Your like a madman working on that thing lol Those old Suzuki Engines are strong as hell. Gutless but get the job done. Those magnets was always the downfall great video
?4u Where did you buy your flywheel? You mentioned a name but I have a 400 that has no spark and I think it’s the same thing 2002 cat Thanks for your help and video!
I have a 2009 arctic cat dvx 300 automatic with the same problem, no power whatsoever even with a new battery. It tried changing the spark plug and still I’m getting no sparks, I’m stumped and don’t know what to do.
That's a BRP engine and are notorious for CDI failure. The Chinese ones are not correct and have to find a factory. It's the same as the Kycomo and Can-Am 250/300s with the automotive cvt trans
04 arctic cat 4x4 no spark new coil and cdi box no change,, but do have voltage to the coil because I’ve gotten bit while connecting wires to coil Is magnet on flywheel possibly still the issue Thx
In the video when you take the cover off, there is a washer that drops down and you said I will have to figure out where that went. I have this exact same bike with the exact same problem. Any idea where that washer goes? Any help is greatly appreciated.
@@weekendwarriorpowersports the linkage was removed from what originally a accelerator pump to convert it to a primer to meet Arctic Cat’s request. AC wanted to be capable of starting at -10F.
@@andrewjunk687 interesting...i'm running into the same issue on my 2004. I think its the CDI, but i found a broken wire @ ignition coil, jumped it over, got some spark but then nothing. Tried hooking the truck to the battery and cranking it, watching the spark plug, no spark! Bike already has the upgraded flywheel and stator, this is fun though..something new because can't find any good info online! And im pretty electrically inclined, just need to find good prints to read/test wires.
Is it cranking, like the engine is rotating? Does it have fuel, if it's a rear gas tank they use a vacuum fuel pump to draw fuel to the carb, located under the seat. You need spark, fuel, air and compression to run. Need to figure out which one you don't have
Ok It’s got spark and good compression The carb is a Amazon brand new but has never ran since the best I can find out, grandson will not talk to me about it so I’m going to pull carb , check valves and adjust them Retired diesel mechanic so I’m learning Thanks
Yeeaaaahhh, one of my first few videos. Was and still am trying to find the right combo of explanation and actually working. I appreciate you watching though, hope it helped ya!

Appreciate man! Those magnets were definitely designed on a Friday at 4:59pm.
They still have spaced magnets under a shield on the replacement flywheels hopefully better epoxy holding them

I got it off of ebay. It's made by Vitos Performance
Subscribedd m8 great video
Thanks man!
Hey man good job , and what name brand is the black impact you use , keep em coming
It's a Matco one, bout 10 years old lol newer ones are much stronger

I got a special screwdriver for some screws

@@blakenelson936 it was for the transmission. If I remember right, there is only 1 that it fits.
That’s a primer not a accelerator pump. No linkage to throttle.
Acceleration pump when running, primer when off. Literally same thing.
@@weekendwarriorpowersports does nothing when running. I developed that carburetor for Arctic Cat while working for Keihin.

did i hear some wonderful Aaron Lewis in the background? hes awesome especially am i the only one, great song
Haha probably. He was pretty popular on my pandora there for a minute

yeah i wish that was the only issue. Replaced flywheel and stator still no spark
Coil?

everything else tested within spec

How strong is the spark mine is very weak it runs but backfires and doesn’t rev up as good as it should
It should be pretty strong. Weak spark could suggest low voltage while running, weak coil.
Can't get my 250 Arctic cat to fire,no fire going to the spark plugs
Automatic, BRP engine?
What kind of lift is that?
It's a pro-lift, technically a lawn mower lift but I removed the tire hangers
@@weekendwarriorpowersports thanks, yeah looks like they don’t make it anymore.
@BillintheVille found it on the old marketplace several years ago for $200! It's been great.
Been there done that
1 or 4 is usa made, 2 is Canadian made
