yea in the 80s johnny was a bully but daniel was also just to a lesser extent then johnny was. Case and point spraying johnny with water was the mark of a bully on daniels part. So, from johnnys perpective it could be argued daniel asked for some of what was done to him in the form of retrobution.
You know what the best part about this fight is? The fact that Johnny isnt portrayed as the unstoppable badass. Not only does he take a few hits, but even that first kick he does, it strains his groin because he hasn't done something like that in years. Normally youd see that happen and a character will be like, "yup, I've still got it," rather than "Oww!' Johnny was outside all four of their leagues, but hes a much more realistic old fighter than Mr. Miyagi was.
I think that’s the point. Johnny was rusty, but Mr Miyagi was always practicing his art. Not to mention he always came across as a special talent when it came to fighting. He wasn’t your average fighter, and it’s part of what made him special.
When I first seen this I didn’t expect Johnny Lawrence to even do this. This fight is similar to how Johnny and his friends were beaten by Mr. Miyagi when he saved Daniel. However unlike that fight the cops ended up arresting Johnny.
@@ChadTower Lol. Yeah the sensei that at 18 would demonstrate these 720 degree spin kicks, at 50 it'll be (to his young student): "Uh, Ben, would you come up here please?"
Would be something similar as when Robby kicked all Cobra Kai asses in season 4. All of them would have kissed the ground without even connecting a single punch to Johnny.
yes in real life a kick to the head would knock someone out the head is fragile when hit hard. Thats why foot ball players get concusions from hard hits and they had to redesign the helmets to prevent injury.

I hate phony youtube bullies who watch a few videos on mma and think they can fight so they bully people. Its very awesome seeing them taken down . Even if this is fiction its great to see bullies get whats coming to them for sure!!
This scene where a wrestler and his friends clearly watched too many martial art movies, vs someone who trained hard to the bone for 5 years. There is no competition.
The cops reaction was spot on to reality. Well, they may have shot Johnny first but the pepper spray to a guy they assumed was the aggressor seemed reasonable for them. No situation a cop won't make worse.
Always with the same argue, bullies vs the good one in the wrong place at the wrong time. Guilties vs inocent... The same formula repeated a trillion times, and keep selling😅😅
Every time I see this scene, this is the single handedly most realistic display of what Karate would look like in real life, taking physical strength, size and weight into account ofc. Not every Karate practitioner can fight, but a prime Johnny could definitely have been representing Karate in the UFC even.
This was the moment I knew I would love this show. Having a drunken adult beat up a bunch of teenagers in a non R-rated show? Yes please. Even in the Jaden Smith movie they kinda backed out of it by making Jackie Chan basically have the kids beat themself up.
This scene demonstrates how Daniel in the 1st movie should have behaved from moment 1. Don't get involved in other peoples disputes, troubles. And Johnny was minding his business as we all should. Until they F'd with his property. The kids should have respected his request to back off. That is on them. Just like Daniel should have backed off, but did not. Johnny was just defending himself. At no time is he "bullying" anyone. He did not go looking for trouble. The title of "bully" being hung on Johnny has always been inaccurate. The kids here, certainly were bullying. I have experience with bullies. Too many in fact. Both being bullied and standing up for others being bullied. Be mindful tho, being a "hero" can have bad repercussions on everyone around you. Don't get involved if you have people you care about. ;)
From being beaten up as a bully, to beating the bullies, to beating cobra kai senseis, he's come a long way
