I have a 2002 1100 STX DI. Bought it for $500 bucks and it ran great for the first two rides. Now the check engine light is on with the battery light on. Brand new battery and will barely run. Is this a stator issue or a problem with the EMM? Only has 40 hrs on it.

I have one of them it has no bottom end when you hold the thrautle at 3/4 then it will all of a sudden take off hard. Any ideas?

Change stator and ecm unit
