Why did I discover this series just now??!! I watched Viva for years now and never corssed the D&D adventrues. Looking forward to many hours of fun with you guys. Thank you very much for the awsome content!!
I’m currently on episode 143, and whoever did the subtitles, love the quips and extras you put in there. The shrugs and funny things I read in the cc’s expertly magnify the moments of the campaign where I’m already dying of laughter. Long live VLDL!
its a business to them at this point. its not as easy as just putting somebody in the team just cause you see him act here all the time. vldl has already gone through losing team members down to just Alan + Rowan in the past. Even just adding Adam was a huge step.
@Pete Mason go waayyy back to their oldest videos. where they parodied songs. there were 5 of them, none of which is adam. some of those members quit for reasons i dont remember. not much success or how theyd split income and such or something. when it was just alan and rowan left in the team, adam joined in. thats also around the time they started gaining traction with epic npc man. i assume due to the difficulties theyve gone through with their previous 5 man team, they're most likely trying to be careful at what theey do, especially now that they are way way way more popular than bak then.
@@aj-sz8mu I just want to know what happened to their 4th guy in playtech series. He is present in a couple of early episodes as an employee, he seemed pretty cool, but then he just disappeared. Kinda shame, cause he was a really nice fit with the rest of the guys
@@exeterra4825 which one? Kinda curious now who ur talking about. Im assuming for any of them outside of the adam alan and rowan. Everyone else most likely have another fulltime part time or gig elsewhere. So it really wouldnt be surprising whenever we stop seeing someone here. So far theyve only taken ellie fulltime recently.
so im a fan of subtitles and i love how whoever did them added an "old school" emoji when one of them put their hands up as in a "oh well, what are you going to do?" thanks for that
When Ben was listing all his highly trained skills, why was "muggin'" never brought up? Perhaps he is keeping that one close to his chest. Love it and cannot wait for the next episode
Greg: "I know the GM just literally said I notice my wares are missing, but I'm going to roll the dice anyway to see whether my perception is high enough to spot that my wares are missing" *rolls three, shrugs* "Guess I never had any wares in those blatantly open spots."
So I started watching this series about 2 months ago. I've never played D&D and I hadn't heard of VLDL before someone recommended this to me. Yesterday I caught up to the end of released content (episode 142), so here I am back at the beginning to re-watch one of the most hilariously entertaining and soul-comforting shows I have ever had the pleasure of watching. Thank you guys for making my life (rolls percentile dice) % better
@@jamesanthony8438 I know, but I just think he's the better of the two NPC's, and it would be hilarious to see him get his fishing pole upgraded to do lightning damage or something.
Bless you for your subtitles guys. I'm so happy to see that accessibility added. D&D tables are wild in the first place, and I was nervous once I started this that it would be too hard to hear over the chatter with the audio but BLESSSS, too few UA-cam creators add that accessibility to their channels. I'm not a part of the Deaf/HoH community, but it's heartbreaking to see elsewhere and I'm happy to see that you have added that much needed accessibility immediately with it.
Also, whomever edited the video and added the sound effects and music; BRAVO! It really brings it all together when you add the acting in costumes and it's just all so good! Adam missed an opportunity to say his morning routine with magic hands could be used for uhh...pleasurable release LOL!!!
First live D&D playthrough I've ever enjoyed! Partially due to the 20 minute run time as I don't have time for an hour long episode but also because you guys act it all out too!
Literally cannot believe how long ago this started?! I'm rewatching in Nov24 and remembering like it was yesterday ❤ This is how memorable content is made!
i know this is coming from a total stranger but my sympathies for your loss.I lost my father back in '09. i still miss him, every day. videos like these help ease the pain for a while.
I HAD NO IDEA YOU GUYS HAD AN ACTUAL D&D CAMPAGIN IM SO HAPPY DUDE y’all are one of my favorite channels and I’ve been wanting to find a d&d campaign to watch that’s actually good
Half dwarf, half giant raises so many questions. Like, is the father a giant and if so I feel really, really bad for the dwarven mother ( *ouch* ) or is the mom a giantess and if so, the imagery of the dwarf father trying to hop on that booty is pure comic gold.
I have no idea how I'm only just discovering this as I've been a fan of your videos for years, but oh boy do I have something new to binge!! Many thanks!!!

HOLY SHIT. Didn't know this channel even existed. Came here from watching basically all of your skit videos :) So flipping happy to know that there's a bunch more
Everything you guys do is absolute gold. Great stuff here, A small story for you all as this made me think of a time long ago. As a young man, I was never a bully but behind closed doors, I was the one who made fun of DD, World of Warcraft, and the like. Then I met my beautiful gamer wife who proceeded to make fun of me for not exploring new genres of games beyond FPS and Sports my entire life because of a made-up BS stereotype about the "types" of people that play these games. I couldn't argue her point I've always been a logical man and its hard to conjure up a rebuttal to the truth she spoke. So I sat down one day was just after the release of Cata on WoW and created DesamosSalt an undead horde warlock. Now here I am years later and WoW is just about the only game I play, love Lord of the Rings and the like, have read 29 of 40 some odd legend of Drizzt books (best book series ever written IMO), and thoroughly enjoy watching this. So to sum up my story, I went from Jock king of my high school and miserable mind you, to now a huge "nerd" proud of it and truly happy with an abundance of inner peace. I believe it was always there but god forbid if it ever came out as a youngster. As an adult looking back the stigmatism that society places on things such as this is downright wrong and ridiculous as I've had more fun and made more real friends in this realm of things than I ever did playing sports. I still love sports no question a big fan of competition but if the day came where I ever hard to choose this stuff or sports I wouldn't have to think about it for more than a second. Awesome job here guys and the moral of the story is never to be afraid to be who you really are and enjoy the things that make you happy your life will be more fulfilling for it.
I love the effects. This show needs to be famous and needs to go viral. The production value and quality is far above any other dnd show out to date. The cast is great very enjoyable and entertaining. I hope you guys do well.

Revisiting this after episode 200. What a campaign! I literally went in not expecting anything, and now 4 years later I'm super into the Dickhead's story and the world that Rob, Adam, and Alan has built. And it awakened my interest in Dungeons & Dragons, I quenched it by playing both Baldur's Gate 3 since Early Access and Solasta: Crown Of The Magister. And a week from now, I'm starting my first ever D&D campaign with the Indonesian D&D community. I'd never guessed you guys would reach Episode 200 because Descent to Avernus was only 6 episodes, but here's to 100 hundred or more episodes to come and I can't wait how Rob ties all these stories to end whether climactically, dramatically, or heck even tragically as Endelyn's foretold.
Epic npc man personalities playing d&d? This is going to be hilarious. Love everything you guys produce. The cutaway roleplay bits are both original and surprisingly immersive. I know I'm late finding this, but I'm so glad I did! Plz don't stop making videos
That was awsome! I loved the Npc man series and when I heard you are going to release a new D&D series, I was so happy! I love D&D and your content! keep up the good work!

Thank you
I like the running of the 4 different daily perspectives and mysteries that will lead them to team for the quest. Way better than you were summoned by a general lol. Great job and cant wait to see more!
Thanks! I knew it would take longer to get them all together this way but I felt it would feel more meaningful when they did come together if we got to see a little of their everyday lives first.
yeah it is always more epic when it is not forced. Sometimes it cannot be done, but when it can it makes it feel better. Also, tired of a Tavern, Inn, or General summons for your starter adventures?!? Send them on an all expense paid Cruiseship. start in a port town and they have to acquire tickets in some fashion to board. rogues can steal, nobels can buy, etc. or just start on the cruise ship! then they aren't "forced" to team right away. but hey. many people enjoy Bingo and Trivia and stage shows and oh crap pirate attack!
How has this been a thing for almost a year and I just found it??? If the entire series is this laid back and funny I'm going to enjoy watching every minute of it.
Just had to revisit this and say how awesome it had been to watch this series for so long and how far its come. Thank you all for the amazing content week after week 💪
This was an awesome start, I couldn't stop laughing, especially when Gregg got his hand broken by the passive-aggressive, poop slinging, peach farmer. Lmao
when they use the silly voices to say, "My name's rowan, I roll 1s" all I can think of is the Monty python characters running around with handkerchiefs on their heads, "Hullo mr. Gumby!"

Why did I discover this series just now??!!
I watched Viva for years now and never corssed the D&D adventrues.
Looking forward to many hours of fun with you guys. Thank you very much for the awsome content!!
As a welsh woman I must say that the welsh accent you've done for master Leithil is genuinely so great that i did a double take!! Da iawn! 13:09
Yeah rob has some great accents
I’m currently on episode 143, and whoever did the subtitles, love the quips and extras you put in there. The shrugs and funny things I read in the cc’s expertly magnify the moments of the campaign where I’m already dying of laughter. Long live VLDL!
My expertise is mainly; stealing....fighting...drinking....thieving...
Sooooo....
Muggin' people?
Well, he means mugging without actually using this word, which makes it even funnier!
Let's mug em!
Guy 1: what are we!?
Guy 2: muggers
Guy 1: and what do we do!?
Guy 2: we MUGGUM!!!!
Rowan: Hey! What are we?
Ben: Well, we we’re muggers.
R: And what do muggers do?
B: They mug people.
Both: So, let’s go mug ‘em!
@@tevildo9383 I read this in their voices
Ben should be made a permanent member if hes willing
They can't afford him yet :P maybe if D&D pays his bills
its a business to them at this point. its not as easy as just putting somebody in the team just cause you see him act here all the time. vldl has already gone through losing team members down to just Alan + Rowan in the past.
Just coming across this and am loving it. Not trashing CR, but this is so much more like my table than CR. Great stuff.
Bob waking up naked is definitely him respawning after dying.
The Skull of Rahul?
so im a fan of subtitles and i love how whoever did them added an "old school" emoji when one of them put their hands up as in a "oh well, what are you going to do?" thanks for that
When Ben was listing all his highly trained skills, why was "muggin'" never brought up?
Perhaps he is keeping that one close to his chest.
Love it and cannot wait for the next episode
You don't just tell people you're good at muggin. You wait for the opportune moment and surprise them with first hand experience.
Bernard and Charles are the mugging masters - thats why ;)

It was the "I think I'll do it" response as well that got me 🤣🤣

So I started watching this series about 2 months ago. I've never played D&D and I hadn't heard of VLDL before someone recommended this to me. Yesterday I caught up to the end of released content (episode 142), so here I am back at the beginning to re-watch one of the most hilariously entertaining and soul-comforting shows I have ever had the pleasure of watching. Thank you guys for making my life (rolls percentile dice) % better
Why tf is Rowan playing Bodger when he could be Baelin the lv. 99 legendary fisherman?
Baelin's got his own epic quest they're working on, remember? He ain't got time for piddly little side quests with the other villagers =)
@@jamesanthony8438 I know, but I just think he's the better of the two NPC's, and it would be hilarious to see him get his fishing pole upgraded to do lightning damage or something.
@@akitosorogoma2552 then you have to wait for Baelin's film.
@@akitosorogoma2552 I'm more interested in Bodger and Greg's tale. They have such _great_ admiration for each other. ;)
It's a good day for fishin' ain't it?
Bodger's Dwarf father was a blacksmith before him. He specialized in stepladders for some reason.
Omg😂
Lol!!
What are you doing stepladder
I wasa wondering if it was the farther or the mother that was the dwarf, this seems the safer mixup.
I am neither, but subtitles are a godsend for the craziness of DnD tables. And accessibility is important and should be present on all videos
Yes, me too, my hearing loss makes it hard to follow storylines. Thanks for the words!
I thought that Bodger's morning routine would be putting his grandfather's hammer in the well xD
My god to see them all in one place and not arguing is just so wholesome
Rob's face when being robbed was EVERYTHING!!
Also, whomever edited the video and added the sound effects and music; BRAVO! It really brings it all together when you add the acting in costumes and it's just all so good!
Adam missed an opportunity to say his morning routine with magic hands could be used for uhh...pleasurable release LOL!!!
It was inferred, hence Rob hurrying things along
Finally a DnD campaign that isnt 8 hours long. Will definitely be watching all of this.
My ADHD Agrees with this comment
Oh, dear Designated Drinkers, I only started watching now, and boy is this waaaaayyy longer than 8 hrs
After watching this series twice up to episode 49, B.O.B's "They're all dice, they're all the same" equals Legendary Irony +10
Okay, them acting out bits of their character actions is GOLD and exactly what I was hoping for XD Also BOB
Can’t wait to see how this develops! Really fun to see the characters, and I’m in awe at all the accents Robert can pull out of nowhere!
First live D&D playthrough I've ever enjoyed! Partially due to the 20 minute run time as I don't have time for an hour long episode but also because you guys act it all out too!
I think a lot of people will enjoy it being 20 minutes. A lot more easy to watch for time poor people
"there's some water pooled beneath the shelf where your items were"
Ok so we know whomever did this was crying...
hmmm. My mind went to Sherlock Holmes and thought of ice melting. But I guess crying could be the answer!
Perhaps a crying ice elemental?
So, there shoul've been an onion mixed up in all the garlic, the culprit 's hand slipped and he cut it. Hence the tears.

Literally cannot believe how long ago this started?! I'm rewatching in Nov24 and remembering like it was yesterday ❤ This is how memorable content is made!
Ben: They're all dice, they're all the same.
I think I now know the exact moment it all started.
I recently lost my mother. So id like to say thank you for making me laugh.
i know this is coming from a total stranger but my sympathies for your loss.I lost my father back in '09. i still miss him, every day. videos like these help ease the pain for a while.
Sorry for your loss. That sucks. I’m glad you have something that makes you laugh again.
I'm here from episode 101. I'm ready to watch the Ballad of Greg the Garlic Farmer in Endolin's grand theatre!

I HAD NO IDEA YOU GUYS HAD AN ACTUAL D&D CAMPAGIN IM SO HAPPY DUDE y’all are one of my favorite channels and I’ve been wanting to find a d&d campaign to watch that’s actually good
So when Greg woke up, there was The Watcher meditating in his house and now his silverware is missing. Seems like an open and shut case to me.
Great episode. Loving the cut in shot of the characters in costume. It is unique for gameplay dnd sessions
Half dwarf, half giant raises so many questions.
Like, is the father a giant and if so I feel really, really bad for the dwarven mother ( *ouch* ) or is the mom a giantess and if so, the imagery of the dwarf father trying to hop on that booty is pure comic gold.
Either the father was a giant with (for a giant) a micro penis or was a dwarf with a very specific Enlarge spell cast upon their netters ...
I have no idea how I'm only just discovering this as I've been a fan of your videos for years, but oh boy do I have something new to binge!! Many thanks!!!
I’m rewatching the whole series from the top again.
And 3:44. That’s where BOB’s suffering all began.
Wow! This is amazing. Your storytelling is so immersive and yet, we feel you having so much fun. 11/10
17:35 in the subtitles, "arrogant apple crunch."

I've been impatiently awaiting the arrival of this series, as I had the best time watching your previous journeys. Your Baldur's Gate sessions is what got me interested in DnD and learning the game and DMing (Still learning tho). Many thanks to you, wonderful people.

Perfect timing, was just scrolling for something to listen to while I tackled another task 👌
