    I moved from the blade v8 to this racquet. A very different kind of precision and control.
    I'd say this is my favourite racquet of all time. It brought back many memories from when I started playing tennis.
    I'd recommend you string the racquet with the Luxilon 4G dessert bronze as they are a match made in heaven.

    @raytrace2014 4 місяці тому +2

    Try a really thin gauge string in this frame. A 1.10 or 1.15. Solinco have string this thin, e.g. Hyper G. It drops the swing weight (can add lead to compensate if you want), gives you more spin, ball pocketing, power and comfort. Only downside is you go through strings quicker. It made my V13 versions of this racquet much more playable and forgiving.

      Be carefull cause this one is opposite of a clash, much more difficult and demanding to play, you have to drop at least 2 or 3 kg on the string

      @@seanplaystenis Classic frame but so many "modern" players use it for a good reason, like Kolshrieber, Opelka, Evans Bautista August, Del Potro, Rublev and Medvedev before switching to a juicier contract with another brand...
      Yeah the 97 v13 is way too stiff for my personnal taste, i was comming from a 20 years old 6.1 95 Ncode wich feels much more buttery and crisp at same time :D. I've finally switched to the new pro labs version wich are good. I slightly prefer the v13 compare to the v14, gel vs foam inside the frame.

    Just started following your page Sean. Great stuff. Have this racket. Love it. Something incredibly unique about this frame. Felt it immediately. Similar sensation (different feel) when I tried my second favorite racket, the tfight 305. Saw your RF01 Pro review. Have you tried the 300g 01 version. Curious as though I really love this 95 six one, have a nagging feeling I could do with a little bit more help from a racket. Cheers, Don.

    Is going for custom pro stock out of the realm at this point financially? Speaking of, I saw Tsitsipas's rackets at my stringers just hanging up there ready for pick up. Felt super nice in the hand. I wonder how different the layup is from the retail version.

      A lot of people don't know proper tennis but claim that they are advanced tennis players. In fact they are forever beginners (yet to learn tennis properly).
      Beginners use stiff and light, large sweet spot tweeners (for easy power and easy spin. They don't have to play with proper tennis strokes, don't have to play with proper tennis form, don't know tennis footwork, don't have to move their feet. That's why they play as if they are using flyswatters and in the form akin to playing badminton, squash, ...) Truly advanced/professional players use control racquets with more normal (ie. higher) static weight & swingweight and play proper tennis.
      A lot of of professional players on the ATP Tour actually use a variant or the pro stock versions of Wilson 6.1 95 (or Head 95 equivalent) with the latest popular paintjobs of Wilson / Head.
