Learn about the Leben in Deutschland Test: www.bamf.de/DE...
I do wonder how you can't even reach B1 level after seven years in Germany. It has to do with a lack of integration or living in a bubble where you only communicate in your native language. Language is one of the most important prerequisites for integrating here.
Shut up
This. I mean, getting permanent residence with just an A1 is wild.
How do you live in a country for 7 years with a goal of citizenship without becoming fluent? Were you taking classes?
Yes , volunteering to a large extent in Germany , as the new law suggests if approved , can speed up obtaining citizenship as you have mentioned in the fast track program plus a level of C1 in German language ...
7 years in Germany with a close to b1 level in german ? is it that hard ?
It doesn’t have to be! But in Berlin it’s just easy to get by with English 😊😅
I achieved B1 within 2 years of living in Germany. Wasn’t so difficult and I found the test itself quite easy.

If you are seeking German citizenship, that is certainly not an acceptable attitude! Being able to communicate in German in everyday life is the minimum requirement that should be taken for granted - even in Berlin!
Some European countries are facilitating citizenships requirements in order to boost their economies and innovation ...
Skillful and educated people are welcomed probably ...
The test is dead easy. I took it in 2015, 300 questions maximum that you can study on-line. It costs 25€ at that time and was required back then.
I have read that possession of blue card of the European Union also reduce the time required for a German citizenship and even requires A1 German proficiency level ...If you have sufficient level of command of German , the citizenship acquisition can be shortened from 33 months to 21 months ...
that is the permenant residence acquisition not the citizenship
@@FamousEgyptboy
I know what you meant but this blue card or permanent residence speeds up the process of acquiring citizenship or facilitates acquiring citizenship ...
نعم ، صحيح الكلام ، الاقامة الدائمة شيء مختلف عن الجنسية ولكن الحصول على الاقامة الدائمة يسرع الحصول على الجنسية بالمستقبل ...
@@waelfaraj6705 You are wrong, it doesn't facilitate or speed up anything related to citizenship, it only offers a shortcut to Niederlassungserlaubnis aka permanent resident permit. For citizenship you essentialy have to hold a resident permit that allows naturalisation and of course qualify for either 3 or 5 years requirements.
She is American?
Canadian. So, North American.
can you please link the source of the information?
Thank you for keeping us posted and well informed!
Potentially moving to germany this summer. Do you have any website recommendations for finding properties? I have no idea what is a legit rental website and what is a scam
Also a canadian 😊
Hey! ImmobilienScout is a good place to start 😊 good luck with your move! 🤞🏼😊
Did you got the dual citizenship yourself then ?
Abermals, herzlich willkommen!
Here , in Lebanon, the laws allow double citizenships...
Thanks for the information about needing 5 years of pension contributions. I hadn't seen that information anywhere else. Means I have a few more years to wait as I was a freelancer for the first few years.
Can I get German citizenship in a bechalor programme in 5 years?
So happy about Dual citizenship. Finally!
Me too!
Herzlich willkommen zu sieben Jahre in Germany! Grüße aus Hamburg, Ben❤😂
It used to be required to have a test from an official language source of your language ability. That has changed also? I find that hard to believe.
From what I’ve heard so far, it’s not required but you will be tested on your level during the interview process. I’ll update if this changes 😊
Nice

Yay! TikTok creww
I was waiting for over 10 years
Wow!! 👏🏼👏🏼
In my opinion, the new citizenship has long been overdue. People like you Diana will be an enrichment for our country.
Awe thank you 😊😊🥰🥰
Thank you for the update on the new German citizen laws.
You're cute
I am looking for a serious girl
First of all, I want to say that you look beautiful. I have a question: if you get German citizenship, how are things going with a pension in the future, Canadian and German. Will it be only the minimum pension or something else?😘
Afaik, citizenship is irrelevant for the pension. Social security, including public pension funds, is not directly controlled by the government, only regulated. And as soon as you have a regular employment, you are a member of that system. And you either have paid into social security or you haven't. The only requirement here is a minimum period of membership, I think 2 or 3 years. Below that (whatever the exact number is), you don't qualify for any pension claims.
Private pension schemes aren't touched anyway. And of course, if you fulfill the requirements and move elsewhere later, you still have the right to your pension from the public system. The money will then be transferred to wherever you live (no idea if there are problems with countries under sanctions like NK or Russia). It's just a heck of a bureaucratic act, or so I've heard. ;-)
