- Dye Pro Carpet Dyeing & Restoration performed a whole room carpet dye in several rooms of this home in Richmond, VA. These homeowners wanted to go from a light beige to a gray color. They had just bought the house and the carpet was in great condition, but they weren't happy with the color. This was a much more cost effective option than replacing all the carpet. Baking soda & water paste on red wine for 24 hours then 50/50 water & vinegar with ice cubes and pour on spot. It will foam up. Blot with rag and stain is totally gone!

I don't think it will stick, it's water mixed with dye and can be wiped off.

it appears to be a sandia portable carpet extractor. I don't know if its exactly safe to be running dye directly out of the solution tank through the pump and heater but i believe there are separate dye tanks that add the dye to the water after it leaves the machine

No you can’t.
Is the dye bad for the wood?
Absolutely, you always want to tape off (mask off the baseboard) the baseboard.
This is a 5 year old video. Are you still in business? Do you have a team in So. Cal? I have a motorhome with blue carpet but i would like to dye it gray. Is this a job you can do?

You hit it with a brush etc. to spread the fibres and the dye further down into the carpet layers, essentially just hitting it all with a big tooth brush.
