Seeing TOY STORY and DEXTER'S LAB here is like looking at my myself
Sorry I couldn't join you during the stream. But let me just say that I am a big fan of your videos. I know it sounds funny coming from an American, but I'm just a huge fan of UK PIFs. And, you've got a great taste in film and animation!
Thanks! My tastes are kind of all over the place, to be honest, but that probably comes across in the video.
SIMPSONS nostalgia. First one I ever owned was "Heaven & Hell". I remember my mother was a tad nervous getting it for me due to some of the content despite the PG but she and my father relaxed and let me own it on VHS back in 1998, 1999. Makes me very nostalgic. "Bart Sells His Soul" was the first episode I ever saw from SIMPSONS but I'd find it hard to revisit it as I'll start crying. A PG cert classic!
A lot of those films you have there have been bought from me, nice to see you're happy with them.
Simply amazing! ❤
For the first time ever, I finally get to hear you speak on camera (which I can’t say we see very often).
-
Personally, I don’t have the confidence to just say something on video and just stutter my words as I go along. I needed a script to remember what I’m going to say on camera.
-
I’m forever grateful that you get to share an overview of your collection of VHS tapes and explain in almost full detail. That’s why I’m always been subscribed to your channel for future content on UA-cam!
-
Please keep up the excellent work and thanks for making THAT happen!
-
By the way, you’re voice is by no means stupid according to what you think. That makes me feel absolutely comfortable and I always loved seeing people like you pushing through… I’ve yet to overcome my weakness!
Thanks! I do tend to mumble and ramble, but I might as well embrace it by this point and at least I was able to make it entertaining enough for you.
After watching the pif top 10's couldn't help but smile seeing the robot wars tapes
Great collection!
Yep, that's not even all the Robot Wars stuff, but maybe I'll save that for another day!
I was one of the few British people who owned DEXTER'S LAB: EGO TRIP on VHS too. Had to sell it back in 2007 because I was moving and needed money. 😔 😢
IRON GIANT I was one of the few people who saw it in cinemas during Kids Club. Powerful title, surprisingly political.
I remember CRAMP TWINS very well. It's an outrageous, mean spirited kids cartoon that I was oddly enough banned from watching for a few months.
I loved the Lion King 1&1/2.
It’s kind of insane how many Blue's Clues international hosts there were. There were American, British, Portuguese and South Korean hosts, most other countries just dubbed the US Blue's Clues. Hell, Blue's Clues And You's newest host is a Filipino from the UAE. Cramp Twins did air in the US on Fox Kids
I'm sure Blue's Clues was so popular all over the place, a lot of countries decided to produce their own versions. A British version wasn't even necessary, honestly, given how much American content they show on TV here anyway, but for some reason they went ahead and did it.
This made me very happy seeing this. Reminiscent of my childhood. I wish I did own SOUTH PARK on VHS but it was a 15 and back in the early 2000s that wasn't possible.
My favourite Pixar film remains TOY STORY and animated Disney is HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME. The fact you have quite a few DEXTER'S LAB tapes makes me very happy. I'm one of the few British fans of the show.
Any chance you're a fan of Alan Partridge, Chris Morris, or anime released by ADV or MVM by chance?
I also really like the cramp twins
It actually used to play on Cartoon Network and the fox box in america
I actually used to watch the fox box back then but I’m more of a kids wb person
Ah, so it was on CN over there, then. We didn't get the Fox Box here, so Cramp Twins was on CBBC after school instead.
Amazing
SMALL SOLDIERS is one of the greatest movies ever made. An edgy PG cert classic!
Thats a really awesome ed edd and eddy mug
Ed edd and eddy is my favorite cartoon network cartoon
Best cartoon for me, hands down. :)
As an American viewer yes this did airs in the states on the fox box (later renamed 4kids!)
It also did air on Cartoon Network USA for a short while 2004/2005?
(Edit) the cramp twins!
Cartoon Network came out in 1994 in the UK
Coincidentally, the American cartoons were more interesting than the British ones which I regret.
i love looney tunes i collect the vih taps of the looney tunes
Is there any chance you could show all your recordable tapes off detailing what's on each tape?
Yep - I have posted some of the stuff from those tapes, and some of them don't have labels or anything, but they're probably worth giving a look through.
@BacktothePast It's just trying to remember what's on each tape from start to finish. Which is why I use brand new labels when I buy tapes.
Music with Balls I'd listen to. Chemical Bros, Underworld, that's my shit.
Actually the rarest tape I ever had when I was young was The Incredibles before it got stolen by one of my family members. By the way I had it when it came out.
I do have The Incredibles, actually. A shame someone had to steal it from you!
@@BacktothePast yeah I was angry because it was my one of my favourite video of all time and the thing was that the day when it got stolen I just finished watching the tape then when it automatically came out of my tv built in vcr the person took it.
I'm surprised you're a fan of FALLING DOWN. So am I. It was a gateway vigilante / revenge / I hate society film before people started platforming JOKER as that title.
Are you a fan of Fireman Sam?
