This was really fascinating Thank you I think my biggest takeaway was its difficult to teach new behaviours to dogs when they're stressed. I think I read somewhere they can take 72 hours to come down from that big spike in adrenaline and therefore need quiet activities and time to decompress before starting training- I'm guessing it's similar for us too? I always end training my dog with time for some gentle play and time for him to sleep so he can process what he's learnt. I'm now thinking maybe I need to adopt these principles to developing better habits for myself too 😊😂 Completely agree dogs are our 'epicentre of our families and the best teachers of ourselves' 😊 thanks again for the podcast
