Hi I just bought a 1998 Kawasaki STX 1100 a few weeks ago the previous owner did an oil pump delete and damage the third cylinder the engine is now rebuilt and I'm about to put it back in the jet ski I will now be premixing the oil I was just wondering if you might know if the bottom case/gear box gets its own oil I read online somewhere that it doesn't and just gets lubrication from premixed fuel hope someone can clarify this for me thank you
the oil lines must be brittle and cracked, thats why there is oil in bottom of hull. just got mine running today i did a oil pump delete and just premix oil like I do my dirtbikes havent put in water yet
How much did you pay for this when you bought it? I am looking at one that is close to the same hours on it and am curious what kind of deal I am getting. Thanks.
It actually wasn’t leaking oil it was from when the previous owner changed out the front cover where the oil pump and pick up are at. But if yours is leaking up there it could be the lines going to the pump or possibly the pump itself
I actually ended up using Malco Rejuvenator it’s works really well and actually last a while. No they use the oil injection pump to lubricate the crank. I was always told you need to keep the oil injection pump and two stroke tank for that reason on the Kawasaki triples (900cc and 1100cc) engines.
Hey bro what we're you using to buff it ?
What products did you use to restore the paint. Have the same issue and trying to see what's available. Thankyou
TR3 Resin glaze works awesome! Best stuff I have found so far.

I got a really good deal on this one I picked it up with a trailer for $300
Its a two stroke. Dont put anything down the carb throats that doesnt have oil in it
got a crank for one repaired in New Mexico welded rods in place and block also complete no carbs though
I love this ski it’s also good for pulling tubes better than the ZXI 1100
Did you ever figure out the oil leak? I have the same issue. Thanks

What is the name of the products that you used to clean it?

Same boat, replaced fuel oil, plugs, hit the carb with spray, it fires up but dies after a few seconds... It's sat for 10+ years
Clean the carbs. Change the filters. Its likely all plugged up
Do they have crank oil ?

@@BASgarage so the only maintenance is changing the sparkplugs no lubricant to change ?
@@14jrloco correct and make sure it’s full of 2 stroke oil.
@@BASgarage got it 👍🏻 thanks
