That food looks so good. I love Thai food.usually they will err on the side of less spice until they get to know you and what you can handle. Most places have a spice tray so you can add more spice. Lots of servers told me too many people send food back as too spicy. That’s why they do it.
Totally understand but I’m so use to having Thai chili peppers as a standard.

If you do come to Maryland you have to try G&M seafood 820 N Hammonds Ferry Rd, Linthicum, Md. They are known for their crab cakes. Get the shrimp stuffed with crab cakes it's less expensive and has the same crab cake inside. Phenomenal!

That curry looked great, like a good compliment to the white rice! I made pineapple fried rice b4 and I didnt like it very much, but it looks great served I'm the pineapple husk!

Went to a Thai place in the poconos and had their "evil lobster" almost 20 years ago. It may have been this place.
I did a level 7 to enjoy the lobster, but asked to try the "pure evil" after we were done. I can handle hot really well, but adjust for the dish, flavor, and how I feel.
So the chef brought out a toothpick with just the tip dipped in the "evil" (the chili paste). Not gonna lie, eating the "evil" straight had me scarfing a whole bowl of rice and pounding water😂😂😂
The chef laughed so hard. Great staff💙
Btw Americanized Pad Thai is rarely spicy unless you ask for it to be. Drunken Noodles and the curries, usually give you a spice option. Like you said, they aren't trying to kill their demographic.😂

There’s so many great spots in the Poconos, it’s close to NY and Philly so we’re definitely a melting pot with lots of different types of food in the area
