I had a friend who hosted an outdoor bbq every year with 100 guests. They hired port o potties for the event. The bathrooms in their home were on septic and her toilets could not take that strain. Plus there was a pool and she didn't want people tracking mud and mess onto her floors. I thought that was fair. When I went over there for smaller gatherings, it was all good.

I've also rented porta-potties when I've had BIG parties. They were every nice, as well as nice to have! When a couple of the older ladies asked to use the restroom inside, I was 100 percent fine with that. Nowadays I most definitely need to consider renting the porta-johns for large outdoor gatherings, as we have what seems like a shaky septic system -- one that could definitely NOT handle a whole buncha' folks. NOT for everyday use, though! If you are welcome in my home, then you are certainly welcome to use the bathroom! =)

Ain’t gone lie, we had a family event and when it was all gone done, I went to the bathroom and they had went under that cabinets and in drawers, stole my expensive make up, toilet paper and other toiletries. I was pissed as hell. No more company! I get it because after that I was like no more company 🙅🏽♀️

When the natural gas man came to my apartment, I was like, "Oh, btw, do you need a glass of water or the restroom?" because I know they're out all day and don't always get to stop by a bathroom. Basic bathroom handles and hardware cost hundreds and are not designed to withstand “commercial use” . I’ve attended too many parties and seen many beautiful bathrooms literally destroyed after a few careless/drunk folks. Yes, take the carelessness outside to the port-a potty.

Actually, I could use one of those! We have a pool, but no pool house and kids (and some adults 🥴) tracking back and forth on my floors with wet, sometimes dirty-cause they too silly to put on slides or something-feet, just ain't cool with me. I'm trying to reduce the amount of cleaning I have to do after having people come hang out for the bbq. Plus, I have one half/guest restroom.... ain't nobody going upstairs in my house to the main bath. Unless and until I get something like this, people must be very aware of when they need to use the restroom and take turns and DRY OFF BEFORE COMING IN MY HOUSE!😮💨

WOW!!!!!! I exactly went to a wedding party picnic that was at a person back yard. It was BEAUTIFUL and had a lot of fun. I remember she had two portal potty, because she didn't want her guests coming in the house to use the bathroom. The only person who use her bathroom was my daughter. My daughter have autism and she was 5 years old. The host didn't want Lena to use the portable potty, because she's didn't want Lena to be scare of using the bathroom. I don't blame the host setting up the portable potty because she had ALOTS of guests.
This is brilliant. This world is crazy nowadays. You can't trust people coming in and out of your house. At a lot of large functions people will invite random people who you don't know from Adam. Plus i don't allow shoes in my house. This is smart.
I agree! I threw parties for years... and IT WAS ALWAYS something! I loved entertaining but due to past traumas, the invites became like golden tickets; only the closest, most trustworthy people were invited.... yet, something would still always happen. I just bought a house and I didn't even have a housewarming. I don't want anyone in my house... I'd throw a backyard shindig with a rented Port a potty because even though I like the set up in this video, the problem is you'd still have to clean it up/tear it down and who knows what folks will leave for you in there... I expect to be able to use the restroom at someone's house or I'm not coming. I was dying when she said, "Oregon Trail". All my people on there died of disentary. 😂 This is how I do it at my house: I provide room spray, disinfectant spray, disinfectant wipes, garbage can with bag liner and both toilet paper and fragrance free baby wipes. I expect everyone to be respectful and clean. I keep the bathroom clean at all times, for the most part. I get behind on my chores but that bathroom has been clean when someone was over 99.9% of the time. And when it wasn't, I probably just got over being sick or home from the hospital after surgery or something and it had been a couple days. I pride myself on my bathroom. I use bleach. I love Lysol toilet bowl cleaner, the thick blue kind. The President could use my bathroom. But he better leave it how he found it, all I'm saying.

I feel like there is a huge difference between inviting people over and having a whole gathering. One situation is a few people, maybe up to 3, so things won’t get out of hand whereas the other is 12+ and at any point someone can clog the toilet, nobody takes accountability(bc people have a tendency to hide from anything shameful) and some even continue to go on top of it until a decent person speaks up

I'm seeing handicap accessible. If your only bathroom is on the second floor, you host an event, a voila, Uncle Rodger, with his walker, can use the restroom at your picnic!
There are a lot of factors that can play into this. 1: is this for invited family and friends, or strangers/contractors/other service workers? 2: is the master bathroom the only bathroom available? 3: is this a small gathering (12 or less) or a massive family reunion? 4: is the event all outdoors? 5: does one of the guests have a physical disability that would make navigating the house difficult or impossible (assuming that this is an outdoor event)? 6: does someone who lives inside the home have an illness or is immunocompromised to the point where separation is ideal? (Yes, I have run into situations similar to this) Point is, it all really depends on WHY someone is doing this. Imo, for an outdoor bathroom, I would appreciate this much more than a port-a-potty.
Good idea, hosted Thanksgiving one year. Went in the bathroom to curl my hair, and both sets of curling irons were gone. The jumbo and the medium. My cousins girlfriend kindly helped herself to them.
My parents have held two weddings at their house which is basically an estate in the country, and after the first one the main worry was bathrooms because 200+ people and 4 bathrooms ruined both septic tanks. Now their events under 100, never any problems. So for a large event at a home is the only benefit I can see this use for. Or maybe if you’re having home renovations that will affect toilet access.
I’m not emptying NUTHIN that holds OTHER PEOPLES bodily fluids… and if I come to your house and you said this is what I have to do, I’m going home to use the toilet. Don’t expect me back!

I'm with her. I don't really want people using my bathroom either. That's why I need a 2 bath or 1 1/2 bath even when I lived alone. People flush with the toilet seat up and then I have to bleach down the whole bathroom before I can use it again. I don't want to feel stressed if I can't clean before I have to go.
I can see this for an outdoor event, like a backyard wedding. I’ve been to a couple and I always feel uncomfortable walking through the house to use the bathroom. The last one I was at, they got these really nice mobile bathrooms. That made it some much lots awkward.

No, I’m with the person. Don’t come to my home admiring stuff or asking 50 million questions, or go into the different rooms, or use the restroom. No. You only have access to the living room sofa, where you can sit down. That’s it. Take your shoes off before coming in as well. I don’t want your dirty shoes on my clean floors. I have disposable feet covers for your feet. I don’t play that. I’m the same way as this person. I don’t blame him or her, but I also do not invite people over, but the VERY SELDOM times that someone comes over, the mentions above apply. I’d rather we meet somewhere rather than going to someone’s home. Edit: I am the family member that will rent port-o-potties for events at my house. You not using my bathroom or walking through my home. You can’t let all of them spirit in your home.
This is the third tine, I've had repairs done to my home & was asked if they could use the bathroom! Every time, I've allowed it but am silently fuming inside. Ain't nobody wanna have to disinfect their entire bathroom cause a stranger was in there! Now, when I make the initial call for service, I advise them to put a note in their work order that under no circumstances will using the bathroom be allowed!
My best friend has a set up similar to this outside for people in the pool so they don't have to track water and wetness in the house. It's pretty cool but I just stay dry so I can go potty inside. 😂

We have a pool, but no pool house and kids (and some adults 🥴) tracking back and forth on my floors with wet, sometimes dirty-cause they too silly to put on slides or something-feet, just ain't cool with me. I'm trying to reduce the amount of cleaning I have to do after having people come hang out for the bbq.
Plus, I have one half/guest restroom.... ain't nobody going upstairs in my house to the main bath. Unless and until I get something like this, people must be very aware of when they need to use the restroom and take turns and DRY OFF BEFORE COMING IN MY HOUSE!😮💨

I can see this for a lot of different events: a child's outside birthday party, a large barbecue, contractors working on your house or yard, anytime there are more than 10 people or people you don't know well.

WOW!!!!!! I exactly went to a wedding party picnic that was at a person back yard. It was BEAUTIFUL and had a lot of fun. I remember she had two portal potty, because she didn't want her guests coming in the house to use the bathroom. The only person who use her bathroom was my daughter. My daughter have autism and she was 5 years old. The host didn't want Lena to use the portable potty, because she's didn't want Lena to be scare of using the bathroom. I don't blame the host setting up the portable potty because she had ALOTS of guests.

This is brilliant. This world is crazy nowadays. You can't trust people coming in and out of your house. At a lot of large functions people will invite random people who you don't know from Adam. Plus i don't allow shoes in my house. This is smart.
I agree! I threw parties for years... and IT WAS ALWAYS something! I loved entertaining but due to past traumas, the invites became like golden tickets; only the closest, most trustworthy people were invited.... yet, something would still always happen. I just bought a house and I didn't even have a housewarming. I don't want anyone in my house... I'd throw a backyard shindig with a rented Port a potty because even though I like the set up in this video, the problem is you'd still have to clean it up/tear it down and who knows what folks will leave for you in there... I would rather have a company pick up the portapotty and deal with it.
I expect to be able to use the restroom at someone's house or I'm not coming. I was dying when she said, "Oregon Trail". All my people on there died of disentary. 😂 This is how I do it at my house: I provide room spray, disinfectant spray, disinfectant wipes, garbage can with bag liner and both toilet paper and fragrance free baby wipes. I expect everyone to be respectful and clean. I keep the bathroom clean at all times, for the most part. I get behind on my chores but that bathroom has been clean when someone was over 99.9% of the time. And when it wasn't, I probably just got over being sick or home from the hospital after surgery or something and it had been a couple days. I pride myself on my bathroom. I use bleach. I love Lysol toilet bowl cleaner, the thick blue kind. The President could use my bathroom. But he better leave it how he found it, all I'm saying.

I feel like there is a huge difference between inviting people over and having a whole gathering.
One situation is a few people, maybe up to 3, so things won’t get out of hand whereas the other is 12+ and at any point someone can clog the toilet, nobody takes accountability(bc people have a tendency to hide from anything shameful) and some even continue to go on top of it until a decent person speaks up
I’ve been to a party and they had a porta potty there. It was kinda surprising? But I could see why bc nobody would want 40-50 guests in and out of their home. 🤷🏽♀️

I actually experienced that last year when I went to my husband's aunt's house for her birthday party. They rented a Porta potty for the guests. I wasn't offended, because I saw their point. Too many people going in and out your house using your bathroom with questionable hygiene habits. And I actually hate porta potties. Luckily I never had to go that day..😂
If youre hosting a cookout, this is for Pookey and Ray-Ray who got invited by someone who was invited, so they dont have no excuse to be in your house when they got to go.
I'm seeing handicap accessible. If your only bathroom is on the second floor, you host an event, a voila, Uncle Rodger, with his walker, can use the restroom at your picnic!

1: is this for invited family and friends, or strangers/contractors/other service workers?
2: is the master bathroom the only bathroom available?
3: is this a small gathering (12 or less) or a massive family reunion?
4: is the event all outdoors?
5: does one of the guests have a physical disability that would make navigating the house difficult or impossible (assuming that this is an outdoor event)?
6: does someone who lives inside the home have an illness or is immunocompromised to the point where separation is ideal? (Yes, I have run into situations similar to this)
Point is, it all really depends on WHY someone is doing this. Imo, for an outdoor bathroom, I would appreciate this much more than a port-a-potty.
That's a lot to consider if you care.

My parents have held two weddings at their house which is basically an estate in the country, and after the first one the main worry was bathrooms because 200+ people and 4 bathrooms ruined both septic tanks. Now their events under 100, never any problems. So for a large event at a home is the only benefit I can see this use for. Or maybe if you’re having home renovations that will affect toilet access.

I'm with her. I don't really want people using my bathroom either. That's why I need a 2 bath or 1 1/2 bath even when I lived alone. People flush with the toilet seat up and then I have to bleach down the whole bathroom before I can use it again. I don't want to feel stressed if I can't clean before I have to go.

I can see this for an outdoor event, like a backyard wedding. I’ve been to a couple and I always feel uncomfortable walking through the house to use the bathroom. The last one I was at, they got these really nice mobile bathrooms. That made it some much lots awkward.

Years ago, I hosted a family reunion cookout at my house. My dad rented a port-o-potty and put it the end of the driveway. Folks walking by, on the way to and back from the store would stop and use it. I would just like to say it was not my idea.
Soooo....I have 3 bathrooms. My personal bathroom in my bedroom NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO USE MY PRIVATE BATHROOM. Bathrm 2= immediate family and overnight guests. Bathrm 3 = heavy loads and parties.
If I was told I could go out back and use the tent, I would say “thank you for the invite. Goodbye”😂

Years ago my grandmother offer her home for my wedding and reception but wanted to rent a porta potty for the reception I kindly declined the offer, I was so mad at her for even suggesting it she had a 1/2 bath right by the side door nobody even had to walk around and it was only close family and friends invited 😡

No, I’m with the person. Don’t come to my home admiring stuff or asking 50 million questions, or go into the different rooms, or use the restroom. No. You only have access to the living room sofa, where you can sit down. That’s it. Take your shoes off before coming in as well. I don’t want your dirty shoes on my clean floors. I have disposable feet covers for your feet. I don’t play that. I’m the same way as this person. I don’t blame him or her, but I also do not invite people over, but the VERY SELDOM times that someone comes over, the mentions above apply. I’d rather we meet somewhere rather than going to someone’s home.

This is the third tine, I've had repairs done to my home & was asked if they could use the bathroom! Every time, I've allowed it but am silently fuming inside. Ain't nobody wanna have to disinfect their entire bathroom cause a stranger was in there! Now, when I make the initial call for service, I advise them to put a note in their work order that under no circumstances will using the bathroom be allowed!

My best friend has a set up similar to this outside for people in the pool so they don't have to track water and wetness in the house. It's pretty cool but I just stay dry so I can go potty inside. 😂

Now, I get if you're having a big gathering and need to not have everyone using 1 toilet, but outside of that, I just don't get having all of these house rules for so call adults. If an adult don't treat my home with respect then I don't invite them over again.
