@@JBKonsCreations Hope you have a great year and even greater one next year. Yeah I gonna just keep buying mold cuz it too expensive to make my own. Still it is pretty cool when you make your own.
You could try finding a Makers Space that has a laser cutter. In Tulsa we have one at our central library with a laser cutter that can be used for free. Just buy your own materials. But there's other Makers Spaces that charge you a membership fee that's reasonable. Or you could try finding someone who already has one & pay them to make it for you.
Cool! MUCH BETTER than the old cookie mold way of doing it. Thanks! I went to her website, but I have no idea how to order a heart mold blank. Incidentally, if you don't use a vacuum chamber for your silicone, you cannot put the molds in a pressure pot - it will bring out all the hidden bubbles.
Thank-you! Ooof good question! I had my respirator on so Im not sure and I usually leave my office before taking off my mask. But it can’t be that bad since there wasn’t much smell throughout the house. I got sent a resin before that stank up my WHOLE house. I could even smell it in the second floor.😓
Nice one Jessica, you did a great job. Actually I just made small alphabet acrylic blank with housing and will have to make a mold out of it then upload it on my YT channel. But at the moment, I’m editing a tutorial on my S&T calendar to upload tomorrow (New Years day). Thanks for sharing 👍🏽 and I wish you a happy new 2023 year 🎉.
@@JBKonsCreations Hi Jessica, just uploaded the silicone mold making with the housed blank acrylic I made. Not perfect but useful for my purpose 😂. Still editing my calendar 📆.
The bags would look great in resin.😊
That is suuuper cool! Love the heart one and the star!!
The star one is the perfect size. ☺😘

@@JBKonsCreations Ya, smells carry a long way! 🙊
Wonderful tutorial! ❤️ Thank you for the information! ❤️
thankyou Monett! Did you get the mold making elves box? Happy New Year! 🥳
I have made a lot of molds with items I have sculpted using lets resin silicone as well as several others and have been able to use uv resin in them.
ooo thats good to know, thankyou! I haven’t tried using the UV yet, been too lazy.😂
And when trimming the mold you should try pinching it up a little as you trim for a smooth trim

Just a tip you should try to pour the silicone all in one pour and folsom 4 to 6 inches above you mold to reduce bubbles.
If the acrylic sheet is layered, won't there be a mark on the edge of the line that will show the layering of acrylic?
I didn’t know she sale the blanks!!
I'm not exactly sure she does it full time but be sure to reach out to her if you're interested :)
@@JBKonsCreations okay I will thanks
I have made a mould but it took 10 litres of silicone as it was a 1/6 horse model I was making a mould of 😬🐴
Wow! That’s a lot of silicone😂 I hope it turned out good! 🙂
You may get a visit from Dr. Venkman, Ray, Spangler, and Egon. 😂 thank you for the inspiration. You live in New York? Just kidding.
GhostBusters FTW!😂
