Great Video- we are taking kids to Mt Hood in June for snowboarding camp and then headed to central Oregon and the Bend area for the 4th of July and this is great to see these areas this way to grasp the beauty. The stability of footage and music make it very nice to view!!

I wish I was younger too! And this is my 'hood. It truly is one of the best places. Close to the Ocean, great climate, friendly people, and lots of wide open spaces.

Great video! I've decided that I want my book to take place in Bend, Oregon and this really helped! I'm still too young and can't actually make the trip over there so this was really good for capturing some key locations and the scenery that I needed. Keep up the great work!

Slight correction on your names, though...about the 5:25 mark, where you have "Scott Lake with Mt. Bachelor in the background"...that's actually SPARKS Lake. Scott Lake is up on the McKenzie (Hwy 242) on the scenic way from Sisters towards Eugene...

Hmm. We drove through to Bend just recently and we were wondering why the trees are so thin and so close. Is it new growth after lava burned them up or do they plant and log in that area?
It's cuz they're a specific type of fuckin tree. That's like saying "this tree is thin, there must've been a fire"

Hi Max, I filmed everything with a GoPro Hero3 Black Edition. Just got done previewing video I took today with the new Hero4 Black Edition, wow is it amazing. Today's filming was on the coast between Brookings and Gold Beach of the various view points. I will have a video edited before to long.

Very nice well made video my friend, especially the clip coming up through the trees. Your so lucky to live in a breathtakingly beautiful place. I met a guy from Bend many years ago on my travels in Thailand his name was Bob he had a parking lot striping business, I wonder if he is still about? Don't know him do you? Lol.
No I don't know him. I am actually from Medford Oregon and was up there on business and spent the afternoon filming for fun before the drive back home. Thank you for the kind comments.
If visiting Bend in 2023, be aware that the cops and authorities support and protect landlords if they threaten, assault, abuse, torture paying customers, you can have your bones broken and property stolen and no one will face criminal charges, besides YOU if you call for help and stand up for yourself exhibiting anger and frustration.
What type of drone/camera are you using?
For this video I used a DJI Phantom 2 with a Zenmuse H3-3D gimble and a GoPro Hero 3 Black edition.

The colors of Smith Rock seem to be bleached out and not as colorful and vibrant as they really are. Nice video though.
I filmed this 2 years ago with my first drone using the original 1st gen GoPro. Now we have multiple drones and much better cameras and editing software. Check out some of our newer stuff here and of Facebook at Sky Lakes Media.

Don’t listen to Jackson. Still tons of room. Bend is booming, but there’s still room. Redmond and Sisters are also nice, and Madras is home to only 6,000 people.
