Well............... I guess you could say he "joined" the Indy 500 4 time Winners Club, but it's more accurate to say he created it, since he was THE FIRST 4-time winner of the Indy 500 and the only 4-time winner for 10 years until Al Unser Sr. joined in 1987.
Just a huge slice of racing history, and a huge slice of Americana‼️ I'm tearing up just like my hero A.J.‼️I probably cried when I watched him win it in 1977,but I was just a kid, now I'm an old man ‼️ But I really am happy that Gordy would go on to get another win ‼️‼️🇺🇸🏁
Let's get the record straight, AJ Foyt did it first as 4 time Indy 500 winner. So it's other drivers joining him as 4 time winners.!! Till some one else wins 5.
Nice list and appreciate the effort! However the 1977 Indy 500 is the top running of the event ever......and I don't know which one is in second for sure.but there is such a wide gap back to second it doesn't really matter. 1977 would make a top ten list of all time Indy 500's based on qualifications alone! But when you add in Foyt's 4th win on race day....that is all she wrote.
AJ didn’t join the exclusive 4 time winners club! He started it!!

Fantastic racing back in 70 Indy class👍

A.J. will always be #1... The OG.
A real race car driver.
At 5:59, love the shot of Foyt streaking by.

AJ built everything in his life himself (with pops) including the 4 time club ...
A very historic month, that started badly. Longtime announcer Sid Collins, recently diagnosed with ALS, hanged himself on May 2nd..
0:09 the music is so nostalgic
