So many young actors who are now famously well known, so wonderful to see them just starting out in their careers. Great series and follows the story line from P.D. James novels superbly.

they don’t give those honours to people just because they are good actors. They go to people who promote either acting or community services. Also, the actor has to accept the ward and if someone sees it as not important, they may refuse it.

I truly love a handsome bald policeman in a great suit.. Those eyes. . I grew to love Dalgleish as he lost his hair. And those dreadful toupees. Bald is beautiful, even in a few women.

it was a superb series with good scripts actors and direction. the reason i do not own a television now is because there are no dramas worth watching now, a combination of lack of will and finance, silly graduates in charge of production and politics. the series was complimented with music so evocative and heart rending. thanks for uploading.

I went on EBay and Amazon to find these on DVD form. I wanted hard copies. I got all the older Dagliesh miniseries super cheap. Unfortunately they don’t have much value to many people besides some British mystery fans. The newer ones were a bit more expensive but not by much.

Jo's boyfriend is quite a piece of work! Totally relaying on her for contraception, placing higher priority on his writing "career" than the child they had created...but her attitude was rather cavalier as well. Couldn't stand the hypocritical nurse Pierce - had it been her to find the money, she would not have turned it in. She was destined for a bad end.

It is no problem to remove the contaminated tube and insert a larger NG tube for lovage. Unfortunately dilution will usually not save the day with caustic poisoning as the lye quickly binds to the tissue. In addition the poisoned person never dies as fast as in the movies; even with cyanide. It usually takes hours.

Back in the 80s there used to be really implausible matches between men and women in British dramas. On what planet would beautiful and young Eleanor David want to get it on with Joss Ackland? Much as I respect him as an actor, he is not in her league and wouldn't be even if he weren't old enough to be her father. Same goes for the females John Thaw was given as love interests in Morse. He had some sex appeal for sure, but he was not particularly handsome. Too often there was a looks gap, as well as an age gap. The age gap continues to this day.
