Heil PR40 or Shure SM7B Sound Test

- I have a sound test with two Heavy Hitters. The Heil PR40 and the Shure SM7B which one yall like?

Heil PR 40 have a great sound!
I like how the Heil PR40 sounded on your voice and didn't find it to be "tinny" at all. The SM7B seemed a bit muddy for my taste. You don't need the shock mount as long as you don't keep grabbing your microphone. The price of the BSW REPOP is insane for a pop filter and I realized that just by having good placement with the PR40 (put it off-axis, to the side!) and talking across it takes care of the -plosives problem. Thanks for the video.
Definitely the Heil. Sure sm7 is the boring go to. Heil is less expensive and sounds great. I’m picking up one up.
Love the sound of the PR40 here, a bit misunderstood, with extended range, so could take some effort to setup properly, it probably works great on instruments live and in the studio also, IMO if you want the more "classic" sound the Heil PR30 might be more suited and maybe more like the SM7b
The Heil PR40 is far more articulate with lows, mids, and highs well represented.
The Shure is full of lows and not much else. I guess if you want to sound like you have a low deep voice with no mids or highs the Shure is the way to go. It sounds very flat.
The shure has a warmer softer sound. But, my Dad left me the heil and I’m gonna have to run with it for a bit.
