Happy birthday Masaru-san! Thank you for sharing these fish, it's amazing how some don't even have common names, and even someone as studied and experienced as you are don't know what some fish are! Like you said, you're specialization is spear-fishing and thus fish nearer the surface. I love deep-sea fish and think they're beautiful. When I see them like this, even though I know they're still fresh by way of freezing, I'm reminded of how different and lively they are in the rare times we get ROV-camera footage from the deep sea and how awesome and ephemeral they are in life. Edit: I wonder if that little starfish lived in the star gazer's mouth? Could that be possible? And I'm so curious about the parasites. There seem to be a lot of fish and other sea creatures that are communities onto themselves where the parasites aren't too harmful to them, the specialization is so incredible!
Two videos in two days?! I'm super happy. Also, Masaru is super brave for eating things most people would just consider garbage (stomach fish?!) - just goes to show anything can be "shokuzai" if you're brave enough
His sense of humor is just so much better than any American fisherman I’ve watched. Plus he has a nice voice and the way you can hear his accent really strongly sometimes makes me giggle. I think there’s a lot more overseas viewers than you’d assume, since there’s so many different languages of subtitles on all his videos :)

私も前に、なんかの魚から小魚が綺麗な状態で出てきたのを焼いて食べてみたら、普通に焼き魚の味がして美味しかった！
メンダコ、塩で洗うとダメ
大根おろしで洗うと良いです。
しっかりと下処理出来るから美味しいんだなあて思った。緻密さとワイルドさのバランスがマサルさんの魅力。
唐揚げも、あえて市販の味付き粉とか使わずに作るとことか好き。
