Right after the door breaching test because that stand-alone door. Could have been there so it wouldn't break the actual shed's door and the frame would have been structurally reenforced. Instead of like in the test. Probably wouldn't have splintered. You're likely to get carried off into theatrics though if you see it as beat after beat performances though with these things.

Knocking out the shed door and pacifying a room full of targets with a grenade per action and then shilling for both firms afterward would make the sequence more valuable to both sponsors and to these guys. That bit where the grenade came looking for him really should have stayed on the blooper reel. As long as they're selling out anyway, they should make the most of it.

Homemade explosives are notorious for either not working at all, not working as intended, or blowing up the user. It takes a LOT more knowledge and experience than watching a few UA-cam videos to build something safe that works right. I would have no problem with Antifa blowing themselves up.

I'll never forget when swat came to do a demo for one of our fish & wildlife dept training exercises. They brought a folding cardboard shaped entry breach charge, but not an entry door. They bought the cheap interior hollow door like you & they had drywall sides - It was one of the most spectacular method of making toothpick I've ever seen & I think the guys stacking up for entry nearly pee'd themselves. They were expecting a nice hole but there wasn't anything left of the door or moldings. Luckily everyone was kit up & no serious injuries besides maybe a set of blown out underwear😂👍🏼

I've never understood why private companies won't sell these to civilians. They're not illegal to own or use, just impossible to get your hands on. I see this happening with a lot of things, but the flashbang/stinger situation is the worst because these implements have a legitimately potentially useful role in home defense. The ability of private citizens to effectively disorient or stun home intruders would save lives.
One of my sisters fireman co workers has permanent burn damage from their boss making them try out a flash bang in a closed room and it knocked him out and the room caught on fire. So thankyou for pointing out the fire hazard they pose, not everyone is aware of that danger.

i've been hit by a few flashbangs! i was an actor for some training (i just sat on a bus). i still say the flash is essentially meaningless and has no effect. at least it didn't affect me in any way (not even any afterimage). the sound was extreme though. it felt like getting kicked in the chest. you kind of have to experience one to really know how shocking it is. even knowing it was coming, i was stunned for at least half a second. i wonder if the flashbangs they used for training just don't have a flash to them for safety reasons? one of the flashbang's casing even hit me in the leg which was exciting lol
Those likely weren't real flashbangs and just movie ones. Real ones have a very bright flash to them which will temporarily blind you and will leave your ears ringing. Someone I know was hit by a real flashbang casing during military training and he required stitches.
I"ve got a question about effectiveness & safety: How many PSI are required to disorient someone, and at what level does it stop being "less lethal"? Is there a 'safe range' of over pressure to work in?

Here in downtown Portland, i went to quite a few protests during the black lives matter movement (always tried to leave before they turned into riots) there were a few times we got flashbanged up close, and i collected a few of the reusable canisters

Decibels meters can’t measure sound that moves that fast and quick it’s for consistent audio

The body of the grenade is also rubber, the only metal part is the FOL fuze assembly but that separates before functioning.
