Hang on us Brits had done this (laying the matting ) back in the 70’s for the Harrier force. The Royal Engineers used PSP (Pressed Steal Plate) already linked together in a roll place on the back of a 4 ton lorry with a guide at the front which was fitted just before laying the PSP roadway down to act as a runway for the Harrier to take off from. They fitted the guide then positioned the lorry at the start of where the runway should go and swivelled the roll round, they would then pull and unroll the PSP over the guide to under the front wheels. When everything was checked the driver would then have to accelerate to optimal speed and unroll the PSP along the designated track and stop as soon as the unroll had completed. The RE’s would then move in with the steel pins to lock and anchor runway in place. The next iteration was replacing PSP with PAP (Pressed Aluminium Plate) for a lighter more stiff runway. The German Bunderswier obviously came along and carried on to the next iteration for general heavy vehicle use and remounting the roadway on the lorry in a different way. Brilliant but not the first.

"It's 100x quieter than a helicopter and the military can't wait to get their hands on them. Because they have huge potential for missions involving medical evacuation, fire fighting, disaster response and humanitarian relief operations." Yeah, right. Those are the things the military is thinking when they see a quiet aircraft.
When heard that statement I was shocked that that supposed "flying car" could be actually called a flying car when the flying car looks more like a helicopter than a car. I honestly do not know people think we have invented the flying car when there hasn't been anything invented that looks like a car but can be used for flight. Every supposed flying car that has been invented also doesn't drive on roads. A car is made to drive on roads otherwise the car would be called a helicopter or a plane. If there was a flying car invented then that flying car could not only be driven on land but the flying car could also be used like an airplane. In the tv show the Jetsons, the vehicle that the Jetsons used was more like a type of aircraft then a flying car.
The item about the none pneumatic tyre was brilliant, I am actually very surprised that this type of tyre or wheel has not got much further than this. I would imagine that the tyre companies are very much against it BUT possibly could get aboard if development continues as the amount of used tyres in the world now is unbelievable, and something that could totally beat punctures would be a world beater even with run flats currently used. Good documentary. Thanks for this.
Two issues remain ... they're noisy, particularly at speed, and while they deal with damage up to a point, they do fail if that point is exceeded, usually taking the wheel, if not the running gear with them.
Have we developed antigravity, @@paulosbornept7523 ? Repulser lift field-effect drive? No? Then we keep working on tires. The machines still need to move, and while the wheel is old tech ... it's STILL the best we've got. And until someone comes up with unstable-molecule pseudo-polymer semi-fluid solid tires, getting a flat is going to be an issue unless we don't NEED to keep the damned things full of something.
@@miketheskepticalone6285 I wasn't clear, keep developing the technology, several labs are working on this, maybe another one will have better luck., I've seen these on tractors and some heavy equipment. The military is not too concerned about comfort, apparently durability is still an issue.
12:26 The Phasr was stopped at the Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate and never fielded, instead opting for the Meyers mil-exempt "Glare LA-9/P" non-lethal visual disruptor. Built from the same research, a commercial compact police and security visual disruptor from Civilian Warfighter called the "Cerberus" is now available as well.
It might not be so long till we see most of the military comprised of robots and driverless vehicles. This is both good and bad for the future. On the one hand its good not needing to send so many soldiers to die but on the other hand the lack of risk in human lives will make countries more willing to wage war.
Didn’t terminator start under this premise? Also have you seen the “robot dogs” now being deployed to search people and vaccine compliance? Much scarier than war.
I draw futuristic vehicles most with intimidating names however the giant hovercraft reminded me of a vehicle I created very recently know as the Aquatic Reptile. A large, mobile base that can travel on water and ground also while holding up to 10,000 personnel and over 500 super heavy armoured vehicles at a substantial speed for its weight. It was also loaded to the brim with other tech some of which real, some of which not such as Infrared, large auto cannons and 100 mm turrets, sonar systems, vehicle bays, emergency abandonment vehicles such as land, water and air vehicles and a large quantity of other tech I can’t be bothered to mention. Vehicle was originally built for a friend and for a small book project I’m working on called HELL FIRE.
@@brentstephens4081 not really. More a giant ship about the size of New York with caterpillar tracks on it. It’s not my only one either. I have other drawing of stuff like that I’ve came up with over the years.

An automated helicopter. The U.S. Navy experimented with the concept in the 1960s. On its first test flight it performed almost flawlessly, except that when the controller ordered it to return it flew out to sea and headed for the horizon, and was never seen again.
There's another mine clearing vehicle it uses chains that rapidly spin around to trigger mines it's also pretty good for demolition given the weight of the chains and how fast they're spinning they can take down buildings and pretty fast
That sounds like a "flail tank" from WW2, with a rotating horizonal shaft having four sets six chains, with 9# weights. These would beat the ground, tear out barbed wire, and detonate landmines. They have remote controlled bulldozers so equipped for the same purpose in former war zones, to save civilians from leftover land mines. (This, among other innovations, was invented by a British combat engineer named Percy Hobart, and was effective for UK troops at Normandy---The US generals thought it a joke, labeling one of "Percy's Funnies").
That game conflict of nations. Jus like an old PC game I used to play as a kid. I had my grandma build me a beast tower for like 1800 bucks just to play it and I tell ya I've played a lot of games but I'll still choose my child hood game over any other ever made. Command and conquer red alert revolutions. And generals zero hour. Them games just like the one u explaining. But way more intense with way more options. Took me almost my whole child hood just to be able to get good at it. Esp online play against others that are stupid good. Witch wasn't much. There be times I'd wait for days until the server found some kid on the other side of the world to play ya. Then the battles would last hrs days sometime weeks. Unbelievable experience. This makes me wanna hunt the C&C games down again. Their so rare I'd be afraid to touch it if I ever got my hands on another C&C cd
The blacked out windshield of the helicopter remind me of another video I saw where the Air Force had developed technology in the helmets of the pilot where they can actually like look down and instead of seeing the floor of the cockpit they can see the ground below the aircraft I thought that was pretty awesome little bit scary I thing id feel more like like Wonder woman flying her invisible jet but still awesome technology
You forgot Odin (orbital defence initiative) the space weapon in earth’s orbit that drops tungsten rods the size of telephone poles and with the help of gravity, can make contact with the earth making the devastation equivalent of a nuclear bomb
1- that's a plot device from a GIJoe movie. 2- It's against international treaty to install weapons of mass destruction in space. 3- Conventional weapons are exponentially easier to deploy and far more accurate with targeting.
The "REX SPECS" could also in theory be used on Troops for Real time Combat Display to Command. Imagine being able to have on the ground Vision from the eyes of the Commander of each Unit. All they have to do is REMOVE the Little ears on the mask, and its fine... Even leave the Collar battery pack because it would REDUCE neck wounds for the Commanders as well.
The tank bot? Nah... we turned it into a protected wetlands vehicle.... just a much smaller version. Allows us to cut out pathways through cat-tail swamps, etc. 4 of them. Also, they make "infrastructure" so to speak, for airboats
The ghost tank and the organic resupply bus by far the most amazing technologies ever 😮👍 but the organic resupply bus will be very helpful for people soldiers and injured soldiers too 👍
Honestly I love watching these videos and all your content in general but I know a few of the things you have mentioned are already in military use and some are even publicly available like airless tires (mainly used on construction vehicles)
Almost everything in the video is 10 to 60 years old and most are obsolete and failed. Right now L3 Harris is top dog in electro optics future development. Shooting around corners will be done with L3s new optic that links with the new ENVG (enhanced night vision goggle) those 60 degree corner guns failed and never saw the hands of operators. They were canned in the prototype phase just like magpuls briefcase sub gun.
Wow that boat-tank landing craft thing is straight from Command and Conquer. Makes sense, its a good idea to have a marine landing craft that can drive up on land.
Quick note. Faltstraßengerät (sounds like Falt Strassen Gerate) no “b” sound in there. That B shaped letter is called a “scharfes es” or “buckel es” or “Eszett” depending on where you’re from and has the same sound as a double s in English and other languages.
UN Press release: "You are not allowed to use lasers to blind people on the battlefield. We would prefer you continue to use guns, bombs, knives, bare hands, spoons, blunt objects, genetic manipulation, and chemical agents, or whatever else you find laying around"
~5:30 in the video there's an entire cartridge fly through the air like a bullet. I've seen the same thing in a graphic novel and lots of other places. Most movies and TV shows aren't as bad about it as UA-cam. Also, the cross between a tire and wheel is called a Tweel. Michelin was experimenting with it 20 years ago and other companies have made their own designs since then.
Reminds me of the All-laser Projectile-based Weapons to the Ever-growing All-Spikeyvincible Collection, for hack and slash! I'll add that to my list! 😉😉😉😉
The Tweel has been sold and used for a while now. I'm not sure what the main hold up in popularity is. It's still being developed just like every other tire made is in constant development. I suspect looks and the manufacturers and shops would rather we keep the more consumable tires.
21:33 For your info only: The depicted "Faltstraßengerät" (Folding street device) is pronounced like the word you can play when you type "faltshtruhsenkerate" in the google translator. (The "ß" is a sharp s).

Especially useful is the silence in fire fighting. Finally you can hear the trees cracking from the fire even inside!
What they really think is : "OH BOY, FUN NEW STEALTH BOMBER MAKD COUNTRY GO BOOOOOOOOMMM"
O ya i know exactly. Jean great minds think alike especially when they turned the red cross to a green cross....
Man, few years from now FPS games will look like Sci-fi
Just think...these are just what we know about, I'll bet some truly mind blowing tech is a secret.
Those look insanely brilliant and deadly😯
You can create weapons that will tear them to shreds but don't you dare try to blind them.
They exist, you can even buy them now, but apparently they are not very comfortable to drive with.
Two issues remain ... they're noisy, particularly at speed, and while they deal with damage up to a point, they do fail if that point is exceeded, usually taking the wheel, if not the running gear with them.
18 million grant and 10 years development. Time to move on.
Built from the same research, a commercial compact police and security visual disruptor from Civilian Warfighter called the "Cerberus" is now available as well.
what happens if the crim is wearing sunglasses ?
Wall mirrors could be a problem
21:35 the ß isn't a B. It's a sharp S sound.
Just like Ä ≠ A, Ö ≠ O and Ü ≠ U it's one of the four special characters in German
Well that is some really good stuff , thanks and really good job and video.
The goal of war is to force enemy to negotiate peace on your terms.
mayonnaise on an escalator it's going upstairs so see you later
flyin high up in the sky
Wha
These weapons are pretty good but who remembers the pure terror of the AS7-D Atlas?
I believe that in a few years, the exoskeleton suit that was once used for doing mundane task well eventually become a new armor suit
man i think the fire scout is what the personal radar in modern warfare is based on
You can't ban the cat when the cat is already out of the bag
I'm the only one who got confused at "tireless tyres"? Shouldn't it be "Airless tyres"? xD
Thanks!
In German, the ß (Eszett) is used in place of the double S. So at 21:31 it would be something like Faltstrassengerät instead of FaltstraBengerät.
The Swedish CV90120 happens to bare the name of it's Ikea product code. It's been designed to be built by two people and an Allen key.
90210 the area code for beaverly hills. Or is it 90120 ???
@@peterparker9286 Tori Spelling, or Jennie Garth may be able to answer that.
The Dog google is awsome. It makes the dog look a lot cooler. Should make one for the cat too.
Just so you know, the ‘b’ in faltstrabengerat is actually a double ‘s’ in German
ẞ - called the "ess-zed" (close enough) iirc. Google keyboard is really good for accented and unusual letters (and this was from the English one).
I'm pretty sure Schutzstaffel doesn't have a 'b' in it.
I learned it was a double s sound when looking up how to spell "Sheiẞe".

Good thing we're in the US
I draw futuristic vehicles most with intimidating names however the giant hovercraft reminded me of a vehicle I created very recently know as the Aquatic Reptile.
So a hovercraft aircraft carrier?
@@brentstephens4081 not really. More a giant ship about the size of New York with caterpillar tracks on it. It’s not my only one either. I have other drawing of stuff like that I’ve came up with over the years.
Sounds good mate
@@brentstephens4081 I try to make them as overpowered as possible without making them incredibly stupid or a pain to draw.
Yes I draw all the vehicle I create
Technology is so freaking cool!
Those tires were designed to get through Baltimore.
Baltimore city should be eliminated
An automated helicopter. The U.S. Navy experimented with the concept in the 1960s. On its first test flight it performed almost flawlessly, except that when the controller ordered it to return it flew out to sea and headed for the horizon, and was never seen again.
That was a LAMPS helo.
It got hijacked by UFO of US.
@@tr1bes Lol most likely said f this im not returning it SPONTANEOUSLY Grew Con science and mc flew it.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE INVISIBILITY CLOAKS AND THE TANKS THAT HAVE THE INVISIBILITY CLOAKING TECHNOLOGY??I SEEN THAT TECHNOLOGY OVER 4YEARS AGO.
Love it
THE FIRST ONE MIGHT BE THE WORLDS FRIST RAIL GUN
BAE Systems developed rail guns 10 years ago.
9:26 that truck/ car is awesome
The “ß” is actually pronounced as “ss”. Take note.
I learned from this video that, Octagons truly are the bestagons
You forgot Odin (orbital defence initiative) the space weapon in earth’s orbit that drops tungsten rods the size of telephone poles and with the help of gravity, can make contact with the earth making the devastation equivalent of a nuclear bomb
Rods from the gods. 12 in a pack Tungsten 20 foot. Dont know diameter they are Nu clear i do believe.
1- that's a plot device from a GIJoe movie. 2- It's against international treaty to install weapons of mass destruction in space. 3- Conventional weapons are exponentially easier to deploy and far more accurate with targeting.
@@Astraeus.. call of duty ghost has it and it’s called Odin, gi has it the same year too so idk
The ghost tank and the organic resupply bus by far the most amazing technologies ever 😮👍 but the organic resupply bus will be very helpful for people soldiers and injured soldiers too 👍
this is very impressive but very scary if this are used in an actual war.
Very good!
I want tireless tires to be used by ordinary people.
All the technology is crazy.
Honestly I love watching these videos and all your content in general but I know a few of the things you have mentioned are already in military use and some are even publicly available like airless tires (mainly used on construction vehicles)
considering the Corp is thinking about phasing out tanks, I think that floating prototype might hit the chopping block
The best military equipment is Russia's nukular misle which can fly in space and then back do ehrt directly at the target
The most dangerous weapon in the world is a marine and his rifle... Full Metal Jacket
Just use *Nukes* that simple but you gotta think about the consequences or else *WW3* 😳
This is the best narrator
Almost everything in the video is 10 to 60 years old and most are obsolete and failed. Right now L3 Harris is top dog in electro optics future development. Shooting around corners will be done with L3s new optic that links with the new ENVG (enhanced night vision goggle) those 60 degree corner guns failed and never saw the hands of operators. They were canned in the prototype phase just like magpuls briefcase sub gun.
I work on equipment and we’ve had airless tires for decades on reach forks and man lifts, booms they are just expensive. No one overseas invented them.
Absolutely agree,iron dome is awesome
Wow that boat-tank landing craft thing is straight from Command and Conquer.
Makes sense, its a good idea to have a marine landing craft that can drive up on land.
We used the DUKW in WW2 and later. This one looks faster, but is it in production yet?
@@robertbrowning7556 its probably a concept up for review. I havent watched the vid in a month, I forgot which country even has it lol.

Screw the UN
THIS IS COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
All of them are amazing 😮😮😮
I'm quite convinced that military technology is much, much further ahead than that, but certainly, don't tell anyone about it
~5:30 in the video there's an entire cartridge fly through the air like a bullet. I've seen the same thing in a graphic novel and lots of other places. Most movies and TV shows aren't as bad about it as UA-cam. Also, the cross between a tire and wheel is called a Tweel. Michelin was experimenting with it 20 years ago and other companies have made their own designs since then.
Imagine being in combat and hearing “THEY HAVE AIMBOT GET DOWN!”
*All these Military Acronyms crack me up!😅🤣😂*
Reminds me of the All-laser Projectile-based Weapons to the Ever-growing All-Spikeyvincible Collection, for hack and slash! I'll add that to my list! 😉😉😉😉
The dog mask is so adorable! Lol
The Tweel has been sold and used for a while now. I'm not sure what the main hold up in popularity is. It's still being developed just like every other tire made is in constant development. I suspect looks and the manufacturers and shops would rather we keep the more consumable tires.
This video is going to be absolutely hysterical in about 50 years. 😆
21:33 For your info only: The depicted "Faltstraßengerät" (Folding street device) is pronounced like the word you can play when you type "faltshtruhsenkerate" in the google translator. (The "ß" is a sharp s).
