Darby learning placeboard and treats 8 months old

For several reasons, this was the first time either Darby doing this drill. Typically this would be done early in the pups life. This video shows how I quietly get the dog to do what I want which is to get on placeboard and look at me. As she offered a sit action, I started holding out the reward until she sat. I walk away to get her off the placeboard and then reward her when she gets back on. I typically stand close to the placeboard at first so pup has to get on it in front of me. In the video you see I also stopped further away to see if Darby would turn away and get on the placeboard on her own. This will be something we build on through the next few months.
