Fantastic video thank you for the breakdown!!!!! The only drum brakes I’ve ever done were four wheeler brakes thanks to your video I could see that the auto adjusters were completely missing in my truck!
this video was more helpful than you can imagine. I took my drum off to change wheel cylinder and a piece of metal in a spring just fell on the concrete. I know any of the so-called mechanics I took it to that identify what the part was. simply by watching this video I figured out what it was, the not what it was called lol. I think this man for his knowledge and willingness to share it.
Great video, my only advice is the last part, when attaching that piece its better to use a flat head screw driver to mount the cable on the pulley after connecting the spring.
Great job Mike but one question. The pin that the self adjuster is attached to on the shoe is NOT on my replacements. How do I remove this from the old shoe and reuse it?
would be nice to see from dead center as the issue i am dealing with is the brake adjuster which you can't see at all and makes video useless for me.....

You, sir, are life saver! I got my drum back together and now my truck stops. :) Thanks so much!

Damn drum brakes great job man.
Outstanding.
Any idea where you can get that parking brake lever you have there in hand 45 seconds into it....I am missing on the passenger side. Thx

Thank you so much for your helpful video.
Eric Marshall No problemo :)
Nicely done.
Thanks Tom!
is the left side of the video the rear of the truck? does the thicker shoe go to the back of the truck?
Chuck Carroll Hi Chuck. Yeah, that is the left side of the truck (drivers side). The larger brake shoe goes on the right or towards the back.

the springs broke and caused a mess ....... wanted to see what it was supposed to look like .... found another site....thanks

I just yanked it out with some vice grips and pressed into the new one with my vice.
