Thanks for the video! Owners with newer models ( from 2014 I think; mine is 2016), note that it is no longer necessary to remove the large section of trim - there is now a much smaller plate that unclips and is drilled for access to the 4 mounting posts.
Thanks for posting this, just fitted a Givi box on a 2019 PCX125. Although you now just need to remove a little plate rather than a big bit of trim, the basic design is still the same.
I fitted one on my 2006 suzuki burgman a couple of years ago & was very pleased with the extra space. Apart from the wind noise that was very instructive.
From one Ulsterman (this one in Enniskillen) to another, a very big "thank you" for posting this video. I ordered the two brackets on eBay but when they arrived there were no instructions so it would have taken a lot of head scratching to work out how to fit them. Your video was therefore exactly what I needed. One small observation, the cover is quite hard to lift and I caused a small crack in it as I did so. (yours has one too!) It would be better to gently lever it up with a large screwdriver rather than pull on it. Thanks again.
Glad my video was of help to you. I did notice the little crack in mine but with the box fitted it was difficult to spot. It is handy thing to have fitted even with the under seat storage. Enjoy and thanks for your kind comments.
Glad to be of help Keith. We all have drop a screw or nut in an awkward place from time to time. I have a little extendable rod with a magnet on the end that is invaluable in that sort of situation. Thanks for watching.
Good job Gary.. I dont have a scooter, but I would think that it's much the same process for fitting the brackets onto bigger bikes which is why I watched your video.. At least I know now how easy these top boxes fit. The only thing I would have done differently would have been drilling the plastic from the other side to save scratching the paintwork.. Thanks for sharing.
thanks for your video .just a tip on drilling this plastic after drilling small pilot holes you can use a variable taper drillbit in a drillpress holdind the plastic piece by hand slowly feed it onto the drill bit makes a very clean hole
Found your tip 5 years on, thanks very much. Cone drill made a beautiful clean job of the bracket holes :) Horrible part is getting the plastic trim off the bike to start with!
The E231 is the metal brackets with the screw holes in them. The plastic base plate which attaches to the metal E231 brackets is included with the top case. I hope this helps.
Hi very instructive & it helped a lot, thankyou for taking the time Gary. I would urge anyone installing a topbox on this bike to stuff a rag in the hole behind the rack as I managed to flip a nut in the hole. It found the most awkward place to retrieve it back from. I initially thought I would need to dissassemble the whole bike to get at it but I used a screwdriver with a blob of Blue Tack to retrieve it, phew 8-()
@daveyctvr I got my plate and fitting kit from my Honda dealer. The stocked Givi parts as well as Honda parts. The Honda stuff was much more expensive. The E231 is just the brackets that fit the plate that comes with the monolock case. I think mine was around £80 for both. I hope this helps.
No, only the Monolock cases will fit. For the Monokey cases, you will need the E231 PCX125-specific bracket (the first brackets he attached in this video) and the E250 universal mounting plate.
Hi, very useful video. I have just bought myself a PCX. Was wondering where did you buy your box from and what did you get with it? I'm struggling to find everything together. I found a givi topbox - the E300B, which seems to come with it's universal plate. I think the rack I need is the givi E231 but this also seems to come with a plate so do I actually need this? But I'm not sure where to get the two metal rods you used from? Thank you.
Congrats for the video. To make that holes is not fair. Honda failed on it... It was 4y ago, but, do you still know the reference of the parts that go below the plate attached to to the PCX? If yes, please let me know. Tks in Adv.
+Leonardo Bernardi Thanks for watching. I believe the part number for the rack is SR1136. That is for 2010 to 2013 models. The plate comes with any Monolock case. I trust this helps.
when i drilled out the holes for my honda plate and box they weren't in the centre, but it isnt visible once the foam collars are on the bolts and the box plate is on
heya Garry i was just wondering, iv baught a universal topbox but have no idea how to fit it to the Kymco Vivo? tryed too look up manuals and pdf's but no luck. any advice?
All parts had drill holes marked on them, even the Honda tail piece. If they do not exist please tell me where in the video that they appear and I will try to help. Thanks for watching.
I was about to post the exact same words. Then I saw your comment. You are absolutely correct. I don't think he has much experience with tools. At least he gave it a go himself.
@@pieterpocica Ah thanks for that. It survived with no damage. The box only has a reflector on it but I'm sure a modification could be made for a stop light.

do you know from where can we get the rare rack ? i think it s not included in the givi box
I bought a used model(yes,i took that ,2011)and you help me so much with your video . thanks dude
Glad I could help. Enjoy your scooter.

Thanks so much for watching and I'm glad to be of help. Enjoy your PCX

Nice bodge job with the drill! :) Love it.
Thank you bro 🫡ı to much need to this video .

@uptowndisco2 The threaded holes are there for you. Only tricky bit is the drilling of the plastic.
Thank you for doing the video to help others.
Glad to be of help
Forgive my ignorance but what's your accent? Irish?
Loved the demo. Helped me with my own recent install. Thanks!
Glad to be of help. The accent is from northern Ireland and Belfast to be exact. No apologies for asking. Thanks for watching.

Good job! You make it look so simple. Are the tail lights integrated in the back of the box or is it a reflective piece?
I have an xxl Caberg flip front which fits in no problems and it is the largest helmet I have had. Your HJC should be fine in there.
Nice job. Now I just have to go and mount mine.
Great vice Gary, trunk you for sharing.
@onejillion it is just a reflector I'm afraid. Some come with lights but they are more expensive.

Excellent video, Thankyou.

Thanks for posting Gary, looks like there are threaded holes all ready under the plastic ?
Thank you, can the box be removed easily at the end of the day, then replaced in the morning?
There is a button at the back that gives you easy removal and it easily clips back on again. Thanks for watching
Hi Gary, I never noticed anything wrong? what did I miss? I thought you did a great job! Thanks for showing us :-)
Vert useful video . Thank you !
Malvina Carabas glad to be of help
Great video - thanks for that. So, with the bracket mounted, can any Givi box go on it or only the E260?
damn.. still, looks good in the end
Still solid to this day ! Thanks for watching

I can break plastic too but this time it worked.... LOL .... thanks for watching.
Question: Does the E260 topbox come with the mounting bracket that fits the PCS or it has to be bought separately?
Hello gary , nice video :-)
I actually need those 2 black support that you instal first on the pcx , do you know where i can find them ???
I bought them from a motorcycle dealer in the UK. The manufacturer is GIVI based in Italy.
thank you very much for your quick answer
Good video
Thanks
@hmattison1 it is a handy enough job to do. The place for the holes in the tail piece are marked for you .... good luck
Great job mate ta!
This guy is a little haphazard with the tools.
@wysiwyg2006 Mine were not exact also and a little side drilling had to be done but as you say it does not show in the end result.
The brackets have to be purchased separately but the base plate is included.
did you have eny problems with the monolock system? is it durable?
heya Garry i was just wondering, iv baught a universal topbox but have no idea how to fit it to the Kymco Vivo? tryed too look up manuals and pdf's but no luck. any advice?
Do you know if this mounting bracket will fit honda 2013 PCX 150? This is Givi E231 part? Thanks.
I know it was a bit rough but in absence of the proper size needs must. It is hidden under the rack so no hassle. Thanks for watching.
The monolock is fine. On the scooter it is very durable but maybe not on a big bike.
What you doing to my bike?
Thanks a lot for this!

Please, what's the mark on these metal plates and where do I buy them?

I think any monolock box will fit. Maybe other commenters can help. Thanks for watching.
Muy útil,felicitaciones!
Nice - Thank you Sir!
how can we accept to buy a such thing like this, without a decent bracket planed on design. how can we?
Was this filmed during an earthquake ?
+Dave Harris A light breeze hitting the camera gives a bit of noise. Never thought about it before. Thanks for watching.
Omg he f**d this up big time look at that lol
the f**k up is well hidden when you put the box on it !! LOL .. thanks for watching.
what a butcher:D

Still worked and is still on!
GaryGSF In the end, I guess it's the results that matter, not the technique.
Please start with a Little Drill and Go higher in diameter
Definitely the way to go with the increasing drill bits. I did rush a little on this job. Thanks for watching.
Good job!
Many thanks.
encantado de ser de ayuda.
nice video. thanks
This should be called "how to butcher your pcx tail piece"
Many a sin was hidden when the box went on ... thanks for watching
Thanks for watching. I hope it helped.
wow Savage Craftsmanship 😂
It works ... thanks for watching !!
Thank you.
***** Glad to help
Pcx 195 c.c.Vs Pcx 125 c.c.
Could have just got a box and bracket for the model of the bike to fit it properly. Instead of the hassle of faffing about.
why so many dislikes? oh wait, the wind.
not sure if i can do it myself.. i can break the plastic..LOL
What the heck are you screwing into???
There are actually threaded holes in the frame to mount the rack to. I hope this helps.
GaryGSF yep. Thanks!
putting a beer box on it !!!
LC 135
i would have put something soft under it,or on the grass.
Cool....I like ....how not to .....videos :)
So basically, butchering the back of a bike that wasn't mean't to have a top box on it.
how to you lock the box
It has a specific key to lock the box.
Glad you enjoyed it. Will certainly do more again.
What a mess! Drilling plastic with a wood drill FROM THE WRONG SIDE. Result: torn, splintered, jagged edges all around the holes. Dreadful.
I do agree but hey it was hidden under the bracket so no harm done. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Nice job....hehehe...
