I've said it before and I'll say it again, I want someone to make a Broadway musical of Candyman starring Norm in the title role. He's a very Phantom-esque figure, and Norm's deep, velvety voice would be the perfect musical equivalent to Tony Todd's ICONIC deep speaking voice. Random comment, I know, but that idea popped into my head a few months ago, and I haven't been able to shake it. (Beautiful performance, by the way!)

Mister Norm Lewis gives it a different vibe to the character. I really appreciate a baritone developing the role, which is not very common. I cannot think of another baritone on Broadway playing the role? Besides, I love Norm Lewis voice and charisma on stage, he can do no wrong :) No need of comparison just enjoy what you listen to :)

Obviously, the lower, more powerful ranges like Alfie Boe and Norm Lewis are my favorites, but other than Nick Jonas trying to be Marius, I enjoy most singers. I realize Michael Ball sadly never got to be Jesus in JCSS but damn - what he does with ”Gethsemane” - that I probably misspelled - is amazing. I preferred his version as well as Colm’s to the more rock style. Why we have chocolate and vanilla! (and because my son in law will only EAT the vanilla....)

His bass qualities. He is baritone of course, hence he can do this song. But his BASSS QUALITY! Plus his physical awareness! This is why I put him edge to edge with Quast for Javert. Vocally, the best Phantom I've ever heard. Ramin has better cadence and tonality but man alive Lewis is phenomenal
What a ridiculously great talent. I'm surprised that he can sing like that without getting into it anymore than he does. You can tell he's just enjoying himself up there doing what he does best and whatever other cliches. I get psyched just listening to it. And yeah. One of the biggest voices I've ever heard. Comparable to playing a small Tuba in that range...which is massive coming from a human voice.

If anyone hasn’t, Jonathan Roxmouth does a fantastic phantom as well and dare I say it, gives Ramin and Norm Lewis a run for their money. His robust baritone gave me chills as soon as he opens his mouth and is ideal to what the phantom’s voice should sound like. Angelic and beautiful but with sense of menace as well.
Any other song from POTO I'm willing to be open-minded but you GOTTA have Norm Lewis' baritone for music of the night! THIS is what Erik is supposed to sound like! Rich and hypnotic and seductive and beautiful and sensual!

Maybe my favorite phantom after Michael Crawford. The winners to me can put a sweetness to the lullaby in the soft parts and still nail the higher notes.
Love Norm’s voice, but it drives me nuts that he (and others - but not Ramin!) don’t pronounce the first “t” in “night time”, it’s an instant turn off for me…
You can't compare norm to ramin they are two different voices and sing this both beautifully
Every phantom is unique, you can't compare any one playing the role. Love them all.

I also prefer Norm's performance because his voice is fuller and richer.
bass quality and mixed technique, he used a lot from operatic style and quality, girare sounds, covered chest sounds etc.
I saw him on Broadway with Sierra front row. His voice rocked the Majestic theater.
