Any idea how to make the radio use the headset mic instead of the radio mic? I've got a Honeywell Sync Wireless earmuffs and cannot figure out how to get the headset mic to take audio instead of the radio mic.
My pairing works well, and I can hear ATC in my Bose A20. But I also hear ATC in the ICOM speaker. Is there a way that I hear ONLY in the Bose A20?
To sum up some previous questions along with my own;
1) How do you transmit? through the button on the transceiver? or a seperate PTT?
2) If I've got my A20 connected to the aircraft intercom/radio system, can I use the cabled intercom (for my pax) and the handheld for radio via bluetooth in case my main radio dies?
3) can I have both my A20 and phone connected for the application connection?
I do not own a handheld (yet) And I'm debating between the Icom A25NE and yaesu 750 or 550. Bluetooth sounds great, and I prefer the overall look of the Icom. but the 750 offers more functions minus the bluetooth.
Did you find the answers to your questions? I have the exact same questions about it. My current comms are on the fritz so I need something until l can get them fixed.
@@mjdelaney44 I own the icom A25NE now, and transmitting is done by the PTT on the receiver. even with A20 connected.
I love to have the bluetooth set up and use the radio to listen out ATIS on the C172 I fly. (Planes with G1000 have double radio's so I don't need it there) But because I'm used to having the secondary radio from the G1000, I miss it in others. (here's where the A25 comes in handy)
Also the programming of channels and channel groups is very useful.
So, I can recommend it if that's what you're looking for. (I have not used any of the nav items yet, but that's not what I bought it for.)

How do you transmit once the headset is paired with the A25N? Do you still have to push the button on the radio? Would you also have to attach/connect a PTT of some sort?

Same question here. Wondering why it's not mentioned. Not even in the manual (I checked the IC-A16B and no info either).
does anyone knows if we need external PTT or the radio PTT?!
