im working on the same motor and can u tell me where the right position for my timing chain for the bottom gear cog and the top my chain is not in the right position thanks
Hi Tyson I have a quad with he same motor. It has a loud clicking when I decelerate. Seems to be behind the secondary and will only do it while driving it will not do it when it's lifted. Any idea which gear is shot behind in the tranny? It does it in in high and low and reverse. Could it be an adjustment?
Does anyone have an issue with the timing or position of the gears I thought I keep it straight when i put the cover back on but it's like I'm one click off I have H, N, and R, but the position is off a touch and can't find L. Sometimes, I get an E on the dashboard when I try to go into low?
Thanks for posting these videos. I am getting oil in the belt/clutch case, it is coming from the seal on the outer crankcase cover at the primary clutch. Do I have to take off the crankcase cover to replace the O ring? If not, how do I switch it out? 2018 Textron Alterra 500.
yeah its likely leaking from the outer seal as well as that o ring you need to remove the whole inner clutch cover, press out the clutch hub, and the support bearing underneath to get that seal. your suppose to use a special driver to install it, I have never tried to do it without. remeber to install the bearing with the seal facing the outside. basicaly oil is delivered to the crank through a passage in the case/and between the bearing seal and the clutch hub seal... its a great way to have an external leak.... its only your belt drive that gets destroyed getting soaked in oil
Hey man awesome vids, how do you get the outer clutch sperated ? The inside of mine is a bitch chewed up and i just replaced centrifigal clutch.. the big nut that goes to the outer housing... (rod) so to speak worked its way off and chewed that end up... response would be awesome !
Im working on an 2002 arctic cat 500 auto 4x4, my spacer between the fixed and movable clutch sheaths is stuck, wont budge. Has anyone experienced this issue before or have any tips on what to do? thanks!
You don't ever want to use a screwdriver or prybar to split the cases, its soft aluminum and will the machined mating surfaces will get damaged. Use a case splitter.
Only because literally the one thing I'm looking for nobody covered lol. the lowest gear in the flywheel side has a spacer and I can't tell which way it's oriented
Some way is a fuck nice video for al learners like me.very good job hands so fast know how to parting out fast iike to start to do parting out business too
i replaced EVERYTHING… new flywheel, stator, ignition coil, and voltage regulator. it has spark, fuel, and compression but will NOT RUN… i really need help or i’m gonna become an alcoholic
Well we don’t want that. Have you turned your left hand switch to the run position. Seems simple and stupid to mention, but a lot of people miss it. Let me know what you find.
Videos are very thanks for the information.
