Men At Work was a great band. It’s a Mistake is one of my favorites. Anti-War song, I am from the Vietnam era and hated that war. Let the Vietnamese in a civil war figure out their own problems. Vietnam is still Communist, and it is a very successful country now.
Because as influential as Ringo is, he is not a very technical drummer, and some of the songs the All Starr Band play require a higher level of technical execution than he can muster. He can keep a reasonably solid simple groove, but thats about it. You will see other concerts where Greg Bissonette plays drums with him.
True, though others have done it. Joe walsh travels with 2. One is a multi instrumentalist who performs other duties at times. Joe Vitale is a hired gun for many bands on the road and does it all and from behind a drumkit. At times drumming with the other drummer. Ringo has to be front and center at times. On this tour she is only on drums, and can do things ringo cannot.
