad boy but it’s not a stander
Scag out of these three but in terms of service and reliability I would have to say exmark.

Tweels should NOT be the price they are ! They can’t cost that much more to manufacture than regular tires and that’s why I don’t run them at all .
tires? stens has a tire sealant that will do it up right

On the brakes on the toro the lever you need heavy duty garribener to hold it in place instead of a wire
Bad Boy is a step down from Scag and Toro.

Bad boy doesn't even deserve to be in comparison, not even on the same level....it's Scag hands down for cut quality and durability.
Scab has fallen down so far in quality the past 10 years that they shouldn’t be compared to anything but Home Depot mowers !🎉🎉🎉🎉 I’ve owned 4 of them
And Bad Boy has a ways to go before they can play with the Big dogs 🎉
