@@APSTLSL Thanks for the support mate! I think Twilight of the Republic has a lot of much anticipated cards and will be a lot more popular than Shadows turned out to be.
Would love your take on if the new ventress leader gets first strike effect if you play surprise strike as your first event of turn on her? Will she be a 6/4 without first strike or 7/4 with it? Saw two different takes on Reddit based on the wording “have played an event this phase” since the surprise strike hasn’t resolved completely it may not be considered “played” yet.
You always come up with tricky questions. Love it! According to 6.2.5.C: If the card is an event, place the event in it's owner's discard pile, then resolve its ability. I think that based on this, once the ability of Surprise Strike gets to resolve, it should count as "you having played an event". Could be wrong on this though, will have to dig a bit deeper!
@@Oneidos_Gaming lol so many one off interactions that aren’t perfectly spelled out. love your content, keep it up! The only thing keeping me from thinking ventress should be a 7/4 first strike is the interaction with bane and ma Klounkee since the when played trigger has to wait for the card effect to finish but it’s different since that deals with nested triggers. I do think they should allow her to be a 7/4 since it opens a lot of play but curious what the official ruling will be
@@Gamer3171 Thanks for the kind words, means a lot! They'll probably update the comprehensive rules, or at least provide card-specific clarifications for cases like Ventress/Surprise Strike.
Can Dooku leader add to the Exploit that a unit already has? For example, can he make Separatist Super Tank essentially have Exploit 4 instead of Exploit 3?
Yes, exploit stacks, but to get the reduced cost in this case you need 3 units to get the cost reduced by 6, you could also pay as normal, since exploit is a May ability
Hey, thanks for tuning in! According to current rules, yes, since Exploit is followed by a numeral, it can stack. 7.5.4. If a card is given a keyword it already has, those keywords do not “stack” (meaning, the card does not gain any additional effects) unless those keywords are followed by a numeral, a cost, or an em dash and ability text. If they are followed by a numeral, the numbers following each keyword are added together.
Can't wait for Ventress! Great video, there's always something new about the game to learn here!

You finish playing the event before the event starts resolving according to the rules.
