I was 10 years old. This car still is the childhood dream that never came true. I wanted one of these SO SO bad. My older brother had one , and I will never forget my rides in it.
IMO, that car is too clean to mess with. I had a black '88 GT with a grey interior with the same options I bought new in '87. I advanced the timing, removed the inner fender silencer, put in a K&N filter on it, and put on the Ford Motorsports "off road" exhaust (no cats). It ran 13.90s on the stock Goodyear Gatorbacks. Back then the only "stock" car that was beating me was an occasional Grand National.
I had a 5.7 L IROC Z. had a 3 stage hyper tech chip pulleys air charger ram air flow master exhaust from the cat back BnM shift kit 3500 stall speed converter and ran 1370s 1380s. The car was a freak it ran 1450 1460s stock put 150 shot of nitrous on it and the best I ran was a 12 6 i’m friends with the dude that they bought the car off of he’s had every muscle car from the 80s can imagine
Cutting that up should be illegal..😅

Had a bout of nostalgia a few weeks ago and posted up my old vids of my 1989. Now viewing other Stang videos and yours is not helping me - I miss my Mustang!! Enjoy the car!

When the first thing the new owners do with your super clean, well-maintained and -documented Mustang is a burnout, you immediately realize you’ve given your precious into good hands. 😨

This is like a period correct museum piece, everything you’ll do to it makes it worse if it’s not for preserving the original look.
