Absolutely marvelous! I cannot believe that this amount of detail and effort can even exist. Thank you for this contribution to civilization.
you want those borders don’t you
And now it does
Здр foxy
Yeah this is cool
Yeah we do, lol??
Fantastic video! Nobody really talks much about Hungary during the war, so this is really cool to see.
They had some really high inflation too
@@leonrothier6638no they didn’t
That was in 1920
In 1940 they didn’t have huge inflation
@@irenaveksler1935
"The Post-World War II hyperinflation of Hungary held the record for the most extreme monthly inflation rate ever - 41.9 quadrillion percent (4.19 × 1016%; 41,900,000,000,000,000%) for July 1946, amounting to prices doubling every 15.3 hours."
Hungary is probably a better ally than the Italian
In 1944 Hungary was occupied by German troops because they were negotiating with the Allies, so the Hungary you see after that date in the video is actually a German puppet state just like the Italian Social Republic, and most of their fighting forces were German.
Fact: Italy was about to lose whole Albania from Greece 🗿💀
Lol, their army was weak but their navy is better than German, and the air force have some quality fighters but lack of numbers
@@LamLeDuy-zv9yd But their land army lost by Greece 💀🌝
@@jimstoilov doesnt change the fact that they are more important than Hungary also they have some good army unit and few good general, not all of their army is bad. Without their navy, German cant transport their troops to Libya due to lack of warship protect them (cuz German focused in U-boat), and the African front may end in 1942, their navy was experienced, make Royal Navy focus 1/3 of their ship to Mediterenean, help those U-boat in the Atlantic less pressure from RN. Also, Italia have a lot of mountain, make them become a shield for German from the South
I dont think German could lasted until 1945 without them
Very detailed, nice use of music too. The only complaint that I have is that it is sometimes difficult to see the major events since they go by too fast, however I can't think of another way to do this.
you could set the playback speed to 0.25x
I paused several times
Whats name of the music?
Lingering text is the solution. Other channels have a bar on the side where events are displayed, and even if they only last a few days, you have enough time to read them
@@evoluxman9935 I probably ought to do that, but I am not very technologically proficient.
4:19 According to my knowldge the announcement was about switching sides, with orders also given to the military to join the soviets. These orders were slow to reach the front lines, and the German takeover immadiately ordered to continue fighting. Some units got the first order first and joined the soviets, most did not. But this mess resulted Hungarians fighting on both sides.
The sources I looked at disagreed on the actual content of the announcement, but you're probably right.
@@yanxishan6575. I love this video! Can you made a other video the Irak or Thailand during ww2? (Sorry my bad english)
@@yanxishan6575 A little bit of nitpick here, but I think you missed the Bodlíky area in northwestern Hungary. That was returned to Czechoslovakia in Paris Peace Treaties.
Other than that, great work! As a person who likes playing Risk Universalis in Roblox, I am always the guy doing cities for other people role playing countries. I am amazed at your work and proud of you to do the cities and towns in the battle of Hungary 1944. Even though at some parts it was difficult to see the names, it amazes me that you have managed to fit that many.
I love your channel and the mapping community because of such high-quality videos like these!
Most of the units werent traitors and would not join the soviets either way.
Not at all. I just read up on the announcement. Horthy said these things in short: The war is already lost. Stop fighting on the fronts for a lost german cause. The government as of yet is still in order. and in the telegraphs to the units the message was to not resist neither soviet nor german troops. In the following days Hungary was invaded by SS troops
Wow! I'm a Hungarian, but i have never seen such a detalied map video about our little country, well done!
I really like that you have included many towns (i was "pleased" to see my little city!), it really gives a new perspective to the fightings.
This little events and happenings are sacral still today. Imagine about cities and villages, regions around you in the mirror of happenings.

It's crazy how tiny Hungary put up more of a fight than Italy for the most part
The amount of detail and effort that was put in to this is astonishing! Amazing work.
Never heard about operation spring awakening, the last German offensive during ww2. Crazy how the German army was rapidly disintegrating and still managed to put up a final offensive. Great video!
Absolutely Superb! Without a doubt you are one of the most detailed and innovative channels on UA-cam!
yan xishan seem to be only mapper on youtube to cover those overlooked themes
Overrated ones
@@kapatidtomas Hungary in WW2 is overrated? Literally no one ever talks about it.
This is one of the most detailed World War 2 videos I have seen! D-Mapper's level of researching. Great work, Yan :D
We need a new video

О привет!
The two best mappers meet...
Hell yeah i've been waiting for this to come out for a while, fantastic job as usual Yan! :)))))
Awesome!! I’ve been waiting for a video on Hungarian participation! This is by far the most detailed. Good work. Keep it up :)
Holy shit, this is beyond amazing! Thank you so much for making this!
Beautiful. Your mapping is pure art!
Nice job, Hungary in the war was very interesting, one of the most important but usually forgotten parts of Hungary in WW2 was when Germany invaded Poland Hitler wanted to use Hungary to invade southern Poland (like he did with Slovakia) but Horthy refused, in fact Polish soldiers escaped and were "interned" in Hungary (where they would later "escape" and regroup with other Polish army units) and thousands of refugees were also taken in by the Hungarian gov, so its nice to see that you pointed out how relations with Poland despite German pressure, remained friendly.

Thank you this wonderful video! From Hungary!
You are really hardworking, and heavily underrated creator, Yan.
Great video man I can see this had a lot of work put into it that’s a lot of cities!
Incredible job Yan, this was so well made
Man for the information and Editing you had in the video i think you deserve more subscribers
Can't wait to see what your next video is, you always do the best stuff.
Props for this man actually having so many romanian and hungarian cities compacted in there. Anyways another great vid mad lad
Very good work, the history of Hungary in World War II is very detailed👍👍
How many cities on frame do you want?
Yan: YES.
Believe it or not, this is a key how the war affected my very post-tribal country.
Bravo! What a great video! Surely you now should be considered the best mapper of youtube! It's a pity that soo few people watch your videos and are subscribed to your channel. Keep up the great work!
He really isn't.
So much effort is in this video, fantastic work! I would love to see Romania during second world war!
This is really an excellent work!
Thanks for the video!
Kösz a videóért
Great job, as always!
One of the best mapping videos on UA-cam for WW2. It would be great if in the future you make a similar video for Poland during the Second World War. A lot was happening but there really aren't any good mapping videos for it, at least after the initial invasion. Similar situation with the Allied Invasion of Germany though.
Holy crap - Even the pre-war partitions. Thanks for doing that!
Great work!
Yan Xishan please heart my comment so I know if you are still active on UA-cam. It’s been a year since you’ve last uploaded and I miss you.
5 months late.
It is likely I will upload in a video in the next few weeks.
@@yanxishan6575 holy crap that’s a sigh of relief. We can’t lose a great mapper like you from UA-cam. Also don’t rush. It’s easy to burn out that way.
the amount of effort you put into your videos is beyond me. I am though still waiting for the interwar history of the baltics.
Nice video, very detailed and good music. The text boxes went by to fast sometimes, making them impossible to read without pausing.
Its beautiful, such detailed and amazing informations. One of the best mappers, or maybe. The best.
I am left with an open mouth. Completely impressive! Good job!
Great video! I would be never able to do something so detailed with so much effort in a million years!
can you please make a video on the turkish war of independence?
This is a pretty good video, I hope you can soon make a video on the War in Afghanistan from 1978 to August 15, 2021, since I think that could be a good topic
The detailing in this map is just insane !
RIP to this channel, I'm hoping that you are just working on something big but if this is the last video just want to say they were damn good and high quality.
I was wrong, the channel lives!
your maps are absolutely amazing

Yes they hate them but i think they only took Romanians territorry becasue they knew that Romania couldnt hold the Soviets and tokk their Positions.

Great video
The detail put into this is BRILLIANT

I like the format but it might be good if you slowed it down so that it's readable without having to constantly pause and unpause
Very good video! Fun fact: the germans did managed to broke the siege of Budapest a little bit, only to place new troops there
Very good video, there are some spelling inaccuracies on some frames, you spelled Horthy's name with an "ó" and sometimes you reversed the name order, but otherwise, great work.
Absolutely staggering. The effort you, Ollie bye, and khey pard put into these are unbelievable!
I mean, where on earth did you find the patience to name every single one of those cities & towns?
The borders and frontlines are usually WAY harder to map out than the cities. I'm guessing most of the cities still exist today. The part I'm surprised about is the sheer detail these mappers need to make them.
I suppose it helped with the movement of front lines. Records mention which city was captured when. Mappers use this data to paint the map.
Very good video from Hungary!
Very good!
Wow, learned a lot!
Wow great job
