Paladin got All The Swords!!
welcome to ffxiv, where monk and summoner are always new jobs 😂
don't forget ast 😂😂😂😂
@@azae00Vids and BRD
Since when has monk has been changed since 2.0? Literally same GCD rotation, except for when DK was made to work different PB rotation changed a bit. Literally same shirt with a different food stain each week until now.
If only mch was reworked again then it would work with mch and smn
MNK changed every expansions. At first, they were all for positional and you have to build up lightning grease to attack faster.
Their rotations did changed, but not complete rework. The previous MNK has some RNG in their rotations. For now, they are on their own league.
What ppl look at MNK is like they are static job instead of actually require to know how to fight and combo correctly. This new MNK and
Aside, ppl usually compare a game with X.0 patches. Which is silly because live service gaming update overtime. ShB has the most balance update to every job available in the game (including Blue). You wouldn’t get that much resources like any other expansions when they have to balance the contents instead of making them the gap smaller.
That’s said Enochian removing is validated because they aren’t a dps kit or a buff that add to party, there is no proper adaption to that ability rather than put them into a trait and get more dps abilities for BLM. BLM has an issue with cutscene downtime and buff is short enough to do so.
Ppl just look at BLM has a high skill ceiling job but in contrary, it doesn’t at much the current contents of the game rather than casting like a mad man.
@@Nikzzza Monk pretty much got reworked in every expansion, hell they remade it twice in shadowbringers, first when the expansion launched and then with the 5.4 patch
Pld: use all his swords skills
Orlandeau: “proud smile”
Always wanted pld to lean towards heavenly swordsman
and I quote "Well god damn!"
@@Dyne191 Hell, I would have been satisfied if Paladin basically gained the abilities Agrias had, like Judgment Blade, Hallowed Bolt, Divine Ruination, & Northswain's Strike. Still, that's just from a visual perspective. I'm a DPS (Red Mage) main, so....yeah. :P
PLD: Have you heard that we use swords? No? Let me show you my swords...all of them
Honed is the blade that severes the villains head.
MNK: "They completely reworked that job!"
SMN: Hold my beer.
Confetti combo looks really sick. Monk looks really sick. Everything looks really sick. Except WHM. They look really healthy.
Whm looks good watcha mean
@@nararanaraiii2022 WHM looks really good, yes. Super healthy.

@@mayleelove4332 I didnt get the joke i was too tired for my brain to process lmfao
Well played 😂
Everyone keeps missing the fact that samurai has a 3rd AOE finisher for the Snow Sen.
As a sam main, I am glad to see that our aoe is now 1 to 1 to 1 with our single target skils. And that new iaijutsu is just... ... I need to change my pants. xD
@@ShadowWolf289 I play BLM and noticed it does the same screen shake effect our Flare does (Which i LOVE) it looks so sick. Peak Omae wa mou energy.
That wind style samurai sword skill is the same move Stormblood sam has in the trailer (since they cut it into 1 shot scene so you only see one hit but it’s actually 3 hits with 2 air strikes and 1 ground strike). Pretty much if they magnified the range of that ability, it could be much bigger than usual since it’s considered a compressed air strike triangle slash attacks (remind me of inuyasha for reasons)
@@weiss4855 weeb
just like lots of people miss the fact that the reaper in the job action trailer is a hrothgar wearing the af gear hat.
Love how the RDM job icon piece is outside the arena circle, most likely due to backflipping lol
Paladin is kind of like a Sword Saint now with these extra sword spells. Very nice.
Well the base class Gladiator is called Sword Art Practitioner in Japanese, so casting "Sword Magic" is the true essence of the class and I'm glad it wasn't lost this far into the game design.
We are slowly working out way to becoming T.G Cid
Unlimited Blades Works!
its basically garen now
I heard you like swords, so I made your sword drop swords so you can use swords while you use swords.
Scholar has a peloton in combat every melee dps without a dash is gonna......wait
Sword Stance is back with a vengeance
Kinda funny how RDM is already out of the arena at the beginning of the trailer.
That is freaking hilarious, that had to have been on purpose
AW FU- I didn't even see that, man I feel called out!
It's a right of passage. Proud to yeat my self off the platform. Shows I made it 😂
Maybe you can stylishly put down that cool looking group wide protection spell as you peace out off the stage.
In other news, Dragoon got its pole dance back!
The Honeybee is saved!
Happy whenever a tank uses anything remotely resembling a shield: "Ok that's TBN"
I love how the solution to the Egi glam issues was to delete them and just give us the actual primals lmao
Only took like 9 expansions
And now the door is open for them to give us even more primals in later expansions as glams/phases
They mentioned that you could glam your smn pets, but only very minorly. Might be only visible for you? It was very brief and not clear.
@@Samus11111 They said you can glam your carbuncle to look like the ifrit/Titan/Garuda egi’s we currently have.
@@Paiinkillerr I also heard the reverse. YoshiP said that we saw the carbuncle, but it was actually Ifrit egi or something, just glammed.
The best part is, that new MCH ability is literally called "Chain Saw" So it absolutely counted
I was honestly half-expecting the Machinist to basically be "Summoning Bob isn't enough.... I need a bigger robot!" and then he just summons and pilots a freaking Gundam for a brief period. XD
All the other classes: One dummy or some monster.
Monk: Naw bruh. 2 dummies.
SMN had 2 dummies too .. It was needed.
Devs: “Should we give Paladins more fleshed out sword phase or magic phase?”
Yoshi P: “Yes.”
I love how Paladin is basically "You want more sword? Have more swords!"
Meanwhile, 8-Bit Theater Fighter is over in the corner going "YO THIS IS AWESOME~!"
Thanks for reminding me of 8-Bit Theater. What a strange but funny webcomic. Fighter would be proud of the amount of swords.
Feel like people aren't talking about the meteor storm that Astro got enough
really much better to watch a job action trailer reaction from people that knows the jobs
Nobody noticed the double use of Meikyo Shisui and Tsubame-gaeshi for the Sam. The 2x Meikyo was the first thing I noticed in their demo.
Yes, I saw a couple people mentioning it. Some think it's just for showing, but I think both abilities will have 2 charges. (Otherwise SAM didn't change at all, other skills were more or less the same minus the aoe for the ice sen. lol)
Maybe you'll be able to perform the Ultra Midare after using Tsubame 2 times, that's why?
@@gianni.sacciloto They literally said in the live letter you're getting a second charge of those two moves.
And with that gunbreaker officially has more Seifer moves than Squall at this point with the new cartridge spender being his bloodfest limit break
Kinda messed up the naming convention too now that they added that in. That should be Bloodfest and the cartridge filler should be renamed to Draw and Junction.
@@Tenryou23 indeed. When i saw the pvp action was called draw and junction became sad xD
Not like his ShB artifact armour wasn't Seifer's...
How much you wanna bet the 2-cartridge move is gonna be called Fire Cross?
Everyone else: Enraptured silence.
Mr Happy: TALK FOR CONTENT!!
IKR, how long have I waited for smn to become the actual smn.
Finally, summoner is a summoner! It may have only taken 8 years to reach this point, but finally we true summoners have prevailed against the people who wanted the class to remain as an Affliction Warlock clone with ugly pets. The war is won at last.
Unfortunately, they're gonna have to sugma. Give all the DoTs to scholar
as confirmed later on in the stream, the default pet for summoner, the carbuncle, can be egiglamoured to any other of the existing egiglamours, including the actual primal-egi's
@@goldmeistergeneral Wait so can we make carbuncle look like actual big primal ifrit or just the tiny ifrit egi?
@@momos5803 tiny i'm assuming, the big version would just get in the way a lot if it was always around
@@Epicfailmanable 😑 but hey we are actual summoners now
I actually didn't notice that before but I believe Bard does have a charged action for the bloodletter cd. They use Rain of Death and Bloodletter back to back during Army's Paeon. I'm so excited for the next expansion!
I was legit in tears while watching this xD My sweet Pld looking really sick and all the other jobs be looking good as well, looking forward to try Sage and Reaper too!
It was a chain of saws, at the very least.
yeah, the devs confirmed after the trailer that it is indeed chainsaw
as a smn main as you know Hap I'm very very happy right now 🏆🏆🏆🏆

I was ready to abandon it and play as a GBR, but this has TOTALLY changed my mind
@@jayr5mitty351 big facts
Paladin getting Infinite Bladeworks
It took 6 years but FF14 monk is finally almost as strong as Tifa Lockheart. Love the new monk Tifa esque "Starshower" ability.
I love the dash, I will just get back into the game because of the dash. I can be goku now or any anime protagonist
@@acidosis1985 way better than shoulder tackle monk looks great.
Since I haven't seen it mentioned, the machinists chainsaw attack is an reference to one of Edgar's chainsaw attack in FFVI.
The job action trailer is cool and all but... The music!!
You shout outs to Sly's Patlabor shirt.
Finally got a shotgun to tell lalas "GET OFF MY LAWN!!"
I read something about SCH getting a movespeed buff that works during combat,, I think that's what the SH running up to attack might have been.
So basically, Paladins have a Gunbreaker Style Combo of Finishers now. Awesome.
I wonder if we gonna get promyvion like dungeon with the empty enemies on the moon.
Dude I just cannot tell you how hyped I am!! I have a main for each role including melee and ranged and so happen both of my mains for a phenomenal rework. Love monk and summoner 😍😍😍
Hey Happy, if you look at Bard, they use Bloodletter and Rain of Death almost back to back. Stacks confirmed?
or have they just separated them instead of having them share a cooldown?
@@Lorkanthal Nah, they use the AOE skill which I assume is an upgrade to Quick Nock between the attacks, so it refreshes the cooldown of Bloodletter/Rain, cause they do Rain of Death, AOE attack, then Bloodletter, this is assuming the Quick Nock upgrade procced the CD reset between the two attacks
this is supposed to be a reaction video , we were watching other people watching the trailer , only mrhappy was reacting :)
The others are only "featuring" I guess XD
Paladin is channeling their inner Gilgamesh from fate stay night and just summoning swords with impunity, I can practically hear WoL going; You Filthy Mongrels , know your place !!!
I was a SMN main until ShB, then I finally abandoned it for MCH and its rework. I was really reluctant and sad at first, but I ADORE MCH and I’m so glad we’re getting Edgar’s CHAINSAW now, as that’s what I’ve personally been wanting added (that and Sonic Blaster). My only disappointment there is it doesn’t include the mask! How am I supposed to reach peak Edgar Roni Figaro greatness if I can’t wear a hockey mask while disemboweling my enemies?!
That said, the SMN changes are definitely bringing me back to SMN. It looks SO FUN now, and even though I enjoyed old SMN, it was only half a job with the other half being more ARC-ish, whereas other jobs felt more cohesive and true to their classic iterations. Now we can REALLY summon, and I just know it will be AMAZING.
you brought be flashbacks to my childhood playing ff6...When Edgar would Crit with the chainsaw he would put on a Hockey Mask...oh what a time to be alive as a Final Fantasy Fan! Figaro Greatness indeed!
You could always just wear one of those low-level wooden masks in white, to make up for not having it as part of the animation.
Everyone: Amazing and unique gap closers
Healers: *Approach enemy calmly*
I had a feeling that Raiden Thrust in the ShB DRG rotation was them dipping their toes into something they were going to go in hard for in the next expansion. Half the new Dragoon moves look like Raiden Thrust esque positional reward abilities.
I'm really interested in the new MNK revamp, it looks like a lot of fun. Although this isn't even the first rework MNK's gotten, so hopefully it works out in effectiveness this time too.
I was just as excited as you were mrhappy when they aired the job action trailer! Cant wait for EW launch! :D
Ninja actions looking really cool.
Kinda wish there was more to it but the new bunshin wind attack is cool and getting a chidori is pretty awesome.
Very happy doton aoe seems to be enhancing hakke mujinsatsu.Always thought it should and it gives a reason to doton in dungeons
Then SMN. Every attack looking like an LB3
@@10tailedbijuu Well maybe not all but those primal summons have massive explosions. Kinda puts blm to shame. Unless the perspective is skewing the proportions.
Monk looks like a straight up DBZ/Street fighter character.. my mouth is watering. And i need a change of Drawers after seeing Sam using an laijutsu with no Sen.
It looks like that Chakra is going to work like Mudra while under PB which absolutely effing amazing. Given it seems to work on a 2 minute cycle (it gets charges every 40s and stacks to two) and we only saw the yin and yang Masterful Blitzes it seems to me that there is going to be third a MB that uses the neutral (the green ones) Chakra that you'd use under the trick attack window?
@@steweygrrr i was hoping they gave Monk more interesting animations. That teleport to the enemy was amazing and possibly because remember there are three fist styles, wind, fire and earth so that would make sense
@@AlexStayFly20 Probably tied to the Form of the attack Opo-Opo, Coeurl and Raptor. In the full presentation they showed that 3 Bootshines under Perfect Balance was Elixir Field.
Also during this demo I think they started with one ying/yang already (Purple) Then did the second (white) [Standard 123 AOE rotation - Tornado Kick is now AOE and Arm of the Destroyer is gone] to do the explosion and then the third was the Starshower-style finisher [Dragonkick Opo, Bootshine Opo, Demolish Coeurl].
They did me happy with my favorites, being RDM, SMN, and BRD. Super curious exactly what’s going on with AST, but it looks really nice, I have to say.
Look at summoner actually being a summoner for once.
MrHappy is the only one even worth watching the reaction to.
i love how Ethys comments on the environment like 2-3 times saying how beautiful it is :D the man lives for the different kind of detail!
I've said the same for years about summoner. It's never felt like a summoner to me and now, I'm considering changing mains from dragoon which I've played since arr it looks so damn COOL
Ninja HYPE
Totally batshit AST theory: I think that mystery AOE at the end of the clip is what caused that defensive buff to repeat. That’s Time Dilation.
How many swords for paladin ?
YES
I'm a relatively new player are the smn changes retroactive or does that change occur at level 80? Wonder if the whole job quest storyline line is gonna be reworked
It'll be retroactive. I assume the primal phases are locked behind job quest skill unlocks.
Some changes will be retroactive, but the new summons don't unlock before you can summon Bahamut, so they'll be post-70. 1-70 you should expect the class to play in a similar fashion, minus the dot management.
Paladin in Endwalker: I am the bone of my sword…
I like how similar Larryzaur and Happy's reactions to Summoner were, though Larry did go more monkey mode.
Summoner’s ifrit dash and smash is actually the same combo as Ninjas gap closer to chidori
We still need to see the actual changes but SCH is shaping up to be the black sheep of Endwalker, funny because SMN stole the show for me lol.
I just think the SCH changes are more 'hidden' than the other healers. And the long distance to the SCH character made it honestly too difficult to see much of what was happening.
@@Drademdar It's not just the trailer really, later on in the presentation they also said that very little has been changed about SCH and the new stuff doesn't really sound that great or special. AST has been reworked, WHM gets a totem and Sage is new... overall it's underwhelming.
Yeah. SB!SCH is missed so much. I was hoping for more offensive options in EW. That ain't happening.
@@0909Alz Well, I've not finished watching the entire Live Letter yet since it's 6 hours long. I have watched half of it and was going to wait until tomorrow with the rest. But if that's true, then it's a shame. Perhaps we can expect a revamp later in the expansion? It has happened before.
laughed when sch had to walk to mob to dps.
Watching the twitch VoD of this and actually FFXI went to tier 5 spells in it's game so I wonder what they used for it in JP.
pretty sure they numbered it like in the english client. -ra and -ga spells are different types of AoE variants (-ra being point blank, -ga targeted) which had thei own tiers, pretty sure I've seen autotranlates using numerals at the end {Thunder}3
jeez happy, stop to breathe now and again, give the others a chance xD
That NIN Chidori got to love it
I just noticed how proccing Third Eye now gives you 10 Gauge. TEN! That's MASSIVE compared to Seigan holy shit.
Yes. I love how they change our sam boy
Man I had been telling my FC for years, if they want folks to use Third Eye make it a BIG DPS increase or just get rid of it cause Seigan not beefy enough. Nice to see they kept that aspect of the job mechanic and buffed it. 2 charge Tsubame and Meikyo makes SAM pretty damn bursty on top of all the Shoha's that makes and that big Super Midare finisher. Can't wait =D
@@ExireHG me too man. about shoha, this new shoha is gonna change the old shoha?
@@tavernadodevilhunter6732 it's prob like monk enlightment : just an AoE version of existing single-target action
@@sifridcrew4168 its nice to see more aoes for sam
I think I saw the warrior using butcher's block as third combo hit :O

Good, I thought it was only me who felt that way.
Cringeee
as a new player, i actually thank him for that, so at least i can have a brief understanding of what is new
Will these take effect on the free trial?
yes, the reworks like monk and smn, their low lvl spell which unlock in low lvl will be changed to the updated one
and upgrades from lvl 70-90 skill wouldn't be since you need to purchased SW and EW to reach said lvl

smn looks amazing but im sad about the loss of dots

Sly looking like he wanna jump in the game and end the conversation!
Monk looks great.
Now I'm motivated.
Hmm, if i could guess, its new version of Blizzard 2? Im interested whats that fire and ice spell. They said there will be new proc in live letter. It seems like way to refresh Astral Fire/Umbral Ice counter thats for sure, but it looks like it does more than that.
Confusing, we will have to wait and see.
That's what I'm figuring. Fire 2 and Blizzard 2 got upgraded to Fire 5 and Bliz 5 respectively, since nobody uses them once you get Freeze and Flare. Glad to see the BLM AoE rotation get some love!
@@chazon1780 You do use Fire II up to lvl60, you dont have that MP reducing(zeroing) trait for Flares. But yes, B2 is useless.
Fire V, if its AoE could be nice addition. Theres is still question of that new Fire and Ice spell. He goes Freeze, Thunder, that spell and straight to full stacks of Astral Fire to cast Fire V. Thats bit weird. Maybe Fire V will give three stacks, idk. He still cast three Flares tho.
They said Fire/Blizzard 2 are getting upgraded to Hi-Fire/Blizzard 2, and you get the resource for the combo "frostfire" spell be switch elements "a certain way."
Scholar seemed to be the least changed of all of them.
They literally said, in the discussion phase after this, that they couldn't think of any ways to really change the SCH...
@@Samus11111 Yeah. My only guess is that it's already perfect or something, which is what I'm gonna go with :p
@@Samus11111 Gee i wonder if thats because they literally made a new job called sage that is just a cooler version of scholar instead of just making a new healer. All their new ideas went to sage scholar got shafted and they did this wierd shield and pure healer split cuz they r running out of ideas lol. As a scholar main i am very disappointed they couldnt even make scholar flashier at least to keep up?
@@maxrusty3596 I still consider myself a SCH main, but I switched to AST for tier 2 or 3 of the last savage. And unless there's a TON of changes that they didn't bother to mention, which I doubt, I'm going to be a Sage more than likely because my group needs a "barrier healer"...
It got an in-combat peleton (that's why the scholar actually ran to the boss in the trailer), but yeah. That really seemed about it.
And summoner finally becomes a job that won't make Rydia roll in her grave. Seriously, even with the new jobs, when going to the moon, PLD and SMN have to be amazing. It's just required.
I was main smn until shadowbringers bc I couldn't solo dungeons with titan pet anymore. Going to go back and give it a go again with these cool changes
@@10tailedbijuu same :( I did it for rare minion drops and stuff for gil. I'm too squishy to do it without titan san's aid

Its great that SMN is actually summoning. . . it only took several reworks and a lot of people asking for it for years!
Since SMN lost all its DoTs they should've given them to SCH as compensation for the job's poor Job Action Trailer showing. (Please Yoshi P) lol
You though that was poor? I really liked that it's leaning into the buffing and pre-empting aspects of SCH.
@@steweygrrr you thought that wasn't poor?
In no way can I agree with that; but I'm happy someone thought that looked good, more power to you, I guess.
@@pockystyx4087 SCH has never been about zomgsplosions so I don't know what you expected to see. We only know for sure what one of those abilities does which is the damage reduction with move speed side effect and we can guess that there is a targeted personal chain stratagem in addition to the raid buff version so until we get hands on with it we'll have to reserve judgement. Scholar has never been the flashiest in terms of animation and I didn't expect them to change that any time soon.
@@steweygrrr I'm not sure where you got me wanting explosions? especially since Broil and Art of War are explosive spells? And I think they even had the SCH walk up and down sma- I mean Art of War II.
I love SCH for its tactical DoTs and spell weaving, shields, fairy and Aetherflow management and the like. I know its hard to make DoTs exciting; since its more of a in-the-moment kind of game feel kind of thing.
That's the thing I hoped the see with at least a job showcase. Say what you will about Seraph; she at least was something interesting to look forward to in ShB. . . even if she disappointed in the end. But a flashy spell or two is something you'd probably put in there just for the hype factor.
So anxious.... the two main jobs I play are the two getting the biggest changes. Hope there's still a job for me next expansion. Will have to see if I like the new MNK/SMN
MNK is getting the second half of its 5.3 rework.
Shoulder tackle replaced with instant transmission and the new dark/light Chakra maneuvers gotten from doing combos certain ways.
It doesn't seem that huge of a change, more just getting a new mechanic.
@@KappaEngineerNitori true.... though it's going to be like getting all your ninjutsu at once, so I think the learning curve will be pretty steep for level 80. The shoulder tackle thing, though... that's just riddle of wind without the greased lightning stack that can target party members. Honestly not sure when it will get used, at least speaking as a controller player, since targeting a party member to use it means losing up time on the boss, defeating the entire purpose of using it. I really at this point just hope that it keeps its identity of wanting to be the really low GCD job. I LOVED my 1.7 sec GCD
@@10tailedbijuu I had to drop SAM this expansion. With hagakure being nerfed into the ground to force more use of iajutsu, the frequent high pitched sound effects of the iajutsu wind up gave me intense headaches and made me physically sick. I've had to turn off other people's sound effects even this expansion since just playing next to a SAM has been enough to make me sick :( Reaper does look interresting, will try it out, and it might be a good choice if it's as fast-paced as it seems
My guess for MNK is the 3 circles are like fighting game combos.
Do 3 attacks and unlock a fourth attack based on what colors you get.
I'm just glad I main MNK and SMN.
where's the bluemage :((
I absolutely love what SE did with the summoner changes...but I'll always be wondering if they'll bring in Ramuh, Levi and Shiva in the same way. Ever since the post 50 SMN quest, I've been holding out hope that one day they will...
I'd expect that come Lv100, Bahamut will lead to Titan/Ifrit/Garuda and Phoenix will lead to Sapphire Leviathan, Amethyst Ramuh, and Diamond Shiva
I still can't believe that taunt you with a quest to go get Ramuh-egi only to go "lol nope, you can't learn Ramuh-egi for... reasons. Deal with it."
Honestly SCH and DRK got screwed on the presentation aspect. No one could tell that the SCH ran because they have a sprint AoE and they didn't even show that many skills. DRK on the other hand looked like they just used skills in any random order, I mean what was that after the Delirium? Flood of Shadow, Quietus, then Carve and Spit? I know they wanted to line up the C&S to look cool but does Delirium work with MP now too? Cause Bloodspiller would have been better to use than FoS. In fact the DRK didn't even use Bloodspiller at all, only Esteem did.
Happy is really happy 😁
