I lived in Okinawa as a child - I wish that we had gotten to spend more time there, but my dad was military and we got shipped back stateside after Okinawa was given back to Japan around 1972 - I get to brush up on my Japanese with the Close Captions, and the videos are always outstanding. Not many Japanese around here to practice the language with so I have forgotten most of it - we get A LOT of Filipino, Korean, and some Chinese, but I have never met any Japanese here.... @@thefolder3086 basically any meat you eat is ‘poison’. Most of the ‘poison’ he talks about is the same ‘poison’ you’ll find in tuna which is bigger than most of the big fish he eats. You’re more likely to be poisoned by an iceberg lettuce

Watching this when I'm recovering from tooth surgery is always the best. Honestly, it inspires me to open my tastes up more! I feel so picky, but the way you hype these dishes up makes me curious about trying fish.
Same for me, just had 4 wisdoms pulled and mouth surgery so I can't eat more then jello and yogurt, makes me want real food so much, especially with the struggle of eating anything because of the pain and blood

I really enjoy your videos. I can fillet ordinary fish like schnapper , but some of the creatures do attempt - and succeed at are fascinating. I also appreciate that you eat what you catch. ドクウツボ の様な大型のウツボは居ませんが、歩留まりも良いし美味しいし食材としては優秀ですよね!
