Just paid my rent and now I can enjoying eating air for the rest of the month. 😄😑
1. Move out of an expensive state.
2. Consider joining military reserves for a monthly pay boost and cheap health insurance and opportunities to go full time in times of trouble.
3. Get a CDL and live out of your truck. You pay no rent or utilities and can save up your whole paycheck until you can make a nice down payment on a house. You also don't really need a car.
4. Don't buy stupid things like lottery tickets, monster drinks, and cigarettes or drugs.
Most people I talk to are usually too good for one or more of the above-all of which are things I did to get myself financially healthy from having nothing and no help from parents. Then when they cry me a river and accuse me of not being sensitive to them I just don't care about them any more.

At least in our current era, soon we will have an economic boom or shift in the 2030s, not only will our economy change but also view on the government. The 2030s will be even crazier than the 2020s.
The American dream will be alive and beating once more and you will no longer have to be asleep to believe it.
The end of the gold standard, a government that doesn’t care about its own people, communities, or families, and small businesses - only focused on taxing and regulating everything possible and squeezing the common plebs as much as they can, but not so much that they start protesting. Keeping them under control by overwhelming them with unnecessary information, fear, distractions and dopamine overstimulation. Dividing people into groups that 'oppress' each other and argue, so that communities never unite. And behind all of this and the puppet government are corporations with cartel agreements and elites growing richer.

Europe is not that much better
Sucks royally when wages don't go up commensurate with rising costs of living. Every single time I send off a bill with payment in the mail, I'm reminded of that as my health insurance premiums and utility bills go up, but my weekly salary doesn't. Every passing year means having to pinch pennies that much further. Life is about being in survival mode 24/7, and that's not much of a life at all!

@Dream-Eternal87 used to have friends like this, but they moved on because they have lives. And I know it's not their fault, but it happens and wish them well.
I was talking to a younger guy today who was hooking up power to a new house for the local power company. He never went to school but did an apprenticeship as a lineman.
He makes over $60/hr as a journeyman and has more work than he can handle.
If you are willing to be out in a snowstorm at 3 AM fixing downed power lines, you can make a good living.

"We don't hire new guys or greenies" too much of a liability yet they'll hire their sons, nephews, or best friends kid... Seen it plumbing way too much... Its a huge reason why you don't see black men or all women in general work the trades.... That training and skill is generational
The only reason the labor is worth as much as it is is because of the lack of supply of skilled workers. The more skilled workers, the less valuable the labor is.

Where did you get 48k? It's more like 40k. An average work year consists of 2,000 work hours. Multiply your hourly wage by 2,000 and that is your yearly income. Now, if you do overtime quite often you could make 48k making 20$ an hour.

I can get a $20-$25 an hour job any time. I could quit 30 of those jobs and find hundreds more within a week - a month. Anything under $25 an hour is honestly disrespectful and I would always feel broke off those wages. I never assumed that to be middle class but I do remember a time that I was excited for 20 an hour. Crazy to think that’s the standard still decades later.
just got a second job for christmas gifts and such. working 6am-10pm is brutal.
Shits so depressing, working my ass off every day, and it's like that saying with the snail climbing out of a well. Every day, it goes up 1m, but every night, it slips down 2m. Work ass off just to get no where in life. Then you see these other guys taking out hot girls in nice cars basically every night to expensive restaurants. I see it every day and its damn depressing. Im barely getting by doing everything i can and these other guys are just living life on easy mode. I pretty much gave up on finding love, im 27 barely making it by. Im just glad i got my parents and few friends. But like a shark, the only way to go is forward.

No hospital would delay a surgery because you don’t have money. That’s part of the reason it’s so expensive. A lot of people do not pay. And if you don’t have money and get somthing done. Call em and work it out once they mail you the bill, they don’t wanna have to try and recover though BK court either and will probably settle for much less.

This is where 90% of the people will end up.
Then there will be the private boutique system for those with gold-plated insurance and other assets. Lifestyle drugs, treatment for preventable ailments, and over the top treatment, including experimental and super high cost drugs, come at this level. Everything possible will be done to cure the patient. Your doctor will speak clear and precise English. This is where the Top 10% will be.

I work as a collage assistant, it support at the same university and then after that i am a truck driver.
First they/them give you a ton of overtime which makes the money look good.
Then they/them take it away making you realize how much you were actually getting paid for your time.
