Hi Dr. Deshauer! Your videos are always so interesting to me. I want to be an RN and eventually an NP, and right now I’m in high school and I’m getting my nurse assistant certification this semester and then the next 3 semesters (second junior year semester and all of senior year) I’ll be taking LPN classes at my high school and then take the NCLEX-PN once I graduate. Your videos are so cool and they always motivate me. Your videos always brighten up my day!
@@ViolinMD Oh wow no way, you responded! Yeah I am really passionate about it. I’ve had my fair share of experiences with bad physicians and nurses, and I think that should change. I want to be part of the change. I think my experience of being a patient while dealing with bad medical staff will help me help patients. I’ve also always been so interested in science and health and I want to be able to help people.
What an interesting topic! My melanoma didn't present as a typical mole at all, honestly. My oncologist thinks it's because it started somewhere else in my body, and then migrated to my back, where it showed up as what my GP thought was a cyst. After a biopsy that was quickly ruled out. Had I known that melanoma can present in other ways besides a mole, I would have gone a lot sooner when I saw the bump forming. Good news is that I'm In remission now and feeling wonderful! ♥
My Grandmother had severe gout in her fingers caused by medication she took to keep kidney disease at bay - catch 22! We treated her fingers as best we could but crystals would erupt from her skin and it was getting to the point the holes were joining up... She passed aged 96 and had wanted to go. Gout is very serious and not caused just by a rich diet.. excellent video, thank you x
Yes, that would be an interesting topic. (I have rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and sjogrens & I have rheumatoid nodules too) I wish rheumatoid arthritis would be renamed as many people mistake it for osteoarthritis (and the name rheumatism seems to be used interchangeably for any arthritic conditions where I live) and it does cause a bit of confusion
A "rum blossom" (AKA "gin blossom" or "whiskey nose") is an enlarged red nose sometimes seen in serious alcoholics. Question, for the flushing of skin.... What does it mean when ur skin does that after a surgery? Had that happen the day after I had an oral (bad tmj) surgery. My skin on my face (mostly cheeks) and upper and lower top side of my arms turned red and were warm to the touch. No other symptoms with it. And it went away just a couple days later.

Very informative video. If you don't mind me asking: what may be the cause for those red beauty spots? They look exactly like regular ones in shape and size, but they are bright red instead of all shades of brown. I've been having one on my forearms for years and so far none seems to have had a good answer for it. All I've been told is that "they are just beauty spots like the rest". 🤔
I had bags form under my eyes a few months ago . Then a skin tag formed off the right side one . For the last month the skin tag has got smaller and some of the dead skin fell off .
