Huge Update for the Entire MGS Franchise from MGS 1 Remake, MGS 3 Delta New Features, MGS Movie Update, MGS 4 Coming to PS5 & PS3 Back Compat! It's Insanity! What do you guys think about this Update!?
I’m glad that this ip is finally getting the recognition it deserves. I grew up loving me that tactical espionage action, and David Hayter single handedly made me love voice acting! But on the flipside I’m disgusted with Konami. They threw the series into the trash after doing everything they could to humiliate Hideo Kojima. Konami went to try and do Pachinko of all things and I’m pretty sure they ostracized a lot of fans by letting their IP’s rot. I’m glad they recognized they had the goose with the golden eggs this entire time and a whole new generation might be able to experience MGS! I’ll even reserve all the hate I have for Konami because all the shit they pulled, and just be glad that this is actually happening
I don't understand why people aren't more interested in a remake of the original metal gear from msx? Like, I haven't heard anyone asking for that, and that is exactly what we need!
I think it’s more a perfect time for a remake of those games. And perhaps Konami will feel more confident on taking in something like that if Delta does well. I feel kojima no longer being with Konami helps Konami in that aspect because fans won’t ask why isn’t he involved with it like they did when MG rising was released.

Why would they need Kojima's input if they're not changing anything story wise or adding anything substantial to the game? If they remade the MSX games, I wouldn't trust anyone other than Kojima. Considering how MGSV ended and bridged the gap with those games, more can be added to those stories. Plus a fully realized 3D version of MG and MG2 would need that Kojima cinematic direction.

I'm spanish and i tell you, don't believe half what the spanish videogame sites tell you, most are very sensationalist and just make entire articles from just rumours and speculation for reactions and traffic, and most are extremely biased towards sony (hence their claims for the MGS1 remake being a ps5 exclusive)

When they put mgs5 on xbox360 it was a huge success even if its better looking on ps4. Arguably that games main flaws are no co op for campaign, and not being able to un-equip the main weapon. Probably could have used a basic sword with raiden and have him be able to jump high instead of dive. And idk, tactical throwing knives both lethal and non lethal. Had a lot of fun playing that game, smoking it while scoping out the mission zones before doing stealth. Playing it without that, is honestly way less enjoyable. I feel that way about most games, I'd just chief it up a little while taking a break in skyrim, minecraft, mgs5, red dead redemption, ghost of tsushima.

The first installment of Metal Gear isn’t MGS, it’s Metal Gear on the msx. Which also features Solid Snake so to me it isn’t clear what game that quote is talking about. We already have Twin Snakes so a remake of the first games is way more overdue. And I get its short and unpopular but then just include it in the remake closest chronologically (if they’re going that direction, maybe dlc even).
I think all these remakes are in the pipeline. Remember that MGS3 snake eater is actually the first game in chronological order so next would be peace walker, the it’s mgs5 but I doubt that would get a remake as it’s still a recent game, then it’s the old msx titles which deserve remakes. I think it’s going to be an interesting couple of years ahead of mgs remakes

No way the game would be PS5 only. Dude was clearly referring to it being a "current-gen only" release. Meaning it won't be on systems like PS4, XBOne, or Switch, but will be on PC, XBX, possibly Switch successor.
Imagine a MGS1 Remake themed PS6. It would probably look incredible and would be the perfect debut of the new hardware and show what the theatrical inspiration and direction of the game, cutscenes, and sound design would be like on the hardware that could deliver that fidelity

I hope you all realize that because this will be an Unreal Engine 5 game, there's a very high chance that it will work with PrayDog's Universal Unreal Engine VR mod.
They should just grab a director who is a fan of the games and let him run wild with his vision on the adaptations, not necessarily worrying about being faithful to the games but actually good. The more faithful way to adapt MGS is to create it with artistic intention and passion. I don't want a visual translation of the story i already played.
While remakes of the easily accessible games would be great, I REALLY want to see the MSX game be brought back to life in some kind of form (remake or modern rerelease). That would be beyond awesome.

MGS3 had so many mechanics and I didn't use any of them. Besides food, you could basically ignore everything else and never see any blood or care about camo.

It has always been a dumb move for ANY and ALL Developers to make Console/PC exclusives. Most people wouldn't buy a console or PC for a single game. Make the game for all Consoles, and PC and get the most money out of it.

It has always been a dumb move for ANY and ALL Developers to make Console/PC exclusives. Most people wouldn't buy a console or PC for a single game. Make the game for all Consoles, and PC and get the most money out of it.
Assuming this is true, Konami will ruin them. They see people playing old games instead so do remakes then butcher the games to modernize them not realizing the charm of the old games to begin with. If it wasn’t for nostalgia buys these big legacy studios would have nothing to profit off of.

We should have metal gear solid 4 guns of the Patriots on Xbox it's not like it can't handle it now I know it was a problem on 360 but now we have better consoles and they have every other metal gear solid game on there it's stupid not to have the fourth one that's like watching fast and the furious and then skip a movie in the middle somewhere and you don't know what the hell
