I Wanna Be A Singer But My Mother Does Not I Think I Sing Well. She Expects Me To Be Like Whitney or Aretha. BUT I wanna sing like myself. The Lesson I Learned Is Not To Care What People Think. I Sing Everyday And I Love It. Thank You For Making Me Believe In Myself I Have Daddy, My School Teacher, Brother In Law and You As My Supporters Thanks Wendy. Love From South Africa🇿🇦
Believe in yourself and practice! You have to sound like yourself and no one else! There's already an Aretha but there is only one you and no one else can sound like you because you're the only you in the world! Be authentic... just be and just sound like yourself!
Omg only two mins in and you’ve helped me figure out my MAJOR issue it’s when I disconnect from that true pure place and start worrying about if it’s good enough and then I always mess up or go flat or lose breathe or something to prove I’m not good enough to myself but it’s all cause I disconnected from the place I was singing from internally and began to let external influences of the mind seep in and distract me from the grace I was once delivering through sound of voice, My sincerest of thanks 🙏 and blessings to you for this video
I can relate to your story substantially. You have given me an insane amount of knowledge, encouragement and inspiration to continue to chase my dream of becoming a singer and actress. I'm thankful you're apart of my journey and have been for a few years now. Thank you from all of us, Wendy, for your spirit, expert advise, and love to other artists! You're a wonderful woman. ♥️
I am so glad to hear this Alyssa! xoxoxoxox And I am deeply moved by your comment. Thank you for taking the time to tell me and to appreciate what I do. That means a lot to me.
A friend recently recommended your channel to me, I must say THANK YOU for making these videos. I am going to strengthen my voice and do what I love. ❤
Wow!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾I was looking for information on how to be a professional singer. Finally came across this video……. And CHILE!!!!! EXCELLENT!!! Information and Advice THANK YOU 🙏🏽
I'm 11 years old,and I have a lot of dreams but ask my mom,I sing alot,I just don't know if I can sing.I can relate to you,so much,I put on a song on Spotify and feel like I'm at a concert! Listening you makes me realize that I shouldn't care what people think. I can't practice as much as you,but trust me, singing is a dream I want to achieve :))
WOW you sound so *good* ! You're great OMG would you consider uploading videos of you singing? Or maybe you could open a channel when you do covers :D you do have a gift !!!
I guess I was on the right track I did the same but then stopped cause I felt I need to sing authentically not like someone else but I was right. That's a good sign. Thanks!
I could relate so much to what you were saying, you're so right! And this is the first time I'm kinda excited about homework haha You greatly are gifted with your voice! I loved the short clips of you singing 🤗
everything you said reflected my history w/voice & progression as talented singing kid, semi -equity performing teen & on into adulthood . . . i also have sat down w/the tape recorder & 'mimicked' every word of a song, preparing for auditions!! i, too, used to covet the 45 rpm label & belt out tunes for neighbours. the 1st album i ever heard was the original cabaret broadway soundtrack & i was considered awfully 'precocious' for a 4 yr old ('telephone song' was my favourite!) i can't wait to watch the rest of this series & to get back on track w/this, maybe you will have tips on which mics are best to buy or about midi, whatever you call it sound mixing studios to use . . .

Ever since I was 10 years old I would go home after school and play my cassette tapes of rock and pop music and sing my heart out along to the songs. I had friends who asked me if that got boring and I said, No. I think people thought I was a nerd for being so much into music while the neighborhood kids were into sports.
Amazing advice. Very excited about this series! I’ve been watching your videos forever (both my daughters love to sing and act.) Just joined the TMFA group on fb and between what I learned through your videos and the group about self tape, adjustments to the resume, etc, my younger daughter just booked her second short film! First and second within the same month!! You are amazing. Thanks for all you do and I’m sure this will help them both as well!
Great series! I'm working on my Green card as we speak, I'm a voice actor in Canada. Keep up the amazing work - you have such varied directions for so many areas. Really great of you - I wish I had this when I started on my journey years ago hah
I’m from new haven Lol our cities cousins😂 but I really wanna be like the greats Mj, prince, Beyoncé. In a way like not copying them. But own the stage every time I step on it. Continue grow as in my artistry and evolve. I don’t wanna be like no other artist today because a lot lack passion

I dont know if you have already said this but i am from a small town near conneticut and would love to know how you started in the area as a singer and actress and how you were able to become successful not originating in california. Love your channel and all of your tips!

How do you hit each note if it's too high or too low? In general too low isn't really my problem it's really rather going upward it's hard imo to hit notes above the 5th octave most singers sing in the top 5 and 6th octave

❤️❤️❤️
👏👏👏
You say you can sing every note... Does that mean you can do whistle tone? 😁
On pitch!
I want to start a singing career but my voice is really bad and I am 15
Start training your voice with a voice teacher. You can train with Mark, our HWC voice coach! www.markantoniodevilliers.com
can you sing for us
But don't ever copy the notes bad singers sing, as that wouldn't be a good way to learn how to sing... So only learn from the best 😊
Hey can we get together for some help
