In this case I have a lot of tolerance. 🙂 I know that Święty is very hard to pronounce for a native English speaker. You are right - Ersetic is her husband's surname. I like both Polish athletes! Justyna Święty-Ersetic is very successful especially with the Polish 4X400m relay. But she is also successful alone on 400m as here in Berlin when she also won gold. The Polish athlete Iga Baumgart-Witan, on the other hand, is better in a team. She has often won gold with the Polish 4X400m team together with Justyna Święty-Ersetic. Also in Berlin 2018 the two Polish athletes won with the Polish 4x400m relay gold.

The gold medal at the European Championships is still a major achievement. And Justyna won two in 90 minutes! Irena Szewińska was a great athlete, the Olympic Champion and the World Record Holder, but interestingly she had never been the European Champion in the 400m.
Justyna Święty-Ersetic and Iga Baumgart-Witan run again about an hour later in the 4 x 400 m relay and also won the gold medal.
It was about 90 minutes later, to be more precise. Anyway that schedule was stupid and unfair.🙁
So did Floria Guei for France (7 individual, 2nd in team), Laviai Nielsen of GB skipped the relay after the indidual final.
