ALWAYS REMEMBER when setting off a RED or ORANGE marking smoke grenades that these are INTERNATIONAL distress signal markers and ANY airplane flying overhead WILL take note of your position and relay that information to someone on the ground and by LAW a ground unit will come to the scene to investigate.

The trick to using flashbangs effectively is to do the operation at night, cut the power, give the enemy a moment for their eyes to adjust to the darkness, and then deploy the flashbangs. The enemy's eyes are dilated in the dark and the blinding effect works better, the noise and the overpressure affects their balance and disorients them further. It can be a game changer, putting you seconds ahead of the enemy and disrupting their OODA loop long enough for you to gain control of the situation and end the confrontation.

First it is re-usable with Blanks or Primers, and has variable power from 100 DB to 130DB's with B12 mini shotgun blanks which is some of the loudest you can get as a Civilian. I think it always comes down to money. How much do they cost vs what you expect from the overall outcome. I agree with you on the 4 banger being better than one from a militaristic point of view. When we’re trained on flag bangs, you normally know what to expect when one is sent in your direction and you know how to react fast, BUT, if you think that one bang is it and you go back to kill position and that one bang turns into several, that would throw you off a little. Good comparison, good job! Charlie Mike!

My younger brother found an M-18 Red military smoke grenade at a junk shop for $3
It was bad ass. I couldn’t believe that he found it at a second hand store and secondly that it was still good.
Don’t think the shop owner realized the potential fire hazard .

International law is clear that no government may legislate against smoke devices of any form. If your government HAS legislated against them I suggest that you contact your lawmakers and make them very aware. Or get arrested and deal with it in court if you have the time and resources and are a bored lawyer, like myself. Our countries constantly try to outlaw life saving devices and it is unacceptable.

Granted, a creative operator could make do with a mortar-style firework aimed through a window, but in case you don't want to risk setting the whole house on fire before you clear it, these are a great option!
