Funny part being cooked moray is perfectly safe. The Japanese think being nearly suicidal and eating risky/extremely spicy things makes them manly. It's kind of sad...

This dude is awesome! Love his honest, quick responses to the fish/animals he processes and eat. Great tenacity as well, some of these critters look difficult to filet.

have watched like 5 videos, but Masaru always stick to his favourite dishes: 1) Sashimi and 2) fried items
Yeah because it’s more about the animal and learning about their structure and anatomy and biology, than it is about the cooking. It’s not a cooking show really!
sashimi to really get the natural taste and frying because frying seafood usually comes out good.

When Masaru said he wanted to try big lizard (like komodo dragon), actually there is one big lizard you can try to eat; The monitor lizard. It kinda look like komodo dragon and it tastes like chicken meat.
Sounds delicious
It is an exotic delicacy in the Philippines. It tastes like chicken, the folks who eat it says.
It can be a good substitute from komodo dragon since komodo is a protected animal and can't be eaten
komodo dragons are actually the worlds largest monitor lizards

I watched in horror and fascination. How disappointing to pit in so much effort and for it to not taste very good. It did indeed look like chicken in some spots! Your videos are always so fascinating to watch. So intriguing!

ウツボの皮の臭みは夏場にピークになるようです。同じ魚種でも冬場なら違ってくるかも
I love prepping a fish, but I feel when he says its already dull. A knife can never stay sharp long enough!
To check your oil heat, get a wooden spoon or a chopstick and dip the tip (for chopsticks don't dip the painted side but the plain wood side) (for the wooden spoon use the tip of the handle) into the oil. If it starts to bubble a lot, then your oil is ready to fry ☺️✌🏽💕
