That why I love classic cars, like my box Chevy. Tons of space.. best alternative is Volvo. But in general old US cars are the best!

You dont have to drain the radiator at all. The fan can be unmounted from the bottom. Without disconnecting any radiator lines.

don't touch the rad, the top two bolts at the top of the fan can be removed with lots of patience and a 10mm open end wrench. Then lift up off the clips at the bottom and remove the fan. these things are getting old and all the plastic and clips are decaying fast...the less they're handled the better I think.

My goodness so many unnecessary steps here. You never had to touch the radiator. Fan can be unbolted from radiator.

Easy peasy....nothing to it....only had 4 bolts leftover, and it still doesn't work. Lol

Where is the coolant temperature sensor ?

Passenger side. Not completely out in the open, but you can see it from above. Its connected into the thermostat housing. Theres a rectangular clip around the coolant sensor plug that needs to be pulled out just enough to remove the sensor. Dont need to pull the clip completely off, but it can pop off easily and get lost if not careful.
