- In my last video as a civilian I speak about which regiment I will be joining and why I am going to join the Royal Irish Regiment. I also speak about a new injury I have picked up just before leaving to go to Catterick and how it has effected my training. I also talk about my plans for the future of the channel and more!

I’m worried about my medical I’m also red green colourblind wanting to join the rifles is the test hard and the back up test if they say you are colourblind?

Irish army here. Best of luck with basic and your future career, you’ve made a great choice with the Irish Rangers. If I was to do it all again I’d be going British army and the Royal Irish ☘️☘️☘️

No doupt about it you are mentally strong and have a positive attitude , you have done your homework . If you make the Army your career you will be a future NCO , sergeant and above . I know someone who went through the ranks to an officer . He ended up a Major. Good luck .

@@lewiec9662 in the first few weeks there’s not too much running, a lot of pt lessons and a few tabbings (weighted marches). Helps a lot to train before you start basic training, running, press ups and burpees 😂

Hi from 1cannon fodder to other you have to look at what qualifications will you gain when you leave army you would be better with a trade. Ref your ankle rap it up in vinger and but it in a ice pack
I'm in phase 2 in larkhill Artillery you could have joined paras, commandos or 473 battery special observers there propa hard core they do alot of special ops

is the medical anything to worry about as i have seen allot of people be denied due to minor injures or medical past? btw love the vids mate keep up the good work.

I served for 23 years in the Army , 10 of them in the R Irish. I loved my time , but when you leave the R Irish you will only be a number. It’s not a family Regiment when you leave - a number only

There no set time I've been through training twice at catterick and never had a CDT but if someone gets caught with drugs or tells the platoon staff they have taken drugs they will test the whole platoon

I'm a forex trader but want to join the army so I wanted to know what are the rules around bringing a laptop and being on the internet during phase one training?
Cant do it till week 12 but depends on your platoon staff but surely you can do it on your phone
Would not join infantry I would of joined a corp mate every bloke I speak to at my unit that are infantry say there body’s are fucked knees and stuff fucked get something behind you I’m a rlc driver and got every licence and promotion faster than infantry is really hard to promote
Do drivers get prromoted faster? I'm about to go into for phase 1 for Rlc driver but got told the promotions are slower?
I’m a rlc driver now mate it is easy as hell. Bud if you want faster promotion go to supplier they promote fast and if you got your car licence when you go phase two lecondfield you go straight on cat c so smash threw phase two faster any more info let me know
Have you got any Regiment recommendations? I'm geordie so 6 RLC will probably be most ideal
@@NUFC975 yeah or join a attachment I’m at 1 Med witch is tidworth lecondfield chooses for you really bud but beg to be near home
Do they let you choose attachment regiments n do you know what happens if someone gets to phase 2 n finds out it's not for them will they let you transfer to another part of the army?
