Thanks wooooo for the video. Always love opportunities to get insight from competitive players I wanted to comment on Krayt Dragon being overrated. I generally agree, with one exception being against Red/Green. But wanted to expanded on the points you made with it. First, It is a very matchup dependent card. Blue: It is weakest against blue since its removal trades up in value with it. Yellow: 2nd worst matchup since they can bounce it or exhaust and close out games before it can even swing. Red/Green: Strongest here since multiple cards have to be used just to deal with 1. Devastator can deal with it but have to be able to take the 10 dmg. This being played on an empty board means its basically game for your opponent. The problem is it not having an immediate impact like other cards in similar cost. It also generally needs to be setup to play (i.e. as close to empty ground arena as possible). But it's strength comes in play when your opponent has no answer that isn't an event since any ground unit played can just be taken out by its trigger. I just want to that this card is only a finisher if you are ahead and I feel like this what people miss about this card.
I think part of the reason why people play fang over confiscate is that it has other uses. In aggo decks, its still a space unit that punches for 3 after the effect is gone. You can use it the following turn to knock out a phantom, awing, red3, arc or other early space unit.
Cutting Bodhi from mono yellow is a really hot take. But Viper droid is underplayed (don't ever see it in Boba yellow). Play the viper, then you can choose to resource Bodhi or hit that overwhelming barrage or cunning the other player kept on initial hand draw. This is often a game winning play.
I disagree on take down but only because I think it's meant as a late game card more than early. if you're playing a deck that's getting to later turns it's good as a finisher for ambush units like Vader or maul that have some damage on them or if you're able to pump damage into units. I don't think of it necessarily as straight removal but as the scalable one of the removals
@@iamwooooo Sorry if this is a weird reply, but after watching this, I did changes to my Rey/Green deck based on this video and what you would like to see more and it really feels like the deck is a lot better. Thank you again!
Ok but if your Iden/Krennic is Rival’s Fall better? I see why with Qi’ra but why not the other two (or even heriosm decks)? If I ramp, I can RF the Boba on the same turn he comes out which is very satisfying
I like the client in Bossk decks. He hard counters Sabine there. If you can Bossk claim the bounty twice, you've basically doubled your base health. That will get you pretty far ahead in the aggro race. Outside that, I don't think I've gotten any use from him
Be me a green/red/yellow player. Hear takedown and rival's fall underrated. Cry in corner because of the times it shut me down and having to play like they have it
I am realizing that myself in recently tournaments.

Great video! I really enjoyed the insight and recommendations you had for alternative cards for things like fang fighter and rivals fall. Is it possible to get that sort of insight for concord dawn interceptor and some of the other cards too? I know its situational and different decks will want different solutions, but I'm thinking about it from a "I was using karabast and concord to solve something like young han's space weakness. Those are my options for staving off early space aggression, if I dont use those what should I be using instead?" angle.
I do think both Concord and Karabast still serve a specific purpose, and certainly are still considerations (just maybe worth reviewing and possibly trimming). I think there's a robust removal package available in those colors, so my main point is that I don't think we always need to tunnel on any specific one card.
I have a single Rival's Fall in my Rey Blue right now for basically Boba(s Armor). However, I am also running 2x Regional Gov. and 1 Jedi Lightsaber (for Kanan or Yoda to swing into Boba on the flip if that is possible (not often the case). Anyone any suggestions on what might be better than RF or how to deal with Boba's Armor? On Karabast I've been seeing a huge uptick on the card.
I feel like Takedown is one you really do want in board or 1 in main in most cases with shields running rampant. No it's not efficient and I do like Make an Opening more than most but sometimes its just the one card that can remove something annoying. This is still a relatively small card pool
I tried kylo yellow on the weekend and used artificery's list on karabast. It has 3 bobas, and while playing I was getting rid of them more often that not. I've been meaning to look at replacing them with something else, this is reinforcing my feeling on that. I actually own one boba unit so i might keep it as a one off.
@@BigTx1 I think there are a lot of options. Can try Phase III Dark Trooper in green decks if you're looking for a different three drop, but can also look at other removal or even move up the curve to shore up the mid and late game.
@@iamwooooodid you think about adding Childsen in your 25 base deck instead of the client and maybe a ressuply? With the number of Blue cards in your deck it could be a 5/5 quite easy and you can untap + barrage next turn... Also I Would rather play the 3/2 spaceship with sentinel instead of the entrenched
Yeah this was a bad take, karabast is the mvp in aggro matchups, r2 for free shoot their t1 is insane, t2 karabast before they wing leader their dude and then still play your own Sabine or A wing, karabast is a 3 of in young Han if you are winning
Bad against Sabine? I've played Traitorous against a Maz Kanata that was a 3/3 before they added a Darksaber to it, so I grabbed it as a 7/6, then put out two Stormtroopers that turn to make it a 9/8 Maz Kanata.
@@iamwooooo It would only work in game 1, since they'll be ready for it in game 2, but I've made good use of traitorous against Sabine with Traitorous. It's a shock factor, especially if they put darksaber on something 3 cost or less. I'll steal Maz and Sundari and make use of their abilities with a Vader Green ramp deck. It's that or make use of Overwhelming Barrage, can't do both for a 5 drop strategy.
I really like your insights and content you make. But I just cant get over the constant burping you make. I see its from video to video so if it is a medical condition I apologize in advance but if it is just something "you do" or you are recording videos after eating or this happens because you run out of breath etc. try to work on it. It is distracting and it diminishes your work in this community which is very good and wholesome. At least for me. Take care and hope you continue the good work you do for this game.
I wish people would play Pillage less lol
If you play empire you can play palaptine's return, pillagers will love the turn 5 Snoke or Palapatine ;)

It certainly can feel good to snipe that Darksaber!

Rivals fall is pretty helpful in Rey as that deck can struggle sometimes against big leaders.
With the change to Leaders coming into play when deployed does that mean Toro can deal 1 damage to your leader to ready himself? Thanks for the video!
Although leaders come in to play now, they aren't "played" and Toro only triggers when you play a bounty hunter.

It crossed my mind but I'm really happy with Lom Pyke and Gideon right now so it would be hard to fit.
