@@TerminatorTheory Operation: Skyfire wasn’t even released or made beyond concepts, and besides the Bayverse ended with The Last Knight, so they probably won’t do concept series characters for those how appeared in scrapped movies
My head canon to why he looks like Nitro/KSI boss Thundercracker was engaging the Autobots that being Ratchet, Dino (Mirage), Bumblebee, and Sideswipe He was pushing them back superior strength and firepower while laughing like a psycho then Optimus Prime jumped Thundercracker Thundercracker fought him off for a short period before being eviscerated and decapitated by Optimus Prime. Thundercracker's corpse was then discovered by KSI, and their KSI boss was then modeled after Thundercracker. Nitro Zeus, I believe, is a surviving KSI boss, I think Theorymus made something about this some time ago
Great video! You’re probably right about Thundercracker being a special exclusive figure. The only thing that really confuses me about him is why use Nitro Zeus’ design? Why not just do what the movie toyline did and just give Starscream a Thundercracker paintjob? The only reason I can think of is that Studio Series Starscream wasn’t out yet so they didn’t have the mold. But if that’s the case why not just push the figure back? Such an odd figure
i much rather the SS nitro zeus design. im a fan of dorito starscream but i don't think it would work for thundercracker he'd look really ugly, like that DOTM starscream repaint...
@@maninaspacesuit well he di have 2011 figure which was just starscream repaint so i think they just said maybe we can get thundercracker in this movie and he was scraped very early on so he didnt even had concept and that is why his 2011 figure looks like starscream and the SS they probably wanted somethink else and they used nitros figure for him but that is just my theory
No, in reality with the 2011 one the thinking most definitely was "oh, the seekers in G1 all have the same designs, so let's just repaint Screamer's toys blue and call it Thundercracker"
I wonder if they'll ever do something like this again for the Studio Series - make up a new design for a non-film character based on how they could've looked in Bayformers. Y'know, characters like Ultra Magnus, Prowl, Cyclonus, Perceptor or Blurr, who never showed up in the films.
The most likely explanation I have heard is that SS DotM Thundercracker was leftover from the cancelled TLK Mission to Cybertron line that they put into Studio Series as a Toys R Us exclusive very early on. HOWEVER this brings up a larger implication: they were planning on releasing Starscream-esque head tooling on Nitro Zeus’ body? You mean like how Starscream’s head appeared in TLK and Nitro Zeus’ body was supposed to be utilized by Headmaster Cogman? Here’s my crackpot theory as to what that release would’ve meant: Since the Mission to Cybertron line was full of ballsy and weird repaints, I think the plan for them was to do a TLK reformatted Starscream, either in the Thundercracker colors to reference his Armada Supermode or just as a grey jet to keep continuity with their film appearances.
My Theory is that Thunderkracker was in dark of the moon, but after the war he was killed by KSI and they used his body as inspiration for their KSI Boss. This means that the seeker trio are theoretically in the bayverse, and more specifically in dark of the moon! We have starscream, thundercracker, and skywarp since we saw him in the Transformers Arcade game. Great video as always ❤
Thundercracker plays a huge role for the tie-in movie comics along with Skywarp which he appears in the Transformers Dark of the Moon arcade game which he’s a boss character he is identical to Starscream because he and Thundercracker are Seekers and have identical color schemes but Skywarp has a different head.
I got a DOTM Thundercracker figure when I was a kid because he looked so damn awesome on the box. Never was a fan of the movie myself, but that figure was definitely worth a buy in the end
Good morning everyone. And the fact is that neither thundercracker or skywarp was in the bayverse means that either it was expensive to use another Starscream CGI model, they couldn't find a voice actor for both,or they just didn't want them.
I believe Studio Series Thundercracker was originally meant to be a ToysRUs exclusive as part of the TLK toyline. However, since TLK's toy sales weren't great, they shoved it into Studio Series, and since ToysRUs went broke, they made it an online shared exclusive.
Honestly, i think its just a random repaint. The reason it was tied to Dark of the Moon was that was the last time Thundercracker had a toy, or likely the first year had very few bots tied to DOTM. Good point on the innaccuracies in exclusives

I never got him but I also remember never seeing him in the movie despite the toy box clearly saying "Transformers Dark of the Moon" (I rewatched it many many times on my old laptop at the time). My head cannon even after all these years is just that he was probably part of the story/fight but never made it into any of the movie scenes kinda like Skids and Mudflap.
I wouldn't have mind back then that Hasbro broke the screen accurately rule to give us a DOTM Thundercracker using the Decepticon Nitro mold from TLK for Studio Series. Be exclusive still sure, but either sold in a 2-pack with Thundercracker or separate during this exclusivity run of Studio Series figures. Heck, I wish that Hasbro repainted the SS06 Starscream into Thundercracker and Skywarp instead, to even the seeker trio as the traditional identical seekers.
My personal head canon has Thundercracker briefly being in Chicago before doing his Decepticon thing in another country. Plus, for my head canon, Thundercracker was first to use this body type which would become an inspiration for KSI Boss & Nitro Zeus later.
I think we should all collectively agree that Thundercracker was one of the fighter pilots flying below N.E.S.T. in the scene where they were approaching Chicago.
Y'know, Theorymus, I was thinking the same thing you said on the video the moment his toy was relesead 6 years ago. In fact, one of the details that made me think on that is how Thundercracker's body isn't similar to Starscream's. This is incorrect because all the Seekers MUST share the same body-type as Starscream: not only is it an important rule of the Decepticon hierachy, but also a canon event. Great video as always, my friend!
Thundercracker would appear in the R rated cut of my version of Dark of The Moon directed by Christopher Nolan and in his appearance, he ambushed Optimus and Sentinel as they head back to N.E.S.T. headquarters after Sentinel's tour of Earth and Thundercracker outmaneuvered Sentinel and before he could attack Sentinel Prime further, he would go up against Optimus and there, the two brawl until Optimus wounds him. Before Thundercracker could tell Optimus who ordered the attack, he is killed when he gets shot in the head by Sentinel before he could reveal who order this attack. According to Christopher Nolan, during a 2012 interview of the R rated cut release of Christopher Nolan's Transformers Dark of The Moon, he reveals that it was Sentinel Prime who ordered the attack as it was done so Thundercracker could kill Optimus Prime and the reason Sentinel shot him is so that he can hide his involvement with the Decepticons and not let Thundercracker expose him. Thundercracker did not appear in the theatrical cut of Christopher Nolan's Transformers Dark of The Moon due to time constraints. Thundercracke's design would the same design depicted in his studio series figure and he would be voiced by John DiMaggio.
here's my theory. Thundercracker had the body of KSI Boss because it had so many weapons and would transform into a fighter jet, just like other Thundercrackers in other TF media. And Thundercracker die due to a missile destroying his head or being shot in the head by an autobot, but his body was still in one piece. And then his body would be taken to youtuber KSI who would approve of the body being reused and repurpose into their own KSI drone. and thus KSI boss was born. In fact I bought Thundercracker and bought another KSI boss to turn it into Skywarp
In the Transformers movie toylines, there were toys based on classic characters that didn't appear in the movies. In the 2007 toyline, Thundercracker was one the figures in that line. The figure was a recolor of Starscream. Not surprising since in all transformers media the characters have the same type of body. These characters that didn't appear in the movies appeared in the tie-in novels and comics to the movies. Like, for example, Thundercracker appeared in some of the tie-in comics to the 2007 movie.
I was disappointed that Thundercracker and Skywarp didn't appear on screen because I wanted to see how they would've portrayed them on screen but at the same time im glad cause they probably would've hardly done anything or have lack of screen time. At least we get to see the duo in the TF alliance game. IDK why they're claiming he was in the film when he wasn't. Even as a concept art they should've said that to not confuse fans
I have A theory that Thundercracker was one of the Desepticons that was on the moon that then want through the space bridge, and scanned A fighter jet and made his way to Chicago, and after the battle was down he went into hiding like the other surviving Desepticons were he would eventually be captured be the T.R.F.
Love 💗 the video as always and I know that the real reason for why they had Thundercracker (With Nitro model) is because they wanted a exclusive toy but as the in universe reason why many he was in Chicago and were either killed by an autobot (by say Optimus Prime) or by cemetery winds later down the line. After all, if we saw a subway train 🚇 still working during the Chicago invasion (of which you theorized it could be Astrotrain), who to say that he wouldn’t appear
Technically, Scourge from Rise Of The Beast was the first concept art Studi Series figure released since his robot mode was actually from the last concept art before his final design in the movie.
I have some possible theories and replies to your suggestions: One- The Battle of Endor. In Return of the Jedi, we see the Battle of Endor, where the rebellion fights the empire. Yet we do not see every character or fight in that because that’s not the focus of the film. In Star Wars Rebels we are introduced to Hera Syndulla, who rises the ranks of the rebellion and is later said to be fighting Endor yet we never see her nor her ship, Thel Ghost, in the movie but that doesn’t mean she could never of been there, just that she’s off screen fighting somewhere else in the battle. Similarly, Thundercracker could be just off screen fighting the jets that were protecting the ospreys. His design could have been the basis for the KSI boss, similar to Galvatron originally being designed off of Optimus and ended up looking like Megatron, Stinger was designed as a better looking Bumblebee, and the two headed Shockwave that had to have come from someone. This is the theory I take because 2- Starscream. In the novels and comics, Starscream is said to be the one who shoots Sentinel down, yet in the film we see the ships doing the work, meaning that he likely was flying that ship or could transform into one. There are some differences between material, but there’s nothing to suggest this isn’t canon, and would be an interesting note that Starscream had shot down two Autobot ships in one movie. 3- Crankcase. Although Studio Series prides itself on screen accuracy, they have made some mistakes. Minorly, Jolt has a DOTM box despite never being in the movies, and never being intended to appear in the film. Secondly, there was a Berserker figure that came out for TLK that was retooled into Crowbar with a more accurate look. When Crankcase came out, they just painted Crowbar’s dreads gold and didn’t alter the figure, making Crowbar incredibly inaccurate. And with the Bumblebee set you brought up, that was probably based on concept art as the film was supposed to be a prequel to the Bay movies and Bumblebee’s final camero mode was probably supposed to be more in line with the look from the first Transformers movie. However, the film was changed late into production into being a reboot and so a lot was quickly changed last minute as a result. So the Thundercracker concept could still be accurate at least somewhat, having supposed to be in the movie, and then they just reused Nitro Zeus’ body rather than make a whole new figure.
This video was interesting because it’s one of those old questions from the beginning of studio series many people had for a bit plus I have the original dotm deluxe Thundercracker so I thought he was at least planned for dotm.:)
To Theorymus: The only plausible bit of info that could explain the studio series Thundercracker figure is that He might've been based off of Thundercracker's design from Transformers: the PSP game or He could've been the Thundercracker from the alternate timeline in the titan comics
I feel like they wanted to do studio series for the Seekers but then they realized that 1) people didn't really care since Thundercracker and Skywarp were never in the movies or concept art and 2) "Seeker" means something totally different in the movie continuity and they didn't want it to get confusing if they ever made SS Jetfire
Surprised no one has mentioned that he played a huge part in the transformer IDW comics that came out during rotf and dotm, he was starscream’s right hand man if I recall.
The only reason Thundercracker's body type would be a problem is if KSI specifically designed the KSI Boss body type, meaning that Nitro Zeus could only exist because of KSI. If this isn't the case, and the KSI Boss body type is just a normal decepticon body type -- it just means Thundercracker showed up before Nitro Zeus, which would be fine. It'd be like if Long Haul showed up in TF 2007, it wouldn't break anything.
I remember having a dotm deluxe class thundercrack and that toy he was a recolor of starscream I personally think he got scraped from the movie and his design was that and the reason he is in nitro zues mold is they didn't want to release the same mold right after starscream
I remember in a comic adaptation that’s set between the first film & Revenge of the Fallen, that includes Arcee, fighting Thundercracker on Mars. If I was writing the script for Revenge of the Fallen. I would replace Grindor with Skywarp, who would survive the forest fight with Optimus. He would later appear in Dark of the Moon, with Thundercracker, just to pay tribute to G1.
When I was a kid I had his dotm toy which was a repainted starscream. Back then I was very confused why he got a toy when he wasn't in the film. Same with many other toys I still have that were labelled as from the films yet none of them were
So I don't think that this was a concept figure because their were DOTM figures back when the movie came out, one of which was Thundercracker with DOTM Starscream body just recolored
Just because his robot mode model didn't exist when DOTM was released doesn't mean it was impossible for him to be in the film, he could've just been in vehicle mode in a few frames. Still a crummy excuse when they could've just not said he was in any of the films though
Hasbro: Hey, we're making a line of figures from the live action movies, but more screen accurate and with better engineering than we had back in the early 2000s. Also Hasbro: Hey, we're now making figures of characters who never appeared on screen, and concept art that may or may not even exist but we'll never show you, take our word for it.
Just a reminder that during DOTM Hasbro also released a figure of Thundercracker, that time as a blue straight repaint of Starscreams that transformed knto a blue F-22 raptor!
*Maybe the Creator thinks that he's like an Easter egg and also like the kids might know that I mean just things what the kids say "oh my gosh he's in the movie. So my guess is that probably they want to make something special for everyone however, they didn't made Warpath in the game of a toy and also skywarp and like there's got to be more Autobots and Decepticons the ones they're not part of the movie like Air Raid and Breakaway and Stratosphere those are my favorite characters* *And we all know Stratosphere is in the toy section with Galvatron because we all know he's going to be become a new character a new design.*
I always wondered why they used the AOE design instead of just doing a simple Starscream Repaint. But i had no idea the KSI bot design predated DOTM so that's interesting. I wonder whose choice it was to do SS Thundercracker, they would've had to have known about any conceptualization during DOTM. But also even if it was just for an exclusive, the question still is, why use this mold instead of just waiting for the Starscream mold.
Judging by the background from the toy it looks like that it’s taking place during the during early morning maybe during one of the quick scenes where we see the decepticons ravage chicago I would say that some jets tried to get in the city by thundercracker who took the form of the jet and fought them That how I explain the background of the figure Maybe he was killed during one of these attacks to explain how he wasn’t anywhere else
Maybe he was meant to appear in that film in his alt mode during the scene where nest is being attacked. His design looks cool Do you ever plan on making any social media accounts (such as twitter or tik tok), i really like your videos and i really hope to see more of your content.

I have A theory that Thundercracker was one of the Desepticons that was on the moon that then want through the space bridge, and scanned A fighter jet and made his way to Chicago, and after the battle was down he went into hiding like the other surviving Desepticons were he would eventually be captured be the T.R.F.
I like that they designed a unique look for him instead of copying Starscream and dyeing him blue
Awesome video!👍
Thundercracker was in every movie toyline and studio series.
I'd say he's invited to the cookout. Put him in the special edition.
I have some possible theories and replies to your suggestions:
One- The Battle of Endor. This is the theory I take because
2- Starscream.
I just see it as one of those instances where the movie lines just add their own characters for fun
I remember there was another thundercracker figure recoloured from starscream for dotm
This video was interesting because it’s one of those old questions from the beginning of studio series many people had for a bit plus I have the original dotm deluxe Thundercracker so I thought he was at least planned for dotm.:)
As much as I would love to have seen Thundercracker in DOTM, I feel like it would have been a crime to have him without Skywarp.
Did everyone forget that we had Starscream had repaints with Skywarp and Thundercracker?
so maybe in fiction he was in dorm off screen and died then his remeans were recovered by ksi in aoe and used as the basis for ksi boss
His DOTM deluxe figure goes *hard* tho.
I always thought all the decepitcons that Optimus killed in his rage during the final battle were all random protoforms and other decepitcons.
Also remember all the TLK Toysrus exclusives like that deluxe megatron that looked nothing like him
The stealth plane one?
To Theorymus: The only plausible bit of info that could explain the studio series Thundercracker figure is that He might've been based off of Thundercracker's design from Transformers: the PSP game or He could've been the Thundercracker from the alternate timeline in the titan comics
I feel like they wanted to do studio series for the Seekers but then they realized that 1) people didn't really care since Thundercracker and Skywarp were never in the movies or concept art and 2) "Seeker" means something totally different in the movie continuity and they didn't want it to get confusing if they ever made SS Jetfire
Dortiocraker
Surprised no one has mentioned that he played a huge part in the transformer IDW comics that came out during rotf and dotm, he was starscream’s right hand man if I recall.
He would be a sideline seeker and probably might kill Mohawk,as the First Decepticon to annoy Thundercracker the MOST.
His robot head reminds me of Waspinator from Beast Wars. It's giving bug like features 😃
Whatever the case may be for how he was made, I hope they try and do the same for Skywarp.
I was so confused when I went to see DoTM because I saw a trailer with Thundercracker and Starscream transforming but never saw him in the movie
Awesome Job!✨
Thundercracker would be cool in the movie, imagine seeing Bayverse return
Thundercracker is my favorite! My top toy is the repaint of Starscream TF 2007 Movie.
Thundercracker could’ve been a idea to be killed by cementary wind in aoe but then scrapped the Idea
I think (marketing wise) it was a way to keep the trademark on Thundercracker as the name hadn’t been used since the MP-11T figure (to my knowledge)
When I was a kid I had his dotm toy which was a repainted starscream. Back then I was very confused why he got a toy when he wasn't in the film.
Same with many other toys I still have that were labelled as from the films yet none of them were
Thundercracker was originally going to be in a different exclusive line, however that line was canceled so he was folded into studio series instead
Thundercracker's studio series figure reminds me of one of the protoforms from the Mexican standoff with sideswipe and ironhide
I honestly thought you were going to talk about the Deluxe class Thundercracker action figure from when Dark if the Moon movie got released.
What if he was one of those jets that never transform?
I believe it was concept art. Though the line was not a thing yet, hasbro may have decided “hey he looks cool” and made him.
I've heard theories that Nitro Zeus just WAS one of the Seekers, with a different name.
He would’ve been a really cool character to see in the original trilogy
Just a reminder that during DOTM Hasbro also released a figure of Thundercracker, that time as a blue straight repaint of Starscreams that transformed knto a blue F-22 raptor!
*Maybe the Creator thinks that he's like an Easter egg and also like the kids might know that I mean just things what the kids say "oh my gosh he's in the movie. So my guess is that probably they want to make something special for everyone however, they didn't made Warpath in the game of a toy and also skywarp and like there's got to be more Autobots and Decepticons the ones they're not part of the movie like Air Raid and Breakaway and Stratosphere those are my favorite characters*
*And we all know Stratosphere is in the toy section with Galvatron because we all know he's going to be become a new character a new design.*
If they rerelease DOTM Thundercraker, it would have to be labeled as "Concept Art"
Wasn't thundercracker a boss fight in the arcade shooter?
Or am I thinking of skywarp?
There's an alternate timeline where this video was made because Thundercracker died in ROTF and his model was reused.
Judging by the background from the toy it looks like that it’s taking place during the during early morning maybe during one of the quick scenes where we see the decepticons ravage chicago
I would say that some jets tried to get in the city by thundercracker who took the form of the jet and fought them
That how I explain the background of the figure
Maybe he was killed during one of these attacks to explain how he wasn’t anywhere else
he also had a figure in hunt for the decepticons
I wonder what skywarp, acid storm, ion storm, and nova storm would have looked like.
Maybe his head was the one daytrader found in buffalo and it lokked identical to starscreams head hence why it was in perfect condition
Another great vid! I hope you're doing well Theorymus!
Maybe he was meant to appear in that film in his alt mode during the scene where nest is being attacked. His design looks cool
Do you ever plan on making any social media accounts (such as twitter or tik tok), i really like your videos and i really hope to see more of your content.
With tik tok potentially being banned and Twitter being... well Twitter, I don't see myself making any more socials
