Very good review as always. I think I have the original issue, mine is the ProModeler edition, the nightfighter version- which why I bought it. Thanks again for this kit unboxing, and all the others you do. My stash has many old 48th scale WW2 aircraft kits & I am committed to building them. As an example, I have almost the entire 17-model series of Otaki 48th scale fighter planes. Look forward to your next review.
Good Morning from Az. I wish I had a nostalgic story to relate. This has got to be one of the few Revell/Monogram 1/48 kit I have not seen, even this close! Nice build, Jon. Dig the wasp! All said and done, the "vintage" (I ain't saying old no more!) Revell, Monogram and so many others hold up well. I'm sure Jon's videos will keep these wonderful "vintage" kits being enjoyed for some time to come. And by a new generation. Jon, dig the history as usual! When ya gonna give us some "first hand" history pix? (I'm try to give you a reason to go to an "vintage" airplane place!!) Thanks Jon. Take care to all and........................... MODEL ON!!!!
I have several versions of the Revell and Monogram Pro modeler kits but have not built them yet. I did build the Bf 410 Revell. This kit came out great with no issues. Thank you for the great tips.
Hi Jon, excellent way to show that the Revell kit is a great model, although it does not come with so many extras, I think it is more enjoyable than the Eduard kit, comparing the Eduard kit that I built a couple of months ago, it was the Eagle Day version, with armament resins, maintenance crew and the traditional ones from the Profipack, In many things the Eduard kit visually on the inside is superior, I don't know if the Revell kit will be like on the inside, looking at the video, it looks good. As for the landing gear/engine nacelles, there I had difficulties in getting them to fit tightly, plus the position of the landing gear is very weak in its assembly, that's my appreciation, i see that in the Revell kit it looks much better. I chose the version with the shark mouth snout, so to speak, but the decals were very difficult to adjust without them starting to crack, and they also had a very thick film. I tried to remove it, wondering if they were the new type of decals that Eduard is using, a real fiasco. I chose to leave them as is without removing the film and matching them with gloss varnish. Well... I think my comment exceeds the comparison of the Revell kit, it should go in the Eduard one hahahahaha. Greetings Jon and until the next video, it is always eagerly awaited.
Hi Francisco, thanks for the personal insight into the Eduard Bf 110. It aligns with what I've heard about it (though I haven't built one). I've built several Eduard kits from the era of the Bf 110 and they seem similar - they all emphasize minute detail over ease of construction. There's no doubt that the Eduard kit can be turned out brilliantly by a master, but they can be challenging builds. Cheers!
Excellent review Jon on this model..Also may I say your builds always look the part..Thank you again for this great upload and all the best from Blighty🇬🇧🇺🇸👍
Jon, really outstanding build, a lot of detail finish work, I definitely need to add this to my build list. The canopy would definitely need a masking kit with my shaky lion paws Great job on all the yellow, toughest color to work with.I did finds a recipe for my " chrome" aluminum for the B-58, a black coat gloss for undercoat with one of the Alclad metal paints. Its in my test list. Definitely enjoying the larger models your reviewing . It's really difficult not to buy, however, I'm watching for some new 2025 releases and trying to catch up on building rest of the year. So Manny models so little time. Cheers Bob.
@c123bthunderpig Thanks, Bob! I'm definitely in a buying freeze currently. I probably still have too many kits to finish them all. 😅 The B-58 is an all-time favorite of mine. I built one in 1/144 many years ago. I don't remember the brand of kit, just that it was molded in silver plastic. Such a beautiful aircraft! Cheers
Hi Jon. Very Nice result. The resin nose and the weighted and branded tyres are good for an "older" kit. Have the Cyber Hobby Bf-110D Nachtjager in the pile. Don't know how it builds up. One look at it though and, as you recommend, purchased the Eduard mask set! Well done on the manual masking job! Nice work also on the wasp decals. A very striking colour scheme. Cheers for the vid. Hey Jon! Looks like a good build for a decent subject! That canopy must’ve been a tedious paint job or did you have masks? Canopies give me fits especially twin engine 1/72! 1/48 not so much… but still. Great review and build! Ride and model on!
Thanks! Unfortunately, I didn't get canopy masks for this build - and yes, it was tedious masking the canopy! The paint was also tedious and it took me a long time to complete this build. But I love the finished kit. Cheers!
I am still slowly working my way through the R/M kit. Have fitted some resin nacelles and opened the slats. It's a lot of work.. I also have the Eduard kit (unbuilt,) and I really dislike how the fuselage narrows down far too much at the top in the area just before the tail surfaces. Great review, subscribed!
@@paulbryson1692 I agree. But they're quite difficult construction wise. For many, I think the easier building Revell kit will be a better choice. Cheers!

Never tried pva for resin parts now the testors red tube is good for a strong bond & gap filler.🤔

I'm not sure what pva refers to, but I used white glue (clear parts glue) to attach the resin nose to this kit. Cheers!
@jonsmodelkitreview4624 poly vinyl acetate is the scientific name for
say elmers glue just like ACC is super glue!🤔
