No matter what you do, its still a sweat fest in early season. Im a saddle guy, but next year i will only hunt out of pre set hang ons in warm weather as that's the simplest method
When I get up to Set Hight, I'll Flip the seat up , go under my lineman's belt then fold the Seat back over the LB. That way you don't have to hang on to stand to set the Belt. snug the belt up .(Tree Stand Strap) Lift seat back up then move lineman's belt up the tree then step in to set Tree stand..try it..saves time holding on to stand.. Today's Tree stands are light enough to not notice it on your belt a few seconds Great Video Jason, Good luck in the Woods 👍
I have videos on that. In any of my bow set up videos. I use one nocking point not 2. And indexing knocks with the little thumb ridge so I don't have to look when I knock an arrow.
I’ve watched lots of your videos on tree stand hanging/safety. I’ve recently abandoned the climber, I’m enjoying hunting lower w/ better cover. Is the tether + lineman belt something new you recently added?
I've always used the lineman belt climbing and then tied the tether when I got on stand. Last year after my 4th time in my life slipping a step in the rain and getting cut up and bruised by the lineman belt catching, but sliding down a few feet, I decide to use both my lineman belt ( for hands free work like hanging sticks and the stand) and also using a running bowline in my tether and sliding it up and down as I climb as an extra safety measure. It adds about 2 mins to my climb time but I like the added safety of being double connected (there and lineman) as I climb. I will be honest I don't use both every single time. But on any sketchy tree or in wet weather I run both like I show here.
When I start hunting off the ground I will. Right now I'm using my stand as Temps are so hot and humid here right now I like being in the tree for a little breeze and air flow
Both are great. In my opion the beast stand is the best stand ever made for size vs weight and function. But both work excellent and will hang on almost any tree
Hey Jason, thanks for the video! I want to ask, what kind of shoulder straps are those you are using on your stand? I appreciate it! Man Ga, way to hot for me, I’m in Ohio, do you miss MI? Take care Good luck this season!!!!
I'm currently using paracord straps as I only carry the stand up and down the tree otherwise it's hooked on my pack. If I had straps on the stand in this video they were Allen tree stand straps. Simple cheap and effective. I do miss the crisp cool Temps of Michigan. But would not trade ga hunting for anywhere else. Love it here
I just moved from Northern Michigan and hunt 3 other mid west states each year. Branches are the reason we use the lineman belt and the tether at the same time. That way always connected going around branches.
Personal preference but mine is 8 feet. I hunt big diameter trees sometimes and a 7 footer was just a little too short. Buy 10 ir 12 feet make knots and then play with it and cut off what you don't need.
Very nice demo
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it

Life is much easier if you have presets up and ready

Great Video Jason, Good luck in the Woods 👍
Heh great tip. Thanks
That is a fantastic tip. Thanks
I appreciate all your videos, I have a playlist of just your videos on hanging tree stands etc thank you so much!
Thanks. Glad ypu are enjoying them
Great video Jason.
Thanks
Great demo. That’s the first time I saw someone use the lineman’s belt AND tether while climbing. Thank you.
Best way to stay safe. Glad you enjoyed it
Love your content man! You’ve got me so interested in this style of hunting!!
You will love the freedom of mobile hunting
Great tips Jason, thanks and good hunting!
Hope the first week of ga season is treating you well.
Great and practical content. Love that beast stand.
Beast stand is awesome. Such a big platform for how light it is.
Can tell that is a very light stand. Wish my LW alpha 2 was that light
Lw made amazing stands! Will never sell my last assault stand.
When did you start running a tether AND a linemans?
Always used both. But started climbing with both connected 2 years ago
Great video Jason!
Would you kindly teach us how to nock an arrow quickly?
I have videos on that. In any of my bow set up videos. I use one nocking point not 2. And indexing knocks with the little thumb ridge so I don't have to look when I knock an arrow.
great video
Thanks
Great video, Do you only use the top versa button and strap? It appeared that you didn't use the lower strap.
I do only use the top strap. Nothing wrong with using both as 2 is always better than one. But I've only used the top one for all my stands ever.

Thanks for the quick reply and your content. You've saved me a ton on potential new saddle equipment. My LW found new life.

Nice, though can we see ground hunting tips or footage?

What knot do you use to attach teather to harness
figure 8
This. More this. I always forget to raise the lineman’s rope up and end up taking the stand off of the tree and resetting 😂
Yep after a couple times of doing that I figured it's just easier to hang the stand below the belt🤣
What do you think about the beast stand. Should I change from my novix to a beast stand or would you just use it.

Wow tall straight trees, hard to find in NE Ohio hardwoods and cornfields 🤩🤺
Lol I know. I have to cut branches every dang hunt

Branches are all part of the game. I'd rather have branch cover and climb around em thrasher than a limbless tree.
Practice at low heights like you are is a great idea
Very true. Always good to practice low and get your system and method figured out before each season
How long is your lineman?
Personal preference but mine is 8 feet. I hunt big diameter trees sometimes and a 7 footer was just a little too short. Buy 10 ir 12 feet make knots and then play with it and cut off what you don't need.
