I got a good one for ya. Me and my son have been working on this freebee for several months. '93 Kawasaki 750 ss. Ran good a higher rpm. Back on idle after 30 sec. would die and not start without starting fluid. Rebuilt carb and replaced everything. All new fuel pickup tubes in the tank and pretty much everything else. ( $$$) A local dealer had replaced all the fuel lines with the new ones earlier. So there was only one thing to look at or replace. The fuel selector valve. And that was the culprit. The dealer mechanic had crossed 2 of the fuel hoses on the valve. After changing the hoses to the correct position, it runs like it should. Starts right up in a millisecond every time. Even after several stops and starts just works like a million bucks. Hope this helps.
This was supposed to be private for now. This is the one that just got dropped off yesterday. I had to edit it to unlisted as I am waiting to hear back as to what he wants to do as far as repairing it.
Well it almost seems it starves of fuel cause it will run great no overheating which part should I test in the cud box it’s never been like sunk with water
It sounds like the cdi box is heating up and stopping working. It can also be the stator...but it is not as likely. I think the zxi uses the much less expensive cdi box. Check for spark or weak spark after it wont start. Good spark is nice blue weak spark is lighter orange red or no spark at all. You should also check compression on all 3 cylinders while you do that.

Hey I got a 1997 900 shade tree it dies after 20 minutes and won’t start back up
It is likely the cdi box is bad

It just ran on the hose for 30 seconds today then stalled pulled the hose before it stalled
Then it won’t start back up again

Why my kawasaki zxi1100 2001 is not running mor then 20 mph
@jonathannieves9892 no way to diagnose over the internet. Probably a carb issue, but it could be cdi or ignition components.
