The "kid" singing is Josh Klinghoffer who was RHCP guitarist from 2009 to 2019. Super talented musician and multi-instrumentalist. Check his solo music project called Pluralone

A cover can only be better when it surpass the original. That's impossible with any of Prince's songs. I do love pearl jam but you are so sadly mistaken

I'm so sad I won't be seeing them on the new tour tickets are just too expensive this time around. By the time we got through the cue, the cheapest ticket was $779 Canadian. And that's still at the back of the venue. Nose bleeds were $200+ I've sent them twice before and was hoping to finally take my wife but I could fly to Mexico for the price of a ticket. I love this band but I can not justify this outrageous price sorry boy's guess you'll be playing the rich elite this time around. Enjoy.
Yup and they played a pile of um before this. They've kinda always tossed in a Neil, Who or whatever song to end it. Getting to hear Alive at the end of EVERY SHOW is a gift to us, these are come back down tunes and this is an awesome one! Sorry you don't seem to agree
Deep sea diver opening band lead and backup singers too - Josh’s pluralone opened for them last year and he does a great cover of Purple rain … josh was singing backup most of the night too. There’s a video of earthlings performing Petty’s room at the top which is ❤ amazing Ed ❤ plus josh backup vocals , Chad smith on drums too
