I absolutely love these train videos and this one is one of the best quality videos I have seen. No pixelization, crystal clear throughout and straight up gorgeous scenery. Superb work!
Thanks, Paolo, for taking the time to tour through the locomotive's interior. I always enjoy seeing old electrical high-tech before the advent of silicon changed so much of the engineering design. Here in the United States I can't think of any locomotive(s) pulled out of a museum collection so it/they may return to active mainline service. Restoration for a tourist line, yes. Returning to daily work in either passenger or freight, no. 0:05:40 It was quite a feat how that pair of legs kicked the switch over into proper alignment so that the train could start its run. Thanks much, Mr. Twinkle Toes! 2:03:13 Railfan! Traveling though the beautiful Swiss mountains never grows old. Thank you, Paolo and lorirocks, for another fine presentation.
It's a great train line that I'd watch again and again ! I think the older types are more suited to the Swiss Alps than the more modern trains and locomotives of recent years. Thank you so much for fantastic video !

Great to see it. I rode from Zermatt to Davos around 10 years ago and I clearly remember the train being pulled by nr 602 on the last leg of the journey, as I saw it switch ends in Filisur. Shortly thereafter it was taken out of service. I'm happy with the prospect of being able to ride with it again.

Wow! Could this video be more perfect? No! It's a lovely route at a lovely time of year and such great videography - sensational! Thanks LoriRocks and thanks Paolo. That run into Chur with more and more and more railway infrastructure is wonderful! By the time you get into the station there is so much railway that it looks like some demonic model railway builder went completely beserk and designed a hundred track layout :-) Seen it on a couple of other videos, but it wows me every time. :-D

Thank you, Paolo and lorirocks777 both, it's like meeting up with an old friend - I did the reverse end-to-end journey on the GEX in 1981, at a time when reversal was routinely at Reichenau-Tamins rather than Chur, all those little wayside halts between Preda and Thusis had regular service and you still went over the top of the Furka. So my question is whether we yet have a firm schedule for the main track to be cut across from the old tunnel to the new? Appreciate you sharing the depot activity at each end, good to see how well these veteran locos are cared for - that must have contributed to their continuing usefulness. Thanks again \m/

What a spooky pair of legs!
just a thought , have you ever considered the addition of an altimeter to the videos , I think it would add interesting information
Lorirocks does post elevations at each station.
I have one on 2 videos, see Liestal - Cornaux and Sonceboz - Solothurn. It's just quite inaccurate.
I'm sure this has been addressed before, but can someone explain how the locomotive is classified? What do the parts of Ge 4/4 I stand for?
Sure! G is meter gauge locomotive, e is for electric powered, 4 number of motors, 4 axles and I for first series.
